| After Arsenal destroyed Porto I expect them to defeat Hull easily and Arsenal -1 @ 2.25 might be a good pick.

| I might lay us, even at that price. We should be about 30. If we were 29 up at Old Trafford, we should be the same at Anfield. Liverpool should be about 1.01 ![]() We never get anything in Liverpool, and I don't expect that to change now. Last night was our worst performance of the season. Liverpool need the points, so you could say, there is value in the home side @ 1.28. For the people that see value anywhere. Actually, we did get a couple of draws under Redknapp, but that was a long long long time ago.

| Stoke certainly look interesting at home to Villa. Give them chances to win that one. Arsenal's price away to Hull is terrible really. Away from home after a European match. Still some injury doubts with Fabregas....Silvestre will probably play. Alot of bad blood between the two teams. Hull might be bang up for this one. One to avoid I think. |

| Burnley vs Wolves Really liking the look of over 2.5 goals in this match at 6/5 with Bet365, both teams need to win this game because it looks a straight 3 way battle between these pair and hull. Wolves have been extreemly unlucky infront of goal this season they should of got something from the bolton game an perhaps merrited a draw against Manchester last week, I can see Mccarthy approaching this game the same way they approached the Hull game away with doyle up top on his own but with more emphasis on attacking unlike the defensive performance they put in against Utd. This leaves spaces open at the back at which i think Burnley will take advantage of at least once, saying this i fancy Wolves to come away with the 3 points. I can see it being an open game with plenty of chances and im banking on Wolves finally finding their scoring boots. Selection Over 2.5 --6/5 Bet365 Also a small stakes bet on Wolves outright -- 23/10 Bet365 |

Add in the bad blood between Mr. perma-tan and practically the entire Arsenal establishment, Hull's home advantage and the fact they're scrapping to avoid relegation and you do have some cause for concern.I still see Arsenal winning this mind, but not comfortably. If I were you I would wait for some team news regarding Gallas and more importantly Fabregas. Their inclusion would definitely make the Arsenal win a whole lot clearer and not to mention smoother. ![]() Last edited by underdog30; 10-03-2010 at 23:30. | |

| Burnley v Wolves A 'six pointer' between 18th placed Burnley and 17th placed Wolves will be one of the biggest games (certainly in the relegation battle) of the Premier League weekend and I fancy the away side to at least grab a point. Burnleys home record this season reads won 6, drawn 5 and lost 3 which by all accounts is a decent record especially considering their position in the table but you only have to look across at their away record to see why they are there. Since Brian Laws has taken over as manager they have played 4 at turf moor with 1 win, a draw and two losses. One of those losses came against Chelsea which in understandable, the other against Portsmouth being less so, considering that must have been viewed as a game they needed all 3 points from and ended up taking none. The game they did win at home under Brian Laws against a struggling West Ham team was slightly fortunate with West Ham unlucky not to equalise. The Hammers also had more possession and more than double the attempts on goal, suggesting again perhaps that Burnley were slightly fortunate, but a win is a win as they say. They have won 1 game in 10 under Laws and 2 in their last 20 league games. In the previous fixture played at wolves earlier this season the game finished 2-0 to the home side. 3 out of the previous 4 games held at turf moor between thses sides have been won by wolves with burnleys 1-0 victory last season being their only win out of those 4. Wolves away record by contrast reads won 2, drawn 3 and lost 8 with those away wins coming at wigan early in the season and a fantastic win at white hart lane. This record hardly inspires confidence in this Wolves side away from home, especially considering their last 6 games away from home reads Lost4, draw 1, won 1. However with 2 of their losses coming at man utd and liverpool it does not seem so poor, especially when you consider their last 2 away games at Birmingham and Bolton. In the local derby they went down to 2 late kevin phillips goals and recently at Bolton they somehow managed not to score hitting the woodwork twice and missing other chances. The problem for wolves is scoring goals, with just 21 goals in 28 games, its not hard to see why they are currently sitting 17th in the table. However, having watched this Wolves side a few times this season, most recently against Man Utd (where they should have drawn the game had it not been for a glaring miss by Sam Vokes in injury time), I do like a lot of things about their team. They have good width especially with Jarvis down the left, a hard working midfield and a striker who in my opinion has a Premier League future with or without Wolves in Kevin Doyle., impressing on numerous occasions during the season. They do not always come out with the result they deserve (this is football) but if they can get their shooting boots on it is my belief they could stay up this season, starting with 3 point on Saturday. By no means will this be easy, it should be a closely fought, tight game but with 4 more days to prepare and in my opinion the better recent performances coming into this, I will be taking Wolves for the straight win, hoping they can take their chances. | Arsenal are looking to demolish Hull as they did with Porto and will probably have succes with this issue. Aston Villa are having a hard away game at Stoke City, I think that it is time for them to win away from Villa Park but a safe bet looks to be an over 2.5 goals to be scored. |

| Manchester United-Fulham Surely Manchester United has to be a great bet here considering that Fulham have an awaygame against Juventus today. Rooney looks better every game and it looks like a long afternoon for Fulham. ManU -1.75 2.06 Sbobet 2/10 |

| A conventional bet. Accumulator: Arsenal away @ Hull - Arsenal Win Spurs home to Blackburn - Spurs Win Juventus home to Siena - Juventus Win Man City away to Sunderland - Man City Win 5/1 I'm throwing £60 on - £300 plus my £60 back. Anyone got reservations about any of these? Please state with reason, if so.... |

| Tottenham v Blackburn Looks on paper to be a banker home win, but I would be very cautious. Spurs will once again be without Lennon, Huddlestone, Jenas and Bentley in midfield, meaning Modric will probably come central again with Bale out left. I really think Spurs struggle without Huddlestone in the middle, as Modric has never really created a partnership with Palacios, and Bale is more of a left back than a left midfielder. Defoe does return for Spurs but how much of an impact he'll have I'm not sure. We've seem numerous times that Spurs can struggle when they're expected to win, especially at home when we've seen them fail to win against Hull, Wolves and Stoke this season, and although in the majority of games their home form is decent, it's those few games that puts me off. Blackburns away form however isn't great to say the least, although they were slightly improved against Liverpool. They do concede far too many goals away from home, but, on the plus side their defence has performed better in the last few games, keeping three clean sheets in their last 5 games, although they were against West Ham, Bolton and Hull. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion Spurs should run away with this considering Blackburns away form and the lack of pace in their defence should be a plus for Defoe. However, those three games where they dropped points do put me off, and if Blackburn come and set up to defend, there's always a chance Spurs may bottle it again. Therefor I'm going to head into the corners market and take on the handicap. I think with Spurs pushing forward constantly the corners should rack up, whilst Blackburn are likely to line up with a 4-5-1. Spurs average 7 corners at home, whilst Blackburn average 4 corners away from home. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bet Spurs -3 Corners @ Evens (StanJames) Last edited by Jk; 12-03-2010 at 10:41. |

| Birmingham v Everton I told myself a few weeks ago that I would be on Everton pretty much all the way to the end of the season as I thought they would have a good run-in with players coming back from injury. However, they keep coming up against tricky opposition that prevents me from backing them, and it seems the bookies have cottoned on to Evertons real ability aswell by pricing them relatively low. Birmingham seemed to hit a blip a few weeks back but are still showing they deserve to be where they are by picking up wins here and there against Portsmouth and Wigan. There incredible injury-free record seems to look like it will continue, and is surely a major reason for their success this year. Everyone knows they're a stubbon team who concede few goals, and I think this game will end in similar vain. They've only conceded 5 goals in their last 11 home games which is quite incredible. Everton have a lot of quality in their team, especially in the midfield with Arteta, Cahill and Donovan, who incidentally will be playing his last game for the Toffees before returning back to the states. However, Saha is still suffering from injury and without him they lack a real decent striker. Yakubu is getting on a bit now and lacks the power and pace he had a few years ago, whilst Anichebe isn't yet up to the standards of top premiership football. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion I think this will be a bit of a stalemate. Both teams will probably line up with a 4-4-1-1 and cancel eachother out. Both teams are quite similar in the fact they have a decent defence and a hard-working midfield. I can't see many goals in this one and fancy it to end in a draw. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bet 0-0 @ 17/2 (Skybet) 1-1 @ 6/1 (Skybet) Last edited by Jk; 12-03-2010 at 10:56. |

| Bolton v Wigan Not exactly the most glamerous of ties to say the least. Both teams come here off the back of two different results, Wigan off a 1-0 home win to Liverpool and Bolton off a 4-0 defeat away to Sunderland. However I think we could see a reverse of fortunes at the Reekbok tommorow. As I expected, Boltons home form has been strong since Coyle arrived, in fact they've only lost once at home in their last 10 and that was against Arsenal. Although they're struggling to score, they've been stubborn at the back. I do think there's goals in this team though, I'm a big fan of Wilshire who scored his first the other day against West Ham, and I'm hoping Coyle will start Klasnic over the hopeless Elmander. I'm also a fan of Lee in the middle who looks like a tricky player on the wing. Wigans win over Liverpool was their first in 10 games, and Liverpool wern't exactly firing on all cylinders. I really want Wigan to perform well, I like Martinez is trying to get the team to play football but I just don't think the quality is there to do so. They've won 3 times away from home this season, of which two were Burnley and Wolves and one was on the first day of the season against Villa. They've lost 9 of 14 away from home. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion I think Coyle will build on the solid defence that Bolton have had at home, and try and play with a bit more attacking intent using Wilshire and Weiss a bit more freely and by now the players should know their system. I think despite their win over Liverpool, Wigan do lack quality and I can't see them getting anything here to be honest. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bet Bolton @ 5/4 (VCBet) 1-0 @ 13/2 (VCBet) 2-0 @ 9/1 (SportingBet) |

| hi all...the bet that comes to my mind is to lay aston villa..stoke is playing good football...they were rather"unlucky" against arsenal..before that specific there was on a good run..think 8 unbeaten...in midweek they were leading at half-time at burnley..they are strong at home...no question about that...again delap ""free-kicks""might lead to some goals..a 1X bet..seems good.. @@jase..agree with u...portsmouth played badly..in midweek...but...against liverpool...we do not know..even a low league team can beat them..on a day..and remember..pompey is a PREMIERSHIP side..i think the players..will try do something..2 my part i rather stay away frm that...cheerss. ![]() |
