Friends Life T20 Betting: Yorkshire 7/2 favourites to win the tournament after the end of the group stage
Yorkshire are the new 7/2 favourites with Bet365 for the Friends Life T20 after the quarter final draw was revealed on Sunday. The group stages of the tournament finished in wet conditions on Sunday which left us with the eight sides who will be battling it out for a place in this year’s finals day in Cardiff at the end of August. Yorkshire topped the North Group and drew Worcestershire at home in the quarter finals which is considered a good draw.
Sussex are the second favourites for the tournament now after they came through the difficult South Group on top of the pile. The Sharks, former winners of this tournament, can be backed at 4/1 with Bet365 as they prepare for a quarter final at home to Gloucestershire. Sussex have been to plenty of finals days and will be aiming for another when they host the West-country side.
Nottinghamshire are the third favourites in the betting market now even though they were only runners up in their group. That was enough to earn them a home quarter final and that will be against Hampshire. The Outlaws, who arguably have the best batting line up in the competition, are 9/2 with Blue Square to beat the 2010 winners and go all the way to the title for the first time.
Somerset were the other group winners. They won the Mid/Wales/West group despite a couple of wobbles late on in the group phase and their reward is a home quarter final with Essex. Somerset have been runners up in this tournament for the last three seasons so they will be desperate to go one step further and they can be backed at 5/1 with Blue Square for the tournament. It is then 6/1 about Hampshire and double figures the other three sides.
