| Czech Republic will almost certainly be missing Tomas Rosicky which is all but all of the midfield gone. It's such a terrible vision that the management have even been toying with the idea of recalling Pavel Nedved again. Matejovsky was a decent replacement earlier in the season, but I doubt he can last in top form for long. Cech the goalie is also a big question mark, although playing again for Chelsea, but the face wound can easily get torn under pressure as it's pretty fresh. Second choice goalie, Blazek, not in very spectacular form. |

| 1st Portugal 2nd Czech Republic 3rd Switzerland 4th Turkey Portugal will win this group if Christiano Ronaldo will be on the level he is at the moment. Czech is better than switzerland and turkey in my eyes. But it´s possible Switzerland and Turkey change the positions... maybe |

| Czech Rep. - Just been announced that Rosicky will be defo out, undergoing an operation next Tuesday. Nedved hasn't confirmed yet so at the moment there is no creative leader of the midfield in the team. |

| After the pandemonium in the play offs for the World Cup 2006, I'm looking forward to the Switzerland vs Turkey game. Keep an eye on the bookings. But bookies will probably be aware of that and will set the lines high. The Swiss could make it to the next stage. My personal theory says that one of the hosts will definitely progress and Switzerland look much stronger than Austria.

Austria has no chance whatsoever so it has to be Switzerland. They proved strong over recent years and this group is much tighter than we all seem to think. Turkey are no mugs and always a threat. Portugal has clearly the strongest team, especially up front. Czechs on the other hand are terrible and has been since nedved is gone. If you're looking for upsets this group looks the best. Portugal should get 4 points easily so they're qualified already , but the rest is wide open. No result here will be surprising. The table according to teams' strength should look like this imho:1. Portugal 2. Switzerland 3. Czechs & Turkey | |

| Slightly different for me guys. Think the swiss will advance from this group in 2nd with Portugal topping and the Czech's in 3rd. The swiss looked ok in the world cup and have a couple of quality players like barnetta and the arsenal pairing at the back. The Czech's without rosicky and nedved hhmmmm.......... |

| I fancy Switzerland to do well in this tournament and they are one of my value outsiders. I am going against the swing of things here and say The Czechs and Swiss to qualify with Portugal to face an early exit. |

| Portugal had a great team before, but now they are better i think. With Ronaldo, they can beat everyone. They play excellent football and will be suprise if they wont go till the semi finals on this euro. The hart say that on the second position will Czechs, but the Turkey had also a good team, and there are Swiss who play in their country. Anything can happen here. |

| 1st Portugal 2nd Turkey 3rd Czech Rep 4th Switzerland Portugal should progress further but one slight concern for me is the fact that they drew 6 games in qualifying. Turkey will be underestimated thereby earning them some valuable points. Czechs will be fighting over 2nd place with Turkey - the key game should be the H2H with Turkey Don't think Switzerland will get the better of any of the other 3 teams, even with them having home advantage (maybe 3 draws). |

| Looks like a tight group this, fancy Portugal and Switzerland to progress at the moment, Switzerland are a good team and as documented the host team always does well and I don't think Austria have enough quality to the Swiss could nick second here. |

| Really excited about the start of this tournament, already got me funds set up for it ![]() Anyway onto this group, IMO I cant see past Portugal qualifying from it, looking at thier team they have some solid players along with some outstanding players on their day.....I really cant see them not gaining 4 points at least. Agree with most that second place will be a hottly contested one. I think Czech Rep may have the best chance to qualify, my home nation Scotland plays them on Friday in a freindly in Prague so by looking at this hopefully I will have a better opinion of their chances. Turks and the Switz home nation both have the potential to qualify as well, its gony be tight.
