| Italy coach has dilemma about whether to field Camoranesi who hasn’t showed anything or Di Natale who was on the bench against Romania. Donadoni, himself seems clueless and without any notion about what he should do at the moment. The nation is a bit hysterical because of the referee decisions, they are even pressuring Van Basten now because of the fact that he will probably rest the key players against Romania. France boss still hasn’t found the best line-up, so he makes combinations in panic announcing a new revolution for the duel against Italy. The question is if the coach will have the courage to take some drastic measures for this game. Some trainings indicate that he is thinking about giving a chance to Diara instead of tired and uninspired right winger Sagnol and also about pushing Abidal from the left side to the midfield instead of Thuram. I get the impression that Les Blues, have no player except Ribery, capable of taking responsibility. If Pirlo really stays on the bench and Donadoni fields De Rossi, Gattuso and Ambrosini than it is clear that we will see a chess game where each side will wait for the rivals' mistake. | Obviously there is alot at stake so i think the game will be pretty nip & tuck for the first 30mins or so. After that i can see the game opening up & i can see a few goals scored. I am on over 2.5 @ 2.2BF, also i have backed correct scores 1-1 & desmond (2-2) @ 8 & 23 respectively. Also on HT Draw FT Italy & France @ 5 @ 7 respectively. Good Luck, lets hope for a good game! ![]()

| France-Italy OVER It is very important match. In my opinion, if Italians win that match then they will win championship in case god help them in match Holland-Romania. Because of this importance I think it will be under 2,5 goals with very bad game to watch. |

If you back over 2.5 goals, after half hour, then the odds are bound to be a lot better and give you more value.

| Think Italy might grind out a win here, surely its only a matter of time before the strikers start firing, it may have come too late if Romania win though. Hope Del Piero starts, he looks the most likely to take a chance if it falls to him in the box, hopefully Pirlo's delivery from set-pieces will improve, it was shocking in the game vs Romania, As for France, still think they need to find the right combination in attack, Benzema, Anelka and Gomis have all flopped and Henry has not been at his majestic best, Ribery will need to be at the top of his game if france are topple the World Champions, dont have any faith in Malouda or Govou to unlock the Italian defence. Italy WIN @ 11/8 |

| I am actually in favor of both teams to score...expecting a 1-1 draw or a 3-2 French win. Looks most likely to be Draw/Draw for HT/FT, as in the Euro 2000 final, both teams scored in the 2nd half while recently in the WC finals, it was 1-1 at halftime. I am also looking at Draw/France. Havent decided on any yet, though...

| Over 3.5 Both teams know that they must win this game as one of them will deinately be knocked out of the tournament while the other may go on, depending on the other game being played. What should happen is that this becomes a very open and attack oriented game. Irrespective which side scores , the other team will og out to equalise thus creating more holes in the defence and more scoring chances. Even if the other team equalises they will continue to attack as they need to get the win. Both teams have players who have underpformed in this torunament but have the class to make somethign happen, so look for both sets of team to lift and make this into a goal scoring feast |

| Italy -v- France June 17 1945 BST The Euro 2008 fate of World Cup finalists, Italy and France, is out of their hands ahead of the final Group C fixtures. A victory for Romania will send them both out, irrespective of the result, so they must hope Holland hold form. A draw is unlikely to good enough, given both sides heavy defeat to the Dutch, so both teams must go for the win, ensuring a cracking game. Neither the French or Italians have produced their best form, and on the night it could well be the side that enjoys a bit of luck that progress, in a World Cup final re-run. Recent France form: 13/06/2008 Holland 4 - 1 France 09/06/2008 Romania 0 - 0 France Recent Italy form: 13/06/2008 Romania 1 - 1 Italy 09/06/2008 Holland 3 - 0 Italy Key Match Facts: Italy have only kept 1 clean sheet in their last 6 competitive games. In this fixture Italy have won 17 games, twice as many as France with 8 These 2 were in the same qualification group and despite Italy finishing on top France were unbeaten in the 2 H2H's. | These two sides have been the biggest flops of the tournament and both deserve to be sent home packing. France were dire against Romania, they showed no desire and only Franck Ribery played like he cared. Benzema was diabolical and that Gomis fella looked like he wasn't even a footballer. Against Holland, France should have perhaps done a little better, they certainly improved with Henry back in their side. However, their defence did not look solid at all. I have found it quite funny watching the Italians hit self destruct. They were totally outclassed against the Dutch and played like an under 10's girls team. Their defence still looked shaky against Romania though and Mutu punished them with his goal. It could have been even worse for the Italians had Mutu not missed that penalty. Donadoni's men did dominate the start of the game though and with inform strikers should have put the game to bed by half time. Two poor sides, I hope both get eliminated, but im on the draw here. |

| I don't know what to think in this match to be honest! You could make a case for all the results, which obviously makes things betting wise, a bit difficult. However, if there is one team that always seems to get the result when needed the most, you would have to say it is Italy. |

The Dutch scored when the Italians played the trap unfortunately Panucci was knocked ot of bounds. Then the Dutch hit on a great counter after clearing off the line. Both teams haven't been good but they are far from piss poor. Perhaps 3 of the best teams in one group while the two worst sides (Poland & Austria) get placed together. |

| First goal 0 - 10 minutes @ 6.8 - Lay Will start off very cagey and I cant see too many opportunies opening up in the first 25 odd minutes. Following on from that, Half with most goals - 2nd half @ 2.12 is also tempting. |

| Hello, Time to Heart and Faith bet (you know, that wich never works.. )Don't bury French Team too quickly, as Italians, they have many reasons and have means to do it. Match can go in either way. Hope we won't see Italians, twisting pain on the ground and failing in the worst sufferings, in short in their usual play... Sorry and Apologize for useless comment, of course ! ![]() Pick : France -1 @ 7.00 (Stan James) Last edited by Gandalf; 17-06-2008 at 20:46. |
