| All the final group games so far have been under so i am doubling up my stakes on over for this both these last group games. Also had a fiver on over 3.5 & correct score 2-2. Did you know that 2-2 hasnt been a correct score at the tournament yet? Good Luck all! ![]() Spain will field their squad players in the main & Greece have nothing to lose & hopefully play with a bit of pride as the holders & for their fans, lets hope for an open game! ![]()

| Greece haven't looked like scoring yet and that's when they needed to against Sweden and Russia. Will they really score against Spain?

| Greece-Spain over 2,5 Greeks will play normal football for the first time and they will try to score some goal. Spain reserves will play offensive football and I am sure that that match is over goals. As you see, best odds for over are on Betfair. |

| My memory is fuzzy here but wasn't spain in a similar situation during the last world cup? They were through, rested the team for the final group game, and them promptly got dumped out by france in the final 16. I would expect Spain to have learnt it's lesson last time and try and keep the winning momentum but I hear talk of 10 members changing? This game is a no bet for me. No reason to think the reserves cant win but who knows? Perhaps the goal line market offers some value but not the win market. Certainly if they DO field the reserves today then a bet on Italy to beat them next might be interesting. Betting on history to repeat, all be it with Italy repleacing France by virtue of Italy THUMPING France 2-0 ![]() |

| Spain -1.5 This is a meaningless game as both teams having nothing left to play for, as Spain finish top of thier group while Greece are out of the tournament. Spain will be missing quite a few of their regular players as they will be rested while Greece will be without several players due to injuries and some of their fringe and younge players will get a run in this game. But when you see the quality that comes into the Spanish side it is hard not to see an easy victory here. Fabregas and Alonso are the likely pairing in the midfield and while Villa and Torres are expected to be rested, in their place comes Guiza, who topped the Primera Liga scoring charts with 27 goals last season, will lead the attack alongside Sergio Garcia. For Greece, defenders Seitaridis and Torosidis are out, striker Gekas has a fractured cheekbone and midfielder Karagounis is doubtful. Seeing both Croatia and Holland rest their players and their second string side come out and win their meaningless games, as the bench want to show that they are good enough for a spot in the subsequent matches. These Spanish players will have more incentive to play well and win this game as well as have the obvious class difference to do so |

| Greece v Spain Only Portugal have failed to win their final group match out of all the teams that had secured qualification by the end of the second round of group matches. But they can be forgiven as the outcome of the other match in their group did not depend on the outcome of theirs. Croatia & Netherlands maintained the integrity of the competition, even though they had rested a few of their first eleven players, by coming out and maintain the level of football they played in earlier rounds. The match tonight between Spain and Greece have the similar air to the Portugal and Switzerland match, in a sense that both teams do not have anything to play for. The Spaniards are guaranteed to step into the quarterfinals as Group D winners, thanks to their dramatic win over the Swedes. For the ousted defending champions, it is merely a game for which they would want to get back some pride & of course, to score one goal. The Greeks are the only team that have not scored a goal in this tournament. Injuries to the Greeks will force them to make some changes and it means that both teams are not at their 100%, since, as expected, Spain will rest key players ahead of their quarterfinal match against Italy. How this match fares out is anybody's guess. Spain do not have the solidity & depth in talent & class like the Dutch, and there is not much to expect from their bench players. However, the Spaniards do have Cesc Fabregas and Xavi Alonso to pull the strings in midfield tonight and may play to impress in order to get a shot at a starting place in the quarterfinal. A lacklustre display by Xabi in their 2 - 1 over the Swedes may encourage the fringe players to push for a place and tonight's match can provide them the platform. The match will see the Greeks go on the offensive to get a goal and the Spaniards would be more than happy to keep it tight, relying more on counter-attacks to create goal-scoring opportunities. If Fabregas does start tonight, then his runs into the box may result in the opening goal for the Spaniards. Dani Guiza, a potential replacement for Fernando Torres upfront tonight could find his name on the score sheet as well. The Spaniards have looked menacing going forward but their finishing have not complement their build up. However, they ought to get an odd goal or two and it is hard to see anything but a Spanish win. Expect an uneventful match in which the Greeks get their first and only goal of the tournament. Spain -0.75 is a bargain Fabregas 1st goalscorer @ 10

| Rehhagel got the best of the squad in the qualifications; the squad is old and they lack the warrior spirit from 2004. This is the chance for the fans to say goodbye to the legendary keeper Nikopolidis who is retiring. There were some doubts that German coach will pay for the early elimination but Association confirmed that Rehhagel will stay till the end of his contract, that is to say till 2010. The general impression is that Greece don’t have the quality and that they have tried to sell old tricks which didn’t work against Sweden. Second game against Russia saw them playing a bit better but when you don’t materialize your chances, there is no hope for a positive result. Greece played weak in this championship but it is not a rare case to see some squads play better when they don’t have the pressure. They will certainly make an effort to win at least a point so they can rejoice their fans at least in the end. Without Torres and Villa, Spain could have a problem in overcoming Nikopolidis. This looks like a draw. ![]() Tradition: TOTAL OF 9 GAMES – 6 Spain wins, 2 draws, 1 Greece wins 4 GAMES IN GREECE – 1 draw, 3 Spain wins 4 GAMES IN SPAIN – 3 Spain wins, 1 Greece win EURO 2004 - Greece vs. Spain 1:1 ![]()

| Not a game I will be heavily involved in. With a totally different Spanish team it could go either way for a result, somewhat like the Swiss v Port game. Going for two Anytime Goalscorers - Fabregas 7/2 & Alonso 13/2 PP
