Default Earning a living gambling Easy or hard????

Im going to stick my neck out here and i hope you guys will support me on this! Im going to see how i would get on in a gamblers mind to raise a profit from a starting bank. I will start with a Cash balance of £500 and will only bet Monday - Friday leaving Saturday and Sunday out (As i find this is the hardest days to raise a profit) I will try and use my knowledge to figure out my bets and work out which horses i think i should bundle my money on and which ones i shouldnt and hope to raise a lot of money (Or it could go Pete Tong and i could end up with nothing) Anyway i will be back on before the first races to put my thoughts up on todays racing and also my stakes.

In my view this is a system as i am using my filters which im finding to be working very well, So hopefully the admin wont move this to Glory hunters

If you put reasoning for each horse you're fine.

Good luck

Lets start with Yarmouth first my betting bank is £500

Yarmouth
2.15 Seventh Cavalry ran his best race when 3rd on his first start and on that form in Class 4 looks good and also visoredto help him concentrate, Rio Guru who is weighted to improve on his previous runs and should go close (Nedds to take to the drying ground).
Advice Seventh Cavalry £3 Win @ 7/2
Rio Guru £4 Win @ 11/4.

2.45 Dazinski could place on its previous 7th does have a lot to do but has had a run under his belt whats a plus, Ray Of Joy is another with place claims on previous form but again a lot to do.
Advice Dazinski £2 E/W @ 13/2
Ray Of Joy £2 E/W @ 10/1.

3.15 River Dee is 5lb down on his soul start and dropping in class could see a improvement, Shadow Bay is looking for a quick fire double after winning 2 days ago but is giving a lot of weight away.
Advice River Dee £5 Win @ 11/4
Shadow Bay £6 Win @ 10/11. Just seen *****N/R****

3.45 Two interesting ones in this race both outsiders, Gone 'N' Dunnett is well over priced bearing in mind he has won twice over Going & Distance both on this track and is only 1lb up, Mugebas trainer has stated he wants RAIN! God knows why he has had good form on Good to firm ground and is at a good weight today to be a player has won carrying 8-11 so 7lb down with his claimer.
Advice Gone 'N' Dunnett £2 E/W @ 16/1
Mugeba £2 E/W @ 16/1.

4.15 Sforzando again is over priced has won twice carrying 9-6 on Going & Distance in Class 5 and is now 4lb down so could make a bold account, Naughty Thoughts has got a lot of weight to contend with but has a fine record over Going & Distance (31) 9lb up but has ran carrying big weights before and has ran well.
Advice Sforzando £2 E/W @ 20/1
Naughty Thoughts £4 win @ 7/2.

4.45 Sarahs First could place in this company with being handy at the weights 3lb down on best form, Pretty Officers 2nd looks interesting but was carrying only 7-13 so a lot to do this time out but could improve with a capable jockey.
Advice Sarahs First £3 Win @ 9/2
Pretty Officer £3 Win @ 4/1.

5.15 Colton has a great chance to improve is dropping down in class and has a 3lb claimer taking valuable weight off, Chapter could win this and has won carrying 1lb lower than today but ran a blinder coming 2nd carrying 10-4 so should make his present felt.
Advice Colton £3 E/W @ 13/2
Chapter £4 Win @ 5/1.

£52 placed on bets ( All prices taken at time of typing with Paddy Power).

Advice Green Park £2 E/W @ 20/1
Bo McGinty £2 E/W @ 20/1

5.30 Andrasta has a excellent chance at the weights and does have a big race in him 8lbs down on his class 6 win late last year, Luijiana coyuld win this with a valuable 7lbs claimer taking a lump of his back also coming off a well deserved win 4 days ago.

Thats defiantely NOT a way to bet if you want to do it for a living you should always have a minimum & maximum thats why most people use a 1 to 10 points system because just because you really fancy one you should not suddenly lump 20 or 30 points on it.

And to the actual question it depends how much you want to earn and what you want to pay for from earning a living from gambling this is what determines how hard it is

For starters, don't bet at Newmarket-by-the-sea (Yarmouth) unless you're a Newmarket based jockey, a Newmarket based trainer, or P. Chapple Hyam fancies one of his, as The Kop in full song make less noise.

Other than that, get in the bogs while a race is on and listen to the trainers.

What i was hoping for was to at least double my winnings guys i.e £500 into £1000 by gradually upping my stakes and so on so forth this is more of a excercise to see what happens gradually over time. Didnt do that bad at Ayr but Yarmouth was difficult. I will update my scores and bank tommorow.

Yarmouth
2.15 Global City may go off a better price than the current odds on price 2/5 and sets the standard on his 2nd 2 weeks out and could get a win for the Godolphin Team.
Advice Global City £4 Win @ S.P.

2.45 Landikhaya who i backed last week and ran a dreadful race, This time i will forgive his run and take a chance back in Seller Company and is only 1lb up on his win last month.
Advice Landakhiya £3 Win @ 4/1.

3.15 Aleatrics is going for a 4 timer and cxould easily get it on his recent form even though he has a penalty he should still be ahead of the handicapper, Graylyn Ruby has ran a few good races and could pick up some prize money under Neil Callan.
Advice Aleatrics £5 Win @ 1/2
Graylyn Ruby £3 E/W @ 11/1.

3.50 Striving will have her supporters and the Stoute/Moore combo should be a candidate but will need a confident ride 6lbs up on 2nd last month, Lifes A Whirl looks a place prospect on his 2nd over Going & Distance last year and is on 2lb up on that form, Al Rayanah could also place at a nice price, best form has been in class 6 events now up in class and 2lbs up but still could sneak into the frame.
Advice Striving £4 Win @ 11/4
Lifes A Whirl £3 E/W @ 10/1
Al Rayannah £2 E/W @ 16/1.

Advice Mut'Ab £7 Win @ 2/7.

4.55 A few with fancies in this one, Fiefdom backers shouldnt be put off with the weight as the gelding has performed well carrying similar weights, would need to come back to form but place opportunity at best, Oh So Saucy is familiar to the first mentioned has placed before carrying 9-13 before and this time has a 5 lbs claimer so dangerous, Atheer Dubai is a good price at 20's has came a unlucky 4th in a class 4 race and could be weighted to improve.

Oh So Saucy £3 Win @ 7/2
Atheer Dubai £2 E/W @ 20/1.

5.25 Puskas could place but needs to improve back to his form a few years ago and is nicely weighted to find improvement, Peopleton Brook could be a hidden danger has won in a class 5 race in May last year carrying 9-8 now a stone in at the weights plus David Probert taking a valuable 5lbs off, Rann Na Cille also has won carrying a higher weight but in a class 6 what wont be a problem and is now carrying a nice weight to be a danger.
Advice Puskas £2 E/W @ 16/1

Salisbury

2.30 Bluebok looks good in this race and could easily be a danger, Won a Class 3 race a couple of years back carrying 9-8 and is weighted the same this time down by 3 classes obvious place claims, Whos Winning is another danger and could place, Is high in the weights but does have good form over Going & Distance, Arfinnit could be a danger but needs to improve at the weights.
Advice Bluebok £2 E/W @ 20/1
Whos Winning £3 E/W @ 7/1
Arfinnit £4 E/W @ 6/1.

Advice Square Eddie £5 Win @ 2/1.

3.35 Ocean Avenue could place on form has Won in Class 5 carrying 9-4 only 5lbs up and going down in class, Irish Ballad has got question marks and is 9lbs up on previous form but still handy at the weights but has William Buick on board which should give the gelding a chance.
Advice Ocean Avenue £4 E/W @ 7/1
Irish Ballad £3 Win @ 9/2.

4.05 A couple with good chances here, Resonate who is high enough in the weights but has won carrying 9-9 and is dropping by 7lbs up in class, Flying Applause is weighted to improve, 2nd in a class 5 event on his only Going & Distance race and is now 8lbs down, Del Mar Sunset is also well in at the weights after winning a class 5 handicap and is 8lbs better off.
Advice Resonate £3 E/W @ 10/1
Flying Applause £4 E/W @ 15/2
Del Mar Sunset £4 Win @ 4/1.

4.40 Provence may need to improve on his soul start and is going up in class and has a extra pound to add to his worries but still could be a player, Mille Feuille could place on his previous outings and looks to be a improver at the weights.
Advice Provence £3 E/W @ 7/1
Mille Feuille £3 E/W @ 8/1.

5.10 Mganga who is now 5lbs down in the weights with his claimer taking 7lbs off on his best form could win this, MrsJefferson could have place claims but is 9lbs higher when 3rd earlier in the month.

Bangor (Going to go for it tonight)

6.00 Nakoma is down by 7lbs on his 3rd in Class 4 in may and could be strong enough to win this, Alecia has risen in the weights on her 2nd last time out, but is still sitting pretty at the foot of the table.
Advice Nakoma £10 Win @ 3/1
Alecia £4 E/W @ S.P (Hoping to drift).

6.30 Scalloway is 1lb down on his claa 3 victory in June at Aintree should be a major player here, Archimboldo has come down to a decent mark and could be weighted to place at a good price 10lb down in a class 3 race last year, Lord On The Run is also at a good mark and has won carrying 11-12 in the past and is 8lb down.
Advice Scalloway £6 Win @ 3/1
Archimboldo £4 E/W @ 14/1
Lord On The Run £5 E/W @8/1.

7.00 I will take a chance with Chyrsander for value both of the top 2 in the betting should win this as they are both well capable of scoring wins and it would need significant mistakes for one of them not to prevail.
Advice Chrysander £4 Win @ 7/4.

7.30 Distiller has best form by far and should record a win on his latest ventures, OneForSaturday could be a danger if Distiller fails to deliver.
Advice Distiller £10 Win @ 5/6
Oneforsaturday £3 Win @ 9/2.

8.00 Genghis should run a big race as he has done nothing wrong in his career so far, Loita Hills could give Appollo Creed a run for his money and shouldnt put backers off by his top weight, Has won off 11-12 in the past in both Class 3 & 4.
Advice Genghis £5 E/W @ 11/2
Loita hills £7 Win @ 5/2.

8.30 Always Baileys looks like a interesting outsider to place, 4th in class 4 carrying 10-7 now 7lb down has a realistic chance yo improve, My Condor is also down to a managable mark and should place on previous form has come 2nd carrying 11-12 now 10lbs down, Yellow Flag looks like a dead cert on his form and has only risen a couple of pounds on his best form going for a hat-trick.
Advice Yellow Flag £8 Win @ 4/9
Always Baileys £3 E/W @ 25/1
My Condor £5 E/W @ 16/1.

9.00 McQueen could win this but has got question marks and may not be the most straightforward, Glimmer Of Light had some good form last year and would need to improve on that form.
Advice McQueen £5 E/W @ S.P
Glimmer Of Light £4 E/W @ 8/1.

12 out of 18 winning bets so far today so that should do this thread a world of good.

Lingfield looks really hard today, Will keep my stakes low here.

2.00 Oops Another Act whose soul run on the AW when coming 8th doesnt look great but has now come down by a few pounds, would need to improve to place, Coin of the realm should be strong on his turf form and should run a big race if converting form to the polytrack.
Advice Coin Of The Realm £3 Win @ 5/2
Oops Another Act £2 E/W @ 15/2.

2.30 Flash Of Colour has won a class 5 event carrying 8-7 has gone up in the weights but that victory could be a good benchmark even though his 11lbs rise also visored for the first time.
Advice Flash Of Colour £3 Win @ 5/1.

3.00 Tae Kwon Do may possibly place if behaving and settling and concentating on the race, High Alert has no form to go on but Trainer & Jockey combo showing a 33% Strike rate so this cannot be ignored.
Advice High Alert £3 Win @ 9/4
Tae Kwon Do £2 E/W @ 8/1.

3.30 Zebrano is weighted to improve on his 3rd in a class 6 AW race, but up in class so needs to improve.
Advice Zebrano £3 Win @ 11/10.

4.00 Wadnagin has won a Class 6 handicap in October last year has risen by 5lbs but good place claims with others around him worse off, Nikki Bea is also beeter off than the others at the weights, and has won 3 Class 6 races carrying 9-4 in the past and is now 2lb down on that form.
Advice Wadnagin £2 E/W @10/1
Nikki Bea £2 E/W @ 12/1.

4.30 Quality Street has a great chance in this handicap race, the mare has won a class 5 event last year carrying 9-12 now down by 11lbs should run a blinder, Regal royale could win this and is 2lb better off at the weights but going up in class, Edge End who should go off at a big price does have some good form so shouldnt be left out,, his best form was a 3rd on the polytrack and is now come down by nearly a stone.
Advice Regal Royale £3 Win @ 4/1
Quality Street £4 E/W @ 13/2
Edge End £2 E/W @ 25/1.

5.00 City For Conquest looks a killer bet, bearing in mind he is down in class on his best form and has won in class 5 and is now 6lbs down and dropping in class, Stoneacre Chris could also go off at a good price and has only risen by 1lb on his best form which was his 2nd in class 5.
Advice City For Conquest £4 Win @ 7/2
Stoneacre Chris £2 E/W @ 10/1.

Worcester

2.10 Grave Doubts looks interesting bearing in mind he has won a class 2 race carrying 10-1 has gone up a bit at the weights but does have a capable claimer to get him placed, River Tigris is another interesting one, her best form is in a Class 4 event where she came 2nd carrying top weight now with a claimer taking 3lbs off and could place, Lowe Go is now 6lbs better off but is going up in class which shouldnt be a worry.
Advice Lowe Go £4 Win @ 3/1
Grave Doubts £2 E/W @ 33/1
River Tigris £2 E/W @ 33/1.

2.40 Millards Lad could overturn the odds on jolly and is 6lb down on his win l
