Germany game to be over 2.5 @ 1.65 on gamebookers is decent
i'll have a crack on that
Germany seem to be shaping up nicely at the moment..home turf and a bit of momentum for them from their previous results..beat N.ireland 4-1 despite havin huth off..ok N.Ire arent great but still
Germans got a 2-2 draw out of russians conceding a last minute goal
so i ca def see them scoring a couple and perhaps conceding one
Ballack anytime @ 2.5 maybe worth a pop

I'll third it and add Brazil ht/ft.
Robinho is 4/1 f.s.g, might be a good idea

After that first one losing I have selected:

3pts Germany (-1.5) vs Australia 2.06 Betfair

Australia are missing quite a few big name players here and this being hosted in Germany should be a huge boost for the home side. Expectation always high and hopefully we will avoid a similar scenario seen at France vs Senegal and Portugal vs Greece opening games.

Germans scoring quite freely too

I wish you luck on these one, after Argetina won by just one goal to Tunisia. I know these Germany team is more mature, the same basis that they play on 1999 Confederations. So I think a 70% of your bet winning.

Germany scrape home 4-3. It doesn't seem long ago when they were awesome and the Aussies were still playing with their possums. Times change!

good night all round i hope
surprised the game was as close as it is
Klinsman hasnt been able to stabilise the defence yet...but they are good going forward i'll give them that..will be very interesting to see how they do in future games and the world cup itself
Aussies got a good result for them imo..will boost their confidence a bit i'd think

Germany is looking like Real Madrid, score a lot of goals ans receive a lot, I think Klinsman needs to tune up the defense in these tournament or for Germany 2006 to be competitive enough to aspire for the CUP.

Got to admit I'm pleasantly surprised with how Klinsmann seems to have harnessed the potential of the German attack around within such a short period considering they had virtually a second-rate attack at the last WC depending on Klose, Jancker and Neuville to spearhead their attack.

There's no doubt Kuranyi, Podolski, Hanke(and Klose for that matter when he returns) will prove far more lethal at next year's World Cup than the lot that finished finalists in 2002 ever did. Having said that, it's pretty alarming to see how far the standard of Kahn has fallen...

Xcout, just two questions for you.

Firstly, are those 4 Chivas player available for Mexico against Japan today? Secondly, how do you rate their chances after considering the strength of the Mexican squad Lavolpe has at his disposal?

Mexico captain Marquez(Barcelona) will miss the game through injury.

edtkh,

I have read that Omar Bravo and Alberto Medina together with midfielder Ramon Morales and goalkeeper Jose Corona will be out for the game. As far as I'm aware Corona is a Chivas player, but I don't know about the other 3.

Why Real Madrid?

38 rounds
1.Barca 73:29
2.Real Madrid 71:32
3.Atl.Madrid 40:34
...
..
.

Nothing's wrong with them.Real Madrid are able to keep the game tight in their own half.On the other hand there are no signs that Germany will improve their performances at the back. Both Hitzlsperger and Schneider are the natural midfielders, not defenders and this example clearly shows that Klinsmann has no idea what he's doing right now.Even their attacking possibilities are very questionable IMO.Yes, they've scoed a lot of goals so far, but we're talking about friendlies. The fact is that most of their forwards, like Lukas Podolski, Mike Hanke or Kuranyi(the guys do have a potential though), are struggling against any serious defense(IMO, Klose is their most useful forward at the moment) and some big changes are necessary if they're to make any success next year.

Yeah, I read that too - only problem seems to be too many contrasting reports going around. Just as when speculation was rife those 4 were available for Chivas against Boca...

Thanks anyway.

First of all, Corona is not a Chiva player, he is playing borrowed there. Then available to play will be Ramon Morales,Alberto Medina and Corona (altough I don't see Lavolpe putting him in any game).

Omar Bravo will not be able to play because getting injured by players of Boca, so he is out of Confederations Cup.

To your second question, well their chances against Japan I will give it a 60%, the problem is that altought Japan problems, one thing will be extra field problems and other playing soccer. Japan is qualified so they can put all in these tournament. And well Mexico is near qualification and in July cames Golden Cup. Mexico strength in the back is a good one with Oswaldo Sanchez GK and in the defense I am doubtful about Aron Galindo, but he was able to do a good against Trinidad and Tobago, not a tough team.

I mean real madrid in the aspect that in some games score many goals and receive many. I know there where games where they win a lot. But my aim here was to focus on defense, because is different a tournament with rounds, that a KO tournament, Germany vs Brazil, with current Germany defense, i will back always Brazil, you all know Brazil attack.

But the defense of Brazil is also a good one, the problem is that they are never know, but always a very high defenses (with exception of R. Carlos, but he is not coming) and very good. Almos always unknow to the world their names. But hell they do their job and that counts. Remember 2002 World Cup Final.

You know the saying: "Offense win games, defense win champioships"

Default Confederations Cup 16/6/2005

BRAZIL to beat Greece , GERMANY to beat Tunisia.
Easy double.

Cheers, Xcout. On that basis, I think this is one best left alone considering the Japanese also have a full squad at their disposal bar Ono.
