I use TVANTS, and Sopcast! You will be able to watch all the sports if you have them downloaded
How is watching Live football possible?

There are still more then a few countries around the world where PPV has not yet been established, and football is televised for free. Broadcasts of some of the TV stations in these countries are available via video streams on the internet.
How good is the Quality of the live streams?

The quality depends on the rate at which video streams are transmitted. This quality is measured by the same units measuring how broad you internet connection is: Kb/Sec. Most streams are transmitted at a quality of between 100Kb/Sec and 400 Kb/sec, so if your connection is somewhere around 750Kbs there is no need to rush off and pay for a broader connection package. 400Kb/sec is more or less the rate at which it is possible to watch the video stream on a full screen in reasonable quality. For quality lesser than that, the size of the media player's window has to be reduced.
Sounds too good to be true!

While this method might be a good alternative to the good old TV set, there are still some problems associated with it. Millions of people around the world are trying to connect to the servers broadcasting the streams, just as you are. These servers are not designed to support such a large number of users, so the load on them in imense. The number of users each of those servers can support is limited, and sometimes even if you manage to connect to one, the high traffic might impair its functionality, in some cases causing it to crash.

The first thing that has to be done in order for this application to work is to set at least one server on top of the default tvants.com server. Figure 1 shows the servers window that can be accessed by pressing the 'Servers' tab (Figure 1.1):

Using the 'Add' and 'Delete' buttons at the bottom (Figures 1.2, 1.3) you can modify the servers list (Figure 2). (Figure 2).fanshoptv.no-ip.info is one server that has worked well for us.

Now that you are connected to a server clicking on the 'Search' tab (Figure 3.1) should take you to search window where you should see a list of channels (Figure 3). Double click on any of them to run the channel.

The Tvants application also has an internal search engine. You can look for a certain channel by typing its name and clicking the 'Search TV' button (Figure 4).

Once a channel has been chosen it will be added to your personal channels list. You can get to that list by clicking the 'Channels' tab (Figure 5).

Added channels will not be deleted once TVAnts is shut down. They will remain in the list until deleted using the 'Delete' button.
TVants has its own stand alone Player (Figure 5). When you double click a channel the application will launch the player in a new window in which the chosen channel will be played.

Another useful way to find channels is to use the channels list available on the TVAnts website. Click on the 'Play' button (Figure 7) and the application will launch that channel.

Sopcast

Sopcast Latest version: Sopcast 0.6
Version reported to be working the best: Sopcast 0.5
Sopcast is a fairly simple to use program. Once run all the channels appear in one window (Figure 1).

Double Clicking on one of them will display that channel in windows media player after connection has been established (and possibly a few minutes of preliminal buffering).

if you type in fsi to google you will find a link to football streaming info (or something like that - it explains everything on there and even gives a little more info on links etc
