I'll probably regret it. First proper tip here from me in the PL and I pick a not particularly appetising odds-on shot. What odds did I get? A piffling 11/20 but some of my money's stuck at Intertops so there you go.

Default Cyprus-Slovenia

Rumlesen, I can assure you that Cyprus has many regular players missing.
Konstatinou, Satsias, Raufman, Theodotou, probably Okkas...
However Slovenia is not in a need for a win. But that is another case! 8)

Upset pick:

Bosnia over Denmark.

The Bosnian squad looks ready, they are on a good roll. The chemistry is coming together finally, the team has always been good but now they are coming together and makign it work.
The win would put them directly into Portugal. They beat the Danes in Denmark 2-0.

The manager of Bosnia says the players look in good shape and ready to go, and he thinks they will beat Denmark.
I don't know!Denmark is a much experienced team in these kind of matches. If I'm not wrong,Denmark has eliminated France in WC2002 last year! That match was a very important for France, but they haven't been able to make a good result.I agree that Bosnia has a good players, like Barbarez,Hibic,Bolic,Baljic,Salihamidzic,Bajramovi c,...,but this duel will not be the same like first at all.Don't be surprised if Denmark score early goal here.

Default BULGARIA - A STEAL?

I'm not sure if anyone's noticed this, but the bet of the round for me has certainly got to be Bulgaria. Despite having already comfortably won the group(W5D2 so far), they're priced at a massive 7.00(at Betfair) to beat Croatia. :b
Now, much as I know Croatia need to win this(as Belgium would most probably beat Estonia) to secure a playoff spot and the fact that Bulgaria have already qualified would play a part in the minds of most backers, I still can't believe Bulgaria are so massively overpriced when they've selected their strongest squad possible.
Maybe for the more conservative, Bulgaria +1 is still available at 2.12(Betfair).

Perhaps this just sums it best(quoted from soccernet) :

Croatia, seeking a victory to clinch a playoff berth, will
be without suspended defenders Stjepan Tomas and Josip Simunic, and midfielder Niko Kovac. Central defender Igor Tudor of Juventus, still recovering from injury, will probably sit out the match.

Another problem for coach Otto Baric is the lack of match fitness of two key wingers, Milan Rapaic on the left and Darijo Srna on the right. Rapaic has been without a club this season while Srna is not a regular at Ukrainian side Shakhtar.

Fit-again Monaco striker Dado Prso will lead the attack, assisted by pacey Ivica Olic, who has displayed great form at his new side CSKA Moscow, but has been erratic in the national side.

Liverpool midfieder Igor Biscan may also be included after two years out.

Bulgaria, who have already qualified, have nevertheless vowed to go full out for a victory.

"I know that this match will be the last chance for our opponents but we do not intend to turn into a charity game," Bulgaria coach Plamen Markov said.

To prove he was as good as his word, Markov has picked his strongest possible side, saying it was not the right time for experiments. Two regulars will miss the qualifier -- forward Martin Petrov and defender Ilian Stoyanov.

Probable teams:

Croatia: Stipe Pletikosa, Dario Simic (or Igor Biscan), Robert Kovac, Boris Zivkovic, Jurica Vranjes, Giovani Rosso, Marko Babic, Jerko Leko, Milan Rapaic, Dado Prso, Ivica Olic

Bulgaria: Zdravko Zdravkov; Rossen Kirilov, Predrag Pazhin, Ivailo Petkov, Nikolai Krstev, Daniel Borimirov, Stilian Petrov, Marian Hristov, Velizar Dimitrov, Georgi Peev, Dimitar Berbatov

Referee: Gilles Veissiere (France)

I should think the whole of Europe will breathe sighs of relief that Norway won't be in Portugal next year.
The way they crushed Luxembourg was quite frightening and had they timed their run a little better they might have been there to wreak havoc among the big boys.
We'll never know now.

First time in Englands favour and today in Latvias.
They missed penalty and couldnt win against 10 from 73minute. It sucks >: >: >:

Default Second biggest win tonight!!!!!!!!!!!

First time ive tried such a bet today as mentioned above.
10 x trebles from five selections and ive only gone and bloody won!

Scotland, Greece and Serbia 7/2, 11/2 and 13/2 respectivley have turned a total outlay of £5 into £109 unless my maths is sh!t.

I am absolutley over the moon as ive been on a sh!t run for ages.

I think ive finally learnt to keep stakes low and persevere:hat
