Well played everyone.

Let's assume it's going to be a 6pm start again, so who is available Wednesday?

I probably can manage this week, but will normally be a bit early for me, and definitely not OK the next 2 Weds after that. I think I'm out for the next 2 Sundays too at that time.

When I get a minute (maybe not tonight) I'll do a spreadsheet to put in post 1 so we can keep track of who's played when/result and who's available. etc

I'm a definate NO for Wednesday, on nights

Next Sunday a possible but at Newcastle for the weekend so may not be in much of a fit state, if others are available may be better to go with them

Should be free for the next 3 or 4 games after that

I've checked my availability for the 20 games left in the league. The dates on which I can't play are:

March 26th
April 2nd
April 27th
May 14th
May 18th

If everybody else can also check on when they are not available then it will make our captain's task a little easier.

Lastly, it may be that for some games we have less than 5 players available to play. Mrs_ColU didn't want to make the commitment necessary to join this league, however, I'm sure I could persuade her to play the odd game for someone else if necessary. This would mean that person having to trust her with their PokerRoom user id and password. Is this permissable? I'm posting this in the open so that GaF and others can see what I'm proposing. Obviously, if it is agreed that we can do this then it is also OK for every other team to do so as well.

If it's 6pm starts throughout, then I won't be able to play on Wednesday's. I don't get home from work until half 6.

I'd have no problem letting someone else use my account though.

I know I'm not available on Sunday 13th April (as with alot I expect). This coming Sunday and the 29th March I could be put down if needed, but I'm playing darts those days, and if I manage to get past the first couple of rounds (which is a rare thing these days) then it would be tight me getting back in time if they are at 6pm.

OK it's 8pm start on Wednesday.

I'm available if needed cap'n, but equally happy to be 'squad-rotated' for this one in true Rafa Benitez stylee!

Hopefully I can manage Wednesday if it's 8pm.....don't think I can make a 6pm Wed start due to taxiing one of the kids to Football training! I should be able to confirm by tomorrow night.

I can manage every Sunday for the forseeable future with the exception of 20th April as I'm away for a couple of drunken days....even then, I'll probably be around but would be struggling to understand what buttons to hit!

Looks like a solid start yesterday...well done all.

I'm afraid it has to be a definite "no" mate

First off, it will be against the rules of the site - you cannot ever legitimately play on someone elses ID - though in reality if you live in the same house, no way to prove it either way (unless you post on an open forum )

However, it shouldn't be necessary either - not sure exactly how many in your team, but there shouldn't be many weeks when you cannot field 5 players are there? (Maybe struggling for Newastle meet up weekends, but other than that....)

Fair enough GaF. I will abide by what you say.

I've had a go at a table to keep track of our points and when we are available. Will see whether this works, but if not we can try a 'poll' option instead. Will keep it up to date in Post 1.

Hopefully got everyone's availability as posted so far. Y or n for definites, ? for 'available only if needed'. Obviously I don't expect everyone to give availability now for the duration, but if possible can you say for the next couple of weeks.

If my understanding is correct, there is an individual prize in this as well as team? Therefore I think to be fair we should try to give everyone an equal number of games, rather than automatically keeping someone in the team just because they are scoring well. What do you think?

If there are any weeks where we are short of numbers, I don't think we need to be afraid of putting in a sit out or somone who might arrive late. With the new points structure (and going by game 1) a sit out is likely to score points.

So if available, GazB, TQM and PnB in for Weds. OK? Looking to get the team agreed on and registered Tues night so post up any more availability.

You are the captain. You are putting in the time and effort to organise the team. I am content with whatever decision you come to regarding team selection.

If I ever become incontent with your decisions I will either:

1. volunteer to take over the captaincy, or

2. shut up.

What I won't ever do is whinge. I've been a member of too many clubs where 10% of the membership do all the hard work of organising and running the club and 80% of the membership moan and groan and never lift a finger to help.
