4pts Morocco vs Guinea Over 2.25 goals 1.88 Ladbrokes

Morocco battered Namibia 5-1 in the 1st set of matches and even though hattrick hero Soufiane Alloudi is out of this match, I still think they've got goals in them. Particularly against a Guinea side who didn't look watertight at the back in their 2-1 defeat to Ghana. Guinea looked good going forward against Ghana however and could have won the game before the hosts won it late on. Morocco would take a draw but a draw would suit neither side really so I expect both to go and try to win the game. If Morocco score 1st then Guinea would probably need 2 to stay in the competition which may mean they leave themselves open at the back and that could lead to the goals we need. I think there will be 3 goals in this match.

Guinea +0.5 AH @ 1.96 10bet 3/10

Well one of my longer term bets for this tournament is Guinea to qualify from the group. There’s no doubt that this match will pretty much determine if they still have a chance of dong that or not, although I pretty much knew this would be the case anyway. I personally thought they did ok against Ghana and it only took a Sully Muntari bullet to deny them a 1-1 draw. Nevertheless, it was still a fairly flat performance and was described by the manager as one of the worst since his time in charge of the country. A reaction is expected and I know for sure that Guinea have the players needed to get a result in this match.

Morocco hammered Namibia 5-1 but I dont think we should get carried away by that score. Morocco did a great job, but Namibia were utterly hopeless and are the weakest team in this tournament. Now Morocco will be more tested and it will be hard for them to win. They will also be without hat trick man Alloudi for the next 2 games (injury) which is a bit of a blow (great news for any CAN golden boot backers like me though lol !!) A draw would suit the Saharan team more, and if anyone needs to win, then it’s Guinea. But even a draw would still keep them in the tournament so I expect quite a cautious affair. Perhaps the start might be exciting, but unless an early goal is scored, then I can see this developing into a tactical battle. Guinea are god enough to get at least a draw out of this one so I’ll take them on the +0.5AH. If they could end up winning the match, then I’d be absolutely delighted.

Morocco -0.5 @ 1.97 Betfair

I think that Morocco will be to strong for Guinea and can see them winning by the odd goal

Namibia +2.5 @ 2.23 Betfair

Thought long and hard about this one. Ghana have to win by 3 for me to lose this one. Out of there last 21 games Namibia have only lost by more than 3 goals 3 times. I expect Ghana to win but I see value in this bet

If you watched the first game, mate, it was clear Namibia had absolutely no defence at all. I find it pretty risky to back them, albeit the handicap looks big enough. Ghana are the home nation, too, as knowing Morocco beat Namibia by four goals and that they struggled to win agains guinea, they will defo wanna show what they are worth - can go either way in this case.

Andre Ayew at 11/1 to score first with laddies looks massive, basically Namibia can't really defend at all like Tulenos said so I'd give Ghana 80% to score the first goal. Andre is son of Ghanian legend "Pele" so all the home fans will be behind him.

So the question is will he be capabable of scoring? He's been really impressive playing for Marseille youth and reserves and scored 11 for the reserves. When he came on against Guinea he almost scored straight away.
I think there's a reason why this youngster is so highly rated and why Wenger is trying to get him to Arsenal.

He probably won't start tonight though so the bet will be voided if the first goal is scored before he comes on.
But if he starts there's a chance he will start up front as that's where Ghana struggle at bit at the moment.
They'll probably be playing 3 up front and Asamoah Gyan will start but who else? Junior Agogo of Forest? Quincy?

Quincy looked decent against Guinea so i think might see Junior dropped even he though he put in an OK performance.

Having beaten Guinea in the 1976 ANC final to clinch the Cup, the Moroccans will be determined to repeat that feat again tonight. Keep in mind also that Morocco will be out to erase the nightmare of their 2006 ANC campaign during which they were knocked out in the group stages without scoring a goal. Morocco will definitely look to this match to wrap-up qualification to the knock-out stages before their expected showdown with Ghana to determine group winners in their last match. Although starting the match a bullet short, in a continent where the strong nearly always overcomes the weak, I still expect Morocco to prevail quite comfortably against the Guineans.

Do not bet against Guinea scoring though, as they are quite capable of scoring the odd goal or two.

Prediction: Morocco (-0.5) 3 - Guinea 1

Not a lot, but I hope some will...I doubt the whole nation will take kindly to losing to Guinea...

Good luck to all...it has been a very bad week overall...

ANC - 3 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw

Morroco are without there main striker who scored a hat trick in the previous game. So me thinks there might not be that many goals in this game.

I've gone for either team not to score at 10/11. I can see Morroco nicking it maybe 1 or 2-0.

Morroco were very poor. There goalkeeper is an absolute joker.

Any other score @ HT @ 3.5 @ BF - basically Ghana need to score three or more - based on the non-defence of the opposition. Would normally lay the 0-0 @ HT, but the price of 5/1 is really too high to even think about it.

I have gone to Lay 0-0 at HT. I just can't see Namibia hanging on for 45mins.

Yeh cheers Sir Fernando

An important win for me, not just the +0.5, but them getting the 3 points. My bet for them to qualify from the group now looks in good shape as long as they can do a professional job against Namibia.

Well done to Kev for the over 2.25 winner as well. It was an incredible way for your bet to have won with probably the goal of the tournament
