Breaking news:
St. Gallen has fired manager Loose, after his unsuccesful run of late and the problems he had with some of the leading players like captain Calla.

Aarau - Basel:
Aarau had a good run this year, but was stopped by two unnecessary losses. Basel are still top of the table with 2 points advance and 2 matches played less, so that looks comfortable.
Basel will have to play 6 of the remaining 9 matches away, so they have to start to improve on the away pitch. Against lower placed competition they have struggled so far to win.
Aarau in need for points, but will certainly act defensively even at home.

I will still go for Basel and cover the draw for small stakes
5/10 @1.8 Basel (Bet 365)

Grasshoppers - Thun
GC has had a good run as of late and has had the chance to rest. Thun had two wins against equally struggling Aarau and St. Gallen, both not completely convincing.
GC seems to like to play Thun, they have come out ahead quite a lot of times in the last 10 encounters.
While this is a match for UEFA-Cup birth, I favour GC in this one, they have just been a bit more convincing and Balakov might find his squad after all.
Deumi missing for Thun is quite a blow, albeit Milicevic returns after having been suspended.

8/10 @1.8 GC (Bet365)

Young Boys - Schaffhausen
YB had a crazy match on Sunday, 3-0 up against Zurich after 30 minutes, but then conceding 3 goals.
Schaffhausen have rested on the WE and have had more success away than at home, with 1-1 and 0-0 against Basel and Zurich, respectively, as well as a 0-1 win at GC.
YB might be distracted by the Cup final on Monday and may be resting some players. Against lower placed opposition playing defense they struggled (1-0 against Xamax).
I am putting some small stakes on the draw here.

2/10 @3.6 X (Bet 365)

I was looking to lay YoungBoys here but 3.6 for the draw seems very generous-IMO!
though Young Boys have won the last three meetings at home! libi!

BTW -how will the weather affect the other matches?

excellent write-up libi

I was all for the draw here -but your reasoning as far as Basle are concerned has made me wonder! and they have done well on the last two visits!

but don't Aarau still have plenty to play? are they in any danger?

Cheers!

Young Boys-Schaffhausen:

Young Boys playing for Europen Cups (Uefa)..today they have 2 missing for sus. Portillo(25m D,important but not problem for YB) and Everson(9m 2 golas, not important)..

Schaffhausen gighting for not relegation and today they have some important missing..Sereiig(28m 3 goal D,important player),Tarone(25m 2 goal M,important),Weller(15m 2 goal M),Soufiani(12m D) and Pesenti(6m 1 goal)

I think YB can easily win with handikap..

YB -1H...

(sorry for my English and GL)

Grasshopers-Thun:

Grasshopers and Thun fighting for 3.place for go to uefa cup..But if YB win the League Cup and if YB 3. end the league then 4.stand go to Uefa cup..

Grass have only long time inj. players,Chibab,Eduardo, fonseca, viveros, voser and peralta...But not important and long time..

thun hat some important missing in the midfield..

Armed Deumi(23m 4 goal),Silvan Aegerter(24m) and Gerber(13m 1 goal) are midfield missing and önder Cengel(10m 3 goal F) sus..

Grasshopers is in good form now and few weeks ago they win in Thun 1-0..And today they can it again..thun in the midfield have important missing and Grass is better then Thun..

Grasshopers win...

Well I'm jumping on the unders in the Hoppers/Thun game tonight. 15 of the last 20 for the Hoppers was under, 17 of 20 for Thun. Only three times there has been overs in the last 10 between them.
The only thing that makes this feel like a risk is that two of those overs was in 2005. Though, the unders have been apparent since coming back in Feb.

10/10 on unders @ 1.80 -- Centrebet
1.5 cover on CS 2-1 Hoppers @ 8.00 -- Centrebet

Wow, nice to see some crowd coming in here. Welcome everybody

@robby: your under pick seems reasonable. I haven't looked into the Over/under markets myself after having been burnt badly on the weekend, but most matches between Thun and GC have been tight, with the exception of about two matches, where GC just hit everything in counter attack

@Gittara:
I would be surprised if YB won against the handicap, as I expect this one to be really tight. Schaffhausen have drawn or won against the other 3 top teams away (GC, Zurich, Basel), so why not reproduce it tonight. At these odds, they are worth a shot. Especially if you count in that motivation will not be the highest at YBs side, so shortly before the cup final (which by the way is not the league Cup, which does not exist any more in Switzerland). I am pretty sure, some players will not risk injuries, so that might help Schaffhausen.

@adythom: Are Aarau in danger? Well, look at the tables. Everyone from place 6 (St. Gallen) is within 7 points from last place with 7 to matches to go, so everyone there is in danger to finish in last two spots.
The weather has been pretty bad, but the places where it will be played will be free of snow at least. I expect wet pitches and especially Aarau could feature some mud as well
