Whats up fellow punters! Well this week we saw the strugglin sides actually pull some close winners this week. Talking about Real Madrid, Lyon, Bayern Munich. They all won by 1 goal. But they won and thats what counts. I see Werder still a little shakey there last 2 games and I dont see PSV the same like they were towards the end of 2006. Though I must say I'm impressed with AZ Alkmaar. Still up to there winning ways!

On the other hand Arsenal as a 1.5 handicap needed two late goals to beat Wigan at home...

Match day Feb 10-11

Parlay of the week

1.Reading st-up
2.Watford cover draw
3.Sheffield cover draw
4.Espanyol st-up
5.Empoli cover draw
6.Valenciennes cover draw

16 tickets

Next 2 week period will be very hectic for teams in cup play. What I would like to see on this thread is a discussion on priorities. What is most important to individual teams right now? domestice league, national cup, CL, Uefa cup? Will visiting top table teams rest 1st team players like Lyon or Milan or Real? or will the play them because many have already been out of action due to injury?

Well for me an interesting weekend a head, because then came CL!!!
Is good for that competition that Real Madrid, Lyon, Bayern Munich go back to winning again. But Real Madrid and Bayern Munich stick out, as they will clash and in last two weekends they have get same results, fist defeat and then victory.

So maybe set up for a draw?

What remarks the most is that Beckham came back to be key in Real Madrid and showing Capello was wrong. Two clubs with problems as Bayern recently fired his coach, so it is up to see in this weekend is the victory wasn't just casuality and they continue to be in crisis.

I agree with you my friend! Real Madrid and Bayern is going to be a coin toss. And the Draw looks like the pick to take!

I have watch his declarations,he really lost his head speaking on public what he should have said inside. But is true there isn't just flowers for him as they are for Ronaldinho. I don't think he want out, but he want to be the start and the focus of all lights. So a internal crisis seesm to be to have exploted.

A president that doesn't support his coach
A coach that doesn't support his players and puts him in evidence.
A player that speak out internal stuff and in "apparent" conflict with his coach.

So a real mess, and just because he didn't want to play final minutes. Can Barca is going back to the times they can't handle an easy thing.

Just rounding out, Eto'o wasn't call, and Barca lost the track on the game and lost 2-1, this tights the tournament and make it more interesting.

Well what can i say about this champions league knock out round. Not much. Just that there were many upsets. I never expected Lyon to go out this early. There performance was flawless in the end of 2006 but ever since the new year they have gone down big time. They dominated the group stage so i was thinking they would go further. By the looks of it now the winner this year will be from a English team
