Nice profit for me today, with well-earned wins from Basel and GC coming in.


Sadly I had not been courageous enough to put a unit on Schaffhausen to win away, they keep on surprising in the away matches.

robby, sorry for you mate, your under was good until late and looked convincing enough to me.

Couple of fancies for me out of the 3 games in the Swiss Challenge League tonight . . .

Wohlen FC v Meyrin

Not alot can be said about poor Meyrin. They are rooted to the bottom of the Challenge league, 11 points adrift. There away form is abysmal - 0-5-8 and only scoring 7 in the process. they have however put togeter 3 succesive draws but these were against teams who are also struggling. A nice fact is Meyring haven't won since 24th September - a staggering 17 matches!!!. . . . But, guess who their last victory was against?! Wohlen! I think Wohlen will be out for revenge and will be seekign to give naughty Meyrin a spanking!

Wohlen, off the back of 2 wins and a draw, should simply have too much for Meyrin.

Most games see tight with Meyrin invovled, and dont really get battered that often. However, despite this, i'm risking the AH (-1) @ 1.61 with 9/10 stakes. I just can't see Meyrin getting anything from this, but better to be safe than sorry, and I'll be happy with my stake returned so Meyrin manage to sneak a draw or limit the potential mauling.

YF Juventus v Lausanne Sports

Whilst i'm not entirely comfortable, betting away wins in Swiss/Austrian leagues, I really like the look of Lausanne tonight. YFJ are coming off the back of 4 consecutive hammeringss - 0-3, 0-4, 0-4, 0-4 and seem in turmoil.

There are parallels with my other tip tonight in the same league (if you discount Meyrin who are just bad and who YFJ beat 4-1!!!), the last time YFJ won was 24th September, and who did they win in that game?! Correct again! Tonight's opponents Lausanne! Once again, i expect revenge to be very much on the minds of Lausanne.

Lausanne with a victory tongiht, can move to within a point of second placed Sion and really put some pressure on them. Undefeated in 5 and off the back off 3 straight wins, they must surely have too much for YFJ.

Considering YFJ's recent spankings, the potential of 2nd place and the possible revenge, i'm going to again go for a risky AH (-1) @2.02 with 7/10.
