Default england v portugal

I predict there will be a result, possibly a win for either team, or even a draw.

Portugal defeated England about 2 months back on English soil so anything around 7/4 (I aint seen the odds yet) looks good.

They have two cracking players in Candido Costa and Helder Postiga, both stars of the future

Stan Boardman actually

OK- Portugal HAVE to win to have a chance of going through, I reckon they'll be going for it. I'll go for a tight Portugal win.

top 2 go through i think (?),

Italy are top with 4 points, then England and Switzerland on 3, Portugal are bottom with 1.

If Italy beat the Swiss and england get a point off Portugal, England go through.

Bet365 odds:

Italy win @ 1.72

Portugal win @ 2.75
draw @ 3.25

tempted to stick with the Eng v Portugal game on those odds..

Default Shame on Italy & Switzerland

What a disgrace the Italy - Switzerland game was. From what I've heard the last 10 minutes or so was just pure farce with both sides passing the ball around with the opposition making no attempt to win the ball. Both sides knew a draw would be enough to get them through when we were beating England 3-1 and I'm sure the Italians would of been happy to see us crash out.

Its about time UEFA scrapped this f'ing 'result between the 2 sides' cr*p and brought back good old goal difference to seperate sides. I'll be cheering for France & the Czech's in the semi's...

Look out for Hugo Viana in the World Cup. The British press might not of picked up on it but Viana will be going to the World Cup to replace Daniel Kenedy who was axed for doping.

Default Same Old Ities, Always Cheating

Was impressed with the big black lad up front tonight and I dont mean Defoe. Makalula is it? Made the English lads @#%$ themselves everytime he went near them. Built like Ordinary Harrison only actually quite hard.

Portugal looked classy up front and the Who Dat did look a handfull up front saying that he did at times look a bit cumbersome.
Roll on 2nd,7th,12th June.

Just realised what the F could stand for in the group

Always a pleasure seeing England get beat, how come when England play someone with far more technical ability, they just haven't got a clue.

Roll on the World Cup.

Yeah Makukula is a handful I was hoping Porto would sign him but sadly Nantes got his signature. He's been a sensation in Spanish 2nd Division with Santander and only recently registered as a Portugal national as he was born in Guinea-Bissau (great world football pedigree ). He could be pretty useful in the Premiership one day. If he shines in France next season who knows....

Hey Taco how do you rate Portugals chances in the world cup as i think they might get to the final with a little bit luck.
