Dont know about Paraguay but this is the Argies line up:

Abbondanzieri, Hugo Ibarra, Nicolás Burdisso, Daniel Díaz, Zanetti, Luis González, Fernando Gago, Cambiasso, Pablo Aimar; Carlos Tevez and Rodrigo Palacio.

Decent side, but I fancy a draw. They are resting a few and would certainly be happy with a point. Paraguay are a decent side, and are hard to break down. I fancy a draw, possibly 1-1, and would recommend covering this scoreline if you are going big on the 'overs'.

I also fancy a draw in the USA Columbia game and have backed the 2-2 scoreline @ 15.0 as well as the draw @ 3.5. Draw double might be worth a play as I can see them both finishing all square.

Argentina and Paraguay will battle tonight for first place of Group C tonight.

After round 2 both teams have 6 points but Paraguay is in first place due to best goal difference: 8-1 Paraguay 8-3 Argentina.

I think Argentina will win and there some facts to help my thinking:

Both teams will play with 2nd lines, to give some rest of players and opportunities to others. But Argentina’s reserve players are much better that Paraguayan players, almost all played in Europe.

Squad tonight:

Abbondanzieri; Ibarra, Burdisso, Díaz and Zanetti; González, Gago, Cambiasso, Aimar; Tévez and Palácio.

The second place of this group will play against Mexico and the 1st against Peru. Mexico is an opponent to avoid in this tournament, of course Argentine is the best squad but it’s better to avoid an outsider team.

Finally the last but not the least factor:

The Second place of Group C will play next game in a city about 1600 miles of tonight’s stadium; instead, the first place will play in a near city.

Fatigue is a crucial factor in a tournament, and avoid to do a long trip can be essential.

All this facts makes that the first place is huge advantage to any team and Argentina had more conditions tonight: expect Argentina to win.

Pick: Argentina to win
Pick: -0.5 & -1 Argentina

So Colombia and USA playing for pride tonight as both are out of the competition without a point till now.
To USA this don't mean that much as they used this tournament to check their youngsters and failure was more or less expected while to Colombia this game is by far more important imo.
Also USA team plays not bad but they are too unexperienced in this squad to obtain positive result.
I cannot imagine them winning therefore I will LAY awaywin, betfair @3.3. 4/10. GL~

Copa America:

Argentina under 2.5

Top two teams are playing but it seems Argentina doesn't really care as both have qualified for the next round. They have listed pretty much a second string side to avoid injuries, so don't expect their usual attacking game to result in many goals. The last 4 games between these two teams have gone under, and the last couple have eneded in draws.

Under 20's World Cup:

Chile
Chile won impressively against Canada 3-0 while Congo managed a 1-1 draw with Austria. Both games showed that Chile have a distinctive edge in quality, and they should be too skillful for the Africans

Not really on time to pick Argentina but still even at these odds I will do it.
It's quite simple really, they are the best team with best players playing best soccer.
Crespo got injured OK, but what about others? Riquelme, Veron, Messi and all others are there to do the job and bring the trophy in their country.
Brasil is far from their golden days and I don't see them stoping Argentina. The only real test for them will be in semis with tricky Mexico or Paraguay.
But for me it's Argentina all the way, Interwetten@2.00. GL~

Anybody like Uruguay DNB at even money tomorrow over Venezuela? I expected a line favoring Uruguay...I am expecting the hosts to fall back to earth after winning their group, and would think Uruguay might be due for a better performance than they've shown so far. And the game they just played, 0-0 when both were happy to draw, showed nothing.

Or am I talking myself into something?

Reccomended Bet: Venezuela Draw No Bet @ 1.95 Sportingodds 3/10

Right onto the quarter finals then and I think Venezuela will win this one against Uruguay. These 2 have already met of course in the group stages just a few days ago and that fixture ended 0-0. But that was a result that suited both of them nicely and I don’t think it was perhaps played properly in many ways. Venezuela have looked poor at times during this tournament, but they are roared on by home fans and that’s a factor not to be underestimated. I just sense that they are getting gradually better and this is a great chance to make it as far as the semis. Uruguay in all reality have been pretty awful so far and have scored just one goal in the whole competition. I really haven’t been impressed with them one bit and I think they will struggle tonight. Bookies have the 2 teams pretty evenly matched but I think Venezuela deserve to be favourites here. Sportingodds still offer 1.95 on the DNB line and I think this is worth taking 3/10

Reccomended Bet: Brazil -1.25 AH @ 1.90 Canbet 3/10

Lets be honest, Brazil have been really poor in this competition so far and things can surely only get better for the samba boys. Against Ecuador the other night they somehow won 1-0 although arguably didn’t deserve victory in that encounter. One thing Brazil always do look though is dangerous when going forward. Wagner Love hasn’t been as clinical as he would’ve liked upfront but I’m sure he will hit the back of the net soon. Brazil are quite capable of scoring a goal from anywhere and they will be very pleased with this draw against Chile. The 2 sides have of course already met in the group stages and Brazil won 3-0 that night. Again it wasn’t a convincing performance but they got what they wanted and they should be able to do that again tonight. Chile I still don’t rate much as a team and effectively made it through to the quarter finals thanks to a lucky 3-2 win against Ecuador. The draw against Mexico the other night if of virtual no importance as both teams settled for the 0-0. Brazil have much more quality and I think will fire sooner or later. I cant see past them winning this match and it will hopefully be by at least a 2 goal margin. The -1.25 line is @ 1.90 and I think is worth staking 3/10 on.

Good luck with it...I watched the Chile-Ecuador match and it didn't seem that lucky to me. Many teams would have gotten frustrated at about the team Chile equalised late, and many teams would have relaxed once they'd gotten the second goal. They seemed to have gone in for the kill to me...Brazil is favored rightly since they beat Chile fairly easily in the group stages...but I wouldn't be surprised if Chile fight to the end.

they were outplayed for about 80 mins, Ecuador just couldnt take their chances. Chile hardly had a shot in that game, anything they did have on target was hitting the back of the net!!. Performance was terrible IMO and Ecuador should've won let alone lost. Definitely a fortunate win but they are in the QFs and arguably improved in their games against Brazil and Mexico, still not a team I rate much though

Venezuela vs Uruguay

Venezuela will meet Uruguay again in the quarterfinal of Copa America 2007. Their previous encounter resulted in 0-0 draw. However, at that time the circumstances were different to this time. At that time, both team can settle for a draw and every one is happy. But the tide has turned this time and its do or die for both team.

Venezuela is not a team known for its great attacking prowess. While they know Uruguay have few players who can really cause havoc in their defence if they go all out attacking in the first half. So I think both team will approach 1st half with prudent and caution and just try to test the water first before going for the win. And on top of that, Uruguay has not been really impressive in this tournament either. I don't think they want to blow it away too soon in the 1st half by going attacking like mad and risk getting counter attacked.

So under 0.75 goals looks fair enough for me. I really cant see this match produce 2 early goals in the 1st half. At the most is 1 goal and we would only lose half stake. I'm willing to go high stake for this bet. At 2.06 it is a nice odds too.

Another thing that I used to consider this bet was past records at half-time for both teams. Venezuela so far managed to have goaless draw two times out of 3 times they had played. On the other hand, those record holds true too for Uruguay.

Probable Line-Ups for those who might need them:

VENEZUELA: Renny Vega; Héctor González, Alexander Cichero, Jose Manuel Rey, Jorge Rojas; Luis Vera, Miguel Pisses Vitali, Ricardo David Páez, Juan Arango; Giancar it Maldonado and Fernando De Ornelas

URUGUAY: Fabian Carini; Diego Lugano, Andrés Scotti, Darío Rodriguez, Jorge Fucile; Diego Perez, Maximiliano Pereira, Pablo Garci'a, Cristian Rodriguez; Diego Forlán and Vicente Sanchez

Pick: Under 0.75 Goals 1st Half @ 2.06 IASBet/CANBet [ 8/10 ]

Reasoning The game is very important and both teams won't be happy if they lose. They played 3 days ago and finished 0:0. Uruguay scored only 1 goal in the group stage. Venezuela against Uruguay is always a tight match. At home 5 matches and all of them under 2.5. 3 of the 5 are under 1.5 as well. I'll try the 2/1, which looks decent.

I am doing a bit bet on corner currently on bet365. I wonder where I can get the statistical data of each much, say Copa America 200 or any other league team. Is there anybody having experience on corner bet here? It'll be nice if the experience be shared.

ReasoningMexico has 2 wins and a draw from the 3 matches which they played in Copa America this year, and Paraguay has 2 wins and a loss. But both of the draw and the loss didn't matter much for the teams.I think that Paraguay has more famous names like Santa Cruz for an example, but Mexico's team has more class and team chemistry.I think that that the "aztecs" will win, even with the minimal result.

Really big price here IMO and I think Mexico will win. They were one of the best teams in the group stages containing plenty of skill and are capable of scoring a goal from anywhere really. Paraguay on paper might've claimed 2 convincing wins but I still dont rate them that much. They rely a lot on counter attacking football and clinical finishing. Mexico will have most of the ball today and as long as they take their chances they should win. I'd say 2-0 or 3-1 will be the final scoreline here and the 2.08 price on the -0.25 AH line is way too big.
