Heniek, still you might need the atlas, but this is a step towards easing the things 13 Jul-17:00 Sliema Wanderers Malta v FBK Kaunas Lithuania 13 Jul-19:00 FK Pobeda Macedonia v Pyunik Armenia 13 Jul-19:00 KR Reykjavik Iceland v Shelbourne Ireland 13 Jul-19:00 Sheriff Tiraspol Moldova v Jeunesse Esch Luxembourg 13 Jul-19:15 Siroki Brijeg Bosnia (Herzegovina, in fact ) v Neftchi Azerbaijan14 Jul-15:00 Wit Georgia Tbilisi Georgia v HB Torshavn Faroer Islands 14 Jul-16:00 Gomel Belarus v SK Tirana Albania 14 Jul-16:30 Skonto Riga Latvia v Rhyl Wales 14 Jul-17:00 FC Flora Tallinn Estonia v HIT Gorica Slovenia 14 Jul-19:45 Linfield Northern Ireland v HJK Helsinki Finland Concerning the games, I believe Sheriff is a banker (and the bookies know it) though I beleive they wont play in Tiraspol, but in Chisinau, and Siroki should win, giving the 1.70 double, which is not that bad. I wonder where is the Kazakhstan champion, dont tell me they made it to a direct second round ! Concerning Geography, try to decode the UEFA cup qualifications 8o thats something !

14 Jul-21:00 KR Reykjavik v Shelbourne 2.00 3.20 3.20 NB: This game is on Wednesday as is the Sheriff Tirraspol game From fai.ie: It is now four years since Shelbourne cleared the first hurdle in European competition as Danish side Brondby, Hibernians of Malta and Olimpija Ljubljana of Slovenia have all won first round ties against the Dubliners. But in each of the games, Shels have earned good away scorelines drawing with Malta and losing narrowly to Brondby and Olimpija Ljubljana only to lose to all three at Tolka Park. But unbeaten in ten matches in the League, Shels’ are flying and are determined to prove they have what it takes to succeed in Europe. “We’re not going there hung up on previous results. A lot of the players around of Hibernians aren’t here anymore and we played a very good side in Ljubljana last season,” said Fenlon. “But we are confident of getting a result. We’ve had them watched and they’re a good side, but we’re the best side in Ireland at the moment and we want to improve on our European record.” Considering Shels’ recent record in Europe at home, Fenlon admits that playing away first is an advantage though he is hoping for an improvement in the home tie next week. “I think we’ve always been better away than at home and that goes for everyone, not just Shelbourne. “We’ve all got good results away from home because we’re difficult to beat but when we’re at home and have to open up the opposition, things become difficult. It’s the nature of the League and something that we’ve got to learn from.” 1000 POSTS!

Linfield hit by injuries (from BBC sport) Linfield boss David Jeffrey has called several young reserves into his injury-hit squad for Wednesday's Champions' League game against HJK Helsinki. James Bell, Mark Clegg and Gareth Bond, who were all used as substitutes in the pre-season friendly against Welsh side TNS, are named in the panel. Jeffrey has also taken the precaution of registering third-choice keeper Neil McKnight with Uefa for the two legs. Striker Glenn Ferguson is suspended and other Linfield players have injuries. Defender Pat Wall and midfielder Phil Charnock are expected to be out until October and Jeffrey fears he may also be without Mark Picking and Steven Douglas. Ryan McCann and Michael Gault are other injury concerns but they hope to be fit in time. Jeffrey has promised Linfield will not adopt defensive tactics against the Finns in the first leg at Windsor Park. "I do not want to see another Linfield hard luck story. I would rather get beaten 6-0 and come away knowing that we really went for it. "I am sick and tired of losing by the odd goal or on the away goal rule. Every year it seems to be the same, we defend really well in both legs but one goal puts us out. "I am determined that will not happen this year, my players will be going out to take the game to Helsinki." ----------------------- A safe lay of Linfield may be on the cards. 8)

Skonto Riga v Rhyl (from BBC sport) Manager John Hulse has reject the suggestion that Rhyl's first taste of Champions League football will be a case of mission impossible in Latvia. Opponents Skonto Riga had seven players in Latvia's Euro 2004 squad, three of whom played every minute of every game. "We've got great spirit and fight in the camp," said Hulse. "We've prepared as professionally as we can, as we always do, and we're not down at all. "We believe we'll be a great credit to ourselves and make ourselves proud." As ever for Welsh teams playing in the early rounds of European competition, fitness will be a major concern for Rhyl. The players were given only a two-week break after the their final game of last season, and the part-timers have stepped up their training to three times a week in the last fortnight. But the lack of any competitive friendlies will inevitably mean the side which won an unprecedented four trophies last season will be below its best in Riga. "What we don't want is to concede an early goal and then the flood gates could open," said midfielder Marc Limbert. "They're a professional side and won't take the game for granted I'm sure. All we can hope for is that a couple of their players who were at Euro 2004 will be rested." Skonto, who won their 13th successive domestic league title last season, are more than halfway through their current season. But they suffered their first disappointment of the season last Thursday with a 3-1 away defeat to league leaders Metalurgs. "It's the hardest draw we could have had," admitted Hulse. "They were the last side we wanted to play. But it's going to be a great experience for me and all the players."

Not sure abt that Marek, but personally I'd never touch any San Marino, Faroe Islands, Luxembourg, Andorra, Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan club sides... Think a massive value would lay with laying Linfield. With those injuries crippling them, I honestly don't see how they can pose any obstacle to HJK Helsinki which I feel has sufficient mettle to walk this one... ![]()
