Well done, Chief!

As for the sitout chip-dumping thing - wtf is this league coming to?? Is it not bad enough to have all the sitouts in the first place, without players resorting to these kinda ridiculous tactics, to maybe gain a couple of extra points? How ******* desperate are you, guys?? Geez.

cheers guys and slick mick was the one with all the sitouts to himself so we all hit f/t way behind him.....so overall very pleasing.
i for one dont agree with their tactics and find it very underhand, but that is my personal opinion..

Surely the objective is to play your cards in the best way possible to maximise points for your team If folding gets you the most points, that should be your action. If calling then folding gets you most points, that should be your action?

i admit it was very bully-like behavior towards the other non sitouts but isnt bullying what this game is all about?

if you were to take this argument a step further consider this scenario, you are on a final table and one of the players is a total donk, you will be much happier losing chips to him than you would be against the others. every player on a table is different and thats what gives you an edge, is knowing how to play against all your opponents, in this situation i bullied the competitors and helped the weak players to maximise my own chances of winning. The only reason it becomes an issue is because players that werent sitouts were hoping to just play tight and hope that the sitouts slowly get eliminated so they can score higher points.

I think it's a clever strategy from reshah to be fair, once he's got that big stack

actually bill i was on a table with 8 sitouts and i elimated the other player quite quickly so i just pressed F3 over and over again for about 20mins and took all their chips!

Sure. But there are some things you just don't do. I mean, kicking someone in the balls and taking his wallet is a good way to get a little extra money. But it's not exactly appreciated. I'm putting this on about the same level...

Default How far is it fair to go with Sit Outs?

Ok - I'm quite amazed by the controvesy this has caused - when I was last to act against sit outs and folded, I really didn't for a second consider it could be unreasonble, unsporting, unethical, or at worst downright cheating (chip dumping) - I just though I was playing my cards in a way that maximised my team points - so I'm interested in a snapshot of opinion on PL

So the basic question (and I'm going for what was considered the "worst" example tonight): If an active player calls, everyone else folds except the sit out on the Big blind, what do you think if the active player folds post flop to allow the sit out to win the hand?

1) Legitimate Tactic?
2) Within the rules, but unsporting
3) Outside the rules

There's a number of Sub discussions going on in various threads - I think it's worth moving the discussion here so that it's all in one place (Indded I think I'll move all the posts on it to this thread )

The way I've set the poll up too - for whether we should be doing it or not - I suggest we add together the 2nd and third answers to not do it, and just the "legitimate tactic" means it's acceptable..... I did want to seperate views though on unsporting/cheating in the poll to see what people thought....

The intent is not to move these teams up but rather to improve his teams position and thereby increasng his owns teams payout.

Ok it was me that started the conversation

I dont have an issue if you dont bet and let a sit out win, although i would not

But when you are calling the sitout and then letting him basically have free chips then surely that is dumping and in the scenario tonight he had about 17K in chips so nobody was going to call when everyone else had about 1K

To me its dumping

PS Did i say dumping

Agree with this. Very interesting strategy (also risky to himself as losing chips) and think he's controlled the table very well by doing this.

Legitimate strategy - as it's a points game - but I can understand the guys being pissed at being outplayed
