| Nope but I enquired and got the following .............. QUOTE : "Unfortunately for this year’s live final PokerPlayer were guaranteeing just a seat and no travel or accommodation expenses. This was what we have advertised from the start of the Grand Prix 5. There are hotel rooms at £65 available at the Travelodge, Park Royal." For those that aren't familiar , this travelodge is like 50m max away from the Western Club . |

| I played awful and was out before the first break, lost most of my chips running a bluff against PP Ross Jarvis when I didn't need to get over commited. Eventually busted against the overall winner with an AKs suited push over his Btn Raise he made the call with TT.I Hit an ace on the flop and he hit his ten on the turn. I busted early enough to play in the £40 freezeout so lost touch with the other Pl'ers (I even missed the f***in Buffet !) Dreamkiller, AA_Hall, RIVRD and Eyesallin. I travelled down with Mike Saban who, aided by lashings of Stella, and Vodka Red Bull, was running all over the table early doors - until eventually busting when his 66 All-In was called by 55 who proceeded to hit his 5 on the river - Mike finished in 15th. (I'll let him recall his other bad beats )We then moved onto the cash tables where we gratefully covered our expenses and more. The locals got a 'little restless' at times as Mike expertly portrayed a 'Hopeless Drunk' - tilting the real hopeless drunks on the table into donating to his Weekend away fund. We finally hit the hotel at 5:30am. Ignoring the tournament result, the rest of the day was excellent and I look forward to qualifying for next years -which after speaking with PP staff may well be re-jigged a little by the way of start time and blind structure, as the final table didn't finish until around 4:00 am |

| Not much to add to VOJ's post really, a great day out, disappointed about not final tabling as I felt on was pretty much on top form, laying down some big hands and getting chips in when I was infront. I took a number of beats late on which led to me raising and calling for my last 7k with 66 with blinds at 800/400, as mentioned I was up against 55 and got rivered. I could have waited and may have had a better opportunity later on, but I was looking to dominate the table and thus needed to rebuild my stack. The cash table went very well, PLHE £2/£1, its amazing what image you set up when you call pots down with hands like 93o and 56o, you tend to get paid off big time when you actually have a hand. I could have kept playing but everyone else ran out of chips and walked away with probably the equivalent of a top 3 finish from the tournament.Same again next year hopefully.
