ok the system is working and so is the staking plan but it got me sweating today with the high odds on some of them and you must understand i am only governed by the racing post the system only selects horses that are in the first 2 of the racing post forcast if they go way out on the day which is what happened today i have no control so i have decided to try a filter and not lay any selected horse over 5/1

i would love to get some feedback on this post so any suggestions or comments please let me know

so heres to tomorrow

ps: i will be using 2 point stakes starting tomorrow

First post on Punters Lounge so here goes...

Interesting reading so far and pleased it is going well for you. Couple of quick points:

Is the 5/1 cap on laying the favourite simply because it it not worth the risk laying horses at a bigger price?

Not too sure it is a solid long term plan to increase your liability after a favourite wins in order to recoup your loses. If two or three favourites won on the bounce it could hit you pretty hard.

Good luck with the system!

hi matt

the 5/1 isnt primerily the risk of the horse winning but mainly to avoid wiping out the pot so i can sustain any losses

and i was looking into your second point it could be fatal i agree so possibly i could split the losses over the remainder of the races which makes it a little bit more difficult working out stakes or i could stretch it over 2 races my plan was not to get too many winners with the selections the system picks so for now i will continue to use that staking but i have noted the prospect of a complete wipeout

thankyou for your pointers m8

Bunny Good Luck with this but the system is flawed. I know it's only a paper system but in reality when laying favourites you need to factor in the 5% comission you would have to pay on an exchange, so you are never actually gonna win full pt.

I would advise to stick to your plan but have a theoreitical starting bank say £1000 and bet a % instead of points ie maria staking plan.

It'll be a bit more work but it'll give you a true indication if your system works or not.

Going well Bunny. I also am not a fan of your staking system. Am I right in thinking that you would still be a winner with level stakes? If so I would be going the level stakes.
Good luck.

the staking plan isnt the issue here believe it or not it is to do with selecting horses to lose at a the lowest odds possible using a system
i am well aware of all the differant staking plans available and when and if the selection system works then you can addopt any staking plan you wish i put these selections up daily free of charge if you want to follow them then do and use your own staking plan i have used my selections on betfair live to £5 stakes and currently i am £278 in profit using exactly the same horses i select and post here i am playing with irish markets which seems to be alot easier due to the amount of runners but more expensive to lay due to the high odds the fav can be 8/1 so i dont think this will be viable as 2 losers could cost £50 alot to get back but i will continue to stick to what is working and to answer yes the level stakes is working using the system i have never had 3 losers in a row so far

btw thanks for the feedback much appreciated also this isnt a dig i am just expressing the reason for the post if you would like to help and take my selections and put them to a staking plan please do so and post here i suppose all the watchers would love to see the results

Nice response, Bunnychaser .... I seem to remember almost identical obscene language used by a contributor to the GOWI website (Gambling & Other Wholesome Interests) when it ran a message system.... he/she was quickly banned.... could it have been you, by any chance?
