Giraldo vs Darcis Betting: Santiago Giraldo looks value against the Belgian
Time for a small review once again, although there is not much to be said due to all of those rain delays. Stanislas Wawrinka could not do much against Andy Murray and Dulko/Suarez lost in a very strange manner after starting strongly, but that is about it in all honesty, so I am not going to make any evaluations just yet. I do not like to have too many open bets in play and there are indeed still a few matches to be played, so I am going to go with just two selections today, albeit with a bit higher stakes. The first comes from the encounter between Santiago Giraldo and Steve Darcis and I am going to go with Pinnacle once again.
I obviously know that Steve Darcis has managed to beat Tomas Berdych in the first round, but I would not want to read into that too much in all honesty. The Czech number one was not moving well on that day and Steve Darcis simply took advantage of that. He is a tricky player that can move really well on grass and he can also use his backhand slice very efficiently, but he does not have much apart from that and I can definitely see him struggling today. I would also like to point out that he had serious problems with finishing Berdych off, since he was serving for the match at *5-2 and then also had to face two break points at *5-4.
Meanwhile, Santiago Giraldo had no big problems against Ryan Harrison and I would say that he deserves plenty of respect for that straightforward victory, as the American is always a very dangerous opponent on grass. In my opinion, Giraldo can click into a higher gear than Darcis - and I do expect him to be on the top of his game in this duel. Unlike Darcis, he also has some very good attacking shots in his arsenal and that should amount for something on grass.
Back Santiago Giraldo to beat Steve Darcis for a 4/10 stake at 1.87 with Pinnacle
