Just saw this on the esport site.....

Quote:
Due to technical problems on the PokerRoom software the 5th match day of the eSport-Poker Champions League was cancelled. We apologize for not releasing any news earlier.
That was last week right? How come it took them 2 months to make an announcement about HU matchday 8

When does the next league start btw?

What you should remember is beating vic3485 in matchday 17 then him ignoring esports attempts at contact and refusing to play the match against me. If I had beaten him, you would both be on the same points and you won the H2H. So that's costing you $100, but esport don't care

Good point. I think vic3485 is the poorer off out of the two of us, I've lost $100, he has lost his integrity.

Surely if the other guy wont play the cancelled match, then he forfeits the tie?

No if the winner refuses to replay the match then the result stands. Crazy isn't it?

Oh and the email they sent out about it

Quote:
To eSport-Poker UK Heads-Up Players

It has come to our attention that in match-day 13 there were some logging in problems on Pokerroom and many of you were unable to play your heads-up matches. Points were awarded by Pokerroom as usual so from our end it seemed that the match-day had been played as normal. We now realise that this was not the case. We suggest that you contact your opponent using the eSport-poker.com website messaging service and arrange a private heads up game for $1 which is the lowest stake available and take a screenshot of the result and we will add it to the official results.

Because the points that were awarded were in error, you should arrange your private Heads-Up match before the 20th June. If you do not rearrange the game then the results currently published on our website will stand.

In the interest of fair play we ask that all players accept the heads up challenge of their opponents. We wish you all the best!

Richard
eSport-Poker.com Team
Was only sent out to the players who didn't register for that matchday. So the people who won the games that week have no idea what's going on unless they read it on a forum like this

I can understand why he wouldnt replay the match then - what's his incentive to do so? Against an unknown, I probably wouldnt replay it either

It's not his fault for not doing something to his detriment, it's the fault of eSport (again) for the way they've dealt with it (I say that without really knowing most of the details - just from what's been said in the last few posts)

Well it is his fault for acting all naive to Dave last night and saying to email him - he's been emailed twice unless esport are lying. He wouldn't have got the email about the match so he doesn't know that he can ignore and just get the win. Unless he read the email Dodger posted up on here and the stuff I've posted about it. Last night he did tell Dave that he lurked on here

Anyway I've given up on it. Moving on to trying to get paid

Another eSport fastball for all you HU league qualifiers. They appear to have changed all the play-off dates.

Just got this off of the website.

Found the games ...but it looks like each game has three seperate games...19.00, 19.30 and 20.00 starts!

The eSport-Poker HeadsUp playoffs

The eSport-Poker league is approaching it’s hottest phase – the HeadsUp playoffs are just about to start. 32 players from Germany, England and France have qualified and will now fight in a European wide contest, who will be the best eSport-Poker singleplayer.

Since the HeadsUp open league has not been played yet, the numbers of players per country has been increased to a total of 10 players per country, plus the two players that scored best from all three countries. For England and Germany there are now 11 players participating, for France 10.

There will be an overall of five playoff rounds, starting with the round of 32, followed by the round of sixteen, the quarter final, half final and final. In every round every participant will have to play three matches that will be held in the “best of 3” mode. The player that is able to win two of the three matches will succeed to the next playoff round. Matches start at 7:00 p.m. 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. each match day. Password for all players and tables will be sent out previously via e-mail.
