| Here are the selections that qualified as R.R lays. A very important thing to add is that the figures given above are based on paying 5% commission to Betfair and laying at 10% above SP. | That's right Tulenos. The R.R selections are basically a sub-section of the total lays I put up. They all share one characteristic to qualify them so in that sense they are chosen systematically as opposed to basing them on personal feeling. Have started looking at the area of non-runners and you may well be on to something. I reckon there may be a case for dropping selections when a 5 runner race drops to 4 or when there are 2 non-runners in any race. Early days but I'll post the findings soon enough. Rooster |

| Good going, mate. FYI and it might help, I started taking all of RR for real hard earned and noticed that taking them some 5-6 minutes before the off, ie just before the time the real market shake-up time starts, often results in laying at better prices - for instance all Thu lays were available app. 0.2-0.3 lower than BF SP (had a full record of prices taken, BF SP, bookie SP, but unfortunately never saved it). The first two today - Mazzola laid @ 1.91, SP 1/1 (2.00), BF SP 2.16 - Jeer laid @ 2.62, SP 2/1 (3.00), can't remember BF SP, etc. It looks like an interesting trend indeed. ![]() Keep them coming ![]() |

I've been doing a little bit on the non-runner stats that i'll finish next week but the trend seems to indicate to stay away from races where there are 2 non-runners. Rooster | |

| Hi, Just wanted to say that after lurking around (after finding this forum and thread by total mistake) for a few weeks, that i've found your posts very interesting and have been following your RR especially. I actually took the step of registering today to offer these few crumbs of encouragement and say that there are probably a bunch of people like me who read your posts without actually stating it. Keep up the great work. I've also noticed Tulenos's point about rising prices also, although i also have no records to show Cheers Smoothboo |

| I'm not a huge fan of staking plans but for the R.R selections I'm going to run a 100 unit bank and lay each selection for 10% of that bank. When the bank grows by 10% or more that becomes the new 100 units. This is very high risk for me but the I'm willing to risk 100 quid to see what happens. Worst losing run to date is 3 which would have wiped 45% off the bank but since posting started a 100 unit bank would now stand at 1,344.53 after commission etc in the space of a month so what the hell it's only a ton Famous last words.I would appreciate any thoughts on other staking plans that people use for laying horses. Come on I know you're out there! Rooster |

| Results for Saturday 24 May 2008 The 630 Cartmel is a good example of what I said earlier about 2 non-runners in a race. 6 runners down to 4 and the horse wins.
