Giannessi vs Gimeno-Traver Betting: Alessandro Giannessi to defeat the inconsistent Spaniard
Well, that was another poor day for us. Thankfully, we have started the week with the intention of keeping the stakes low for the first few days. Those dangerous days are now behind us in my opinion, so I am going to increase the stakes for today's matches by one point, since there are two very interesting match-ups on the schedule and I simply cannot ignore the odds that are on offer over at Pinnacle.
Daniel Gimeno-Traver, who has been incredibly inconsistent in recent months, is going to play against Alessandro Giannessi and there are many facts that suggest that he might actually fall at this hurdle. His win against Kukushkin might look nice on paper, but Kukushkin has been playing horrible stuff recently and that needs to be taken into consideration.
I have seen the Italian in action on Tuesday and I have to say that I was impressed by his attitude and determination. He is an ambitious youngster that wants to do well on the tour and he is doing everything he can in all honesty. He has some poor losses, but he looked fine against Berrer and that epic victory should do a lot of good for his game and confidence.
The bottom line is that Gimeno-Traver simply cannot be backed as a favourite these days and it is almost always worth going against him in such situations. This is a guy that can lose against virtually anyone and Giannessi should know how to beat him. After all, the Italian has a 2-0 record against him (4-0 in terms of sets) and the most recent victory is not even that old.
Back Alessandro Giannessi to beat Daniel Gimeno-Traver for a 2/10 stake at 2.24 with Pinnacle
