Default Peru - Bolivia

Peru will be the host country for this year Copa America. They are in a group which consist of some of the weakest South America teams, Bolivia, Venezuela and the erratic Colombia. I rate Peru as a much better team than Bolivia and Venezuela.

In the World Cup Qualifiers, Peru won Paraguay 4-1 at home , lost Chile 2-1 away, draw Brazil 1-1 at home and Ecuador 0-0 away, lost Colombia 0-2 at home, won Uruguay 1-3 away and draw Venezuela 0-0 at home. (WLDDLWD) At home, Peru form reads WDLD.

Bolivia lost Uruguay 5-0 away, won Colombia 4-0 at home, lost Argentina 3-0 away, lost Venezuela 2-1 away, lost Chile 0-2 at home, won Paraguay 2-1 at home and lost Ecuador 3-2 away. (LWLLLWL). Away, Bolivia form reads LLLL.

Bolivia played very bad in away games, losing all 4 of their away games, conceding 13 goals and scored only 3. Furthermore, they will be missing 5 1st team players (capitain Julio César Baldivieso, Oscar Carmelo Sánchez, defender Juan Manuel Peña, Luis Gatty Riberio and striker José Alfredo Castillo. Good players Erwin "Platini" Sanchez and Marco Etxeverry had already retired from international soccer.

This will be a good chance for Peru, as the host to get 3 points in their 1st game. They had many good players playing in European clubs. [Pizarro (Bayer Munich), Norberto Solano (Aston Villa), Rebosio (Zaragoza), Mendoza (Brugge)]

I see Peru as too strong for a weak travelling Bolivia deprived of many 1st team players and they should get a good win.
