New to the forum - like your approach to laying.

Bit confused - 3.30 Wolves Precision Break - you have as Lay selection, but also back selection on your other thread ???? Also BF price - currently around 3.0 - is way over SL ( 5/4 ) and your price ( 8/11 ) Has to be win bet at this price ??

Hi Juan.

Welcome to the forum mate. I made a mistake in my postings last night and probably cost a few people some money so sorry to everyone

I should not have included Precision Break on the Lay thread at all but naturally I will count it as a loss in the records. In case it happens again as I am a bit stupid if a horse that appears in my Best of the day thread also appears here DO NOT LAY IT!!!!! My apologies again to anyone who laid it.

The price was definitely worth taking today. I got 2/1 on Betfair and was happy with that.

Ok here are some stats for these lays to date. Please note that I have included all selections since I started doing them on 16 April 2008. I only started posting them here on the 22 April so there's an extra 28 selections included in these figures. I feel it's acceptable to that as it gives as true a picture as possible to the overall performance. Stats are up to and including selections on the 29 June 2008. Today's results are not included because I'm tired and still have a load of other selections to choose for tomorrow.

What is clear from these figures is that sticking to selections that are favourites (including joint and co) has given the most profit and also the best ROI. In calculating P/L figures I have deducted 5% commission and added 10% onto the official SP.

From tomorrow I'm going to make a couple of changes. I will post selections as I normally do but I will also add in some extra ones - let's call them RR2 selections. The number of successful lays is lower but the prices are short and will hopefully be profitable. Over the same period as above they have done well and would have added an additional 30 points profit.

I will also add yet another category which considers an additional filter to see how they perform. It's a difficult time of year to be attempting all this and results may well reflect the fact that the season has settled down but time will tell. I'm not going to recommend a strategy as I think everyone has their own way of doing things. At the end of the day it's about making a few quid.
