| slapdash hi mate, i was thinking one day ( it doesn't happen often) and looking at systems cause they interest me. I got to thinking that a horse is really an athlete same as a greyhound. I Was into the running bit at the time marathons, 1/2 marathons, 10k. and i thought that really the theory should be the same. regarding peaking for a race whether you are a human, dog or horse. An athlete can peak and then stay at that level for a while before coming back down for a period then he can peak again. you can't stay at that high level for an indefinate time. I can always remenber Steve Ovett and Seb Coe they broke the 1500 metre record between them quite a few times in the space of about about a week. So i thought that if a horse is turned out again quickly ( hence the QUICK system ) the trainer must think that he/she had a bloody good chance to repeat the performance (peaking) before going back down again. No trainer would run them again so soon if they looked like they were showing any signs of fatigue/injury etc. I think thats maybe why we get a lot of Non-Runners. hope that helps its really the ramblings of an idiot but honestly that was my thinking when i started this. bet you wish you hadn't asked now Good Luck mate ralphie its what we all need in this life ![]()

It's only a true girls fridge when theres a pot of cottage cheese with pinapple in the bottom, and 5 different veg/fruit in the salad tray... Its a guys fridge if theres a pot of cottage cream in there but it started out as dairylea and whatever was in the salad tray is now just one browny mess... Great info btw, always wondered what the system is based on. It makes me wonder though, in handicapping there is a 6lb penalty for winning, plus the handicapper throwing pounds around like an explosion in a weights factory. That begs the question, have you ever noticed this making a difference to your system? Is there a filter/calc in place to deal with rises in wieghts in Handicapping? And if you where wondering, the ENTIRE inventory for my fridge is: Milk (1/4 pint), Ketchup, crab sticks, Meldrew's butter (I can't believe it), tin o spam (been there for a year!), Yop (1/2 bottle), 3 eggs and an old vegetable of some kind (I believe it used to be lettuce). Now thats a mans fridge! No beer either because it's Wednesday and I ain't been shopping... I believe the contents of ones fridge reflects the state of ones mind So whats in your fridge Ralphie?? I'd love a peak into the twisted mind of the quick system!! hehe

| nice one Maria can't knock that ZuluWarrior like i say mate at the moment only food, milk and eggs bit boring now my fridge if the better half let me stock it would be just tinnies cause i don't cook good i would live on cold beans from the tin tinnies and ice cream plus ready salted crisps weekly shop would be well hard but a labour of love no mate no filters for penalties i tried to keep it simple in the beginning bit like me sometimes turning them out quickly beats the handicapper's next jump
