Quite a lucky win for Zurich, with an incredible mistake by Xamax GK Kale. Xamax was the better team with more and better goal chances. Highlights can be seen here http://www1.sf.tv/sfsport/artikel.ph...id=20060426_01

let's get the Double of Young Boys & Xamax with Asian Handicap.
Young Boys last match did very well, beaten Aarau 5-1 and Thomas Haberli did a hat-trick,so I think Young Boys is very strong now.
Xamax and Aarau are fighting for the relagation, although Xamax was lost to Zurich but the Home team the miracle is very high.

to PL and the Swiss League thread run_bro.

Xamax made the better impression than Aarau as of late, so I definately agree on this one. YB has had two good matches and they are the better team than St. Gallen, but this is definately not a banker against St. Gallen, who had hree good matches (albeit two losses) under their new manager.

libi ur definitelt right, its not for the faint hearted!!iv decided not to check the scores and just check the result at the end, i think they like leaving it late to score to make the fans sweat a little for their bet!again i cant complain about the rsult, although i expected alot more goals.
good result in the end to make a tasty profit!

Lausanne - Bellinzona (Challenge League)

I must admit that I do not follow the Challenge League (2nd league) very closely. Even here in Switzerland there is hardly any tv coverage and the level of play is not very high.
But I do think that the current situation might offer some nice opportunities. There are 4 more rounds to go, 1st place goes up directly while 2nd place will have a play-off against 9th from Super League. 3 Teams (Lucerne, Sion, Lausanne) are still in the race - 67, 62, 61 points respectively) and are quite clearly ahead of everybody else.
Lausanne (3rd) vs. Bellinzona (8th) will feature a huge difference in motivation, besides the fact that Lausanne is certainly the better team with some very experienced players like Chapuisat. Bellinzona have absolutely nothing to play for, they will end the season somewhere in the middle of the table.
1.44 under these circumstances seems to be a good price. I will try to see if I can get some more infos on this match, before finally deciding for a punt.

BTW, Sion - Chaux-de-Fonds on Saturday looks interesting for the same reasons, while prices on Lucerne - Meyrin are too short.

Update
I did a bit of research, www.top11.ch does now feature as well previews of the challenge league (in German and French).
Lausanne is missing Alexandre Comisetti (!!) and Arona, Bellinzona is missing Ivan Burla, Adrian Florin Pit, Angelo Raso, Pietro Terranova, Hatim Sbaï, Alessandro Cesaretti. Two of Lausanne's players played this week in the Swiss U20 against Germany.
Bellinzona has only managed one draw (3 losses) against the big 3 this year. Lausanne was a bit unsteady, but has won the last 3 matches at home.

I decided to take a small bet on Lausanne, based mostly on the fact that the top 3 teams of the CL are somewhat superior to the rest and that there is a big difference in motivation (OTOH, only Lausanne is under pressure).
I will try to make use of this situation until end of the year if prices seem right.

3/10 Lausanne @1.44 (Bet 365)

Tonight's results (Challenge League)

Chiasso - Kriens 0-2
Lausanne - Bellinzona 3-0

Nice start to the weekend with an undisputed victory from Lausanne. Was only for small stakes, but hey, I won't complain.

Schaffhausen v Yverdon

Think I'll treat myself to medium stakes (5pts) on Schaffhausen to beat Yverdon on Saturday. 2.1 with betfred is a great price for me, was expecting to get less than evens so this is a bonus. Yes they've done very poor at home but so have Yverdon away from home. Both sides have only the 1 win respectively. Yverdon have won here this season but Schaffhausen's 4-0 demolition at Yverdon last month is good enough for me to get on the home side. Huge game as these 3 pts will aid both sides in their attempts to avoid the playoffs.

Schaffhausen 5/10 @ 2.10 betfred

Post Re: Swiss Leagues (26th - 30th April)

Challenge League:

After the success of yesterday, I am going to continue to try and exploit the current situation. Two matches qualify for this therefore:

Lucerne (1st) - Meyrin (18th)
Sion (3rd) - Chaux-de-Fonds (5th)

Lucerne is obviously a foregone conclusion, but 1.16 on the home team is too low for my likings.

Sion will miss Alex Leandro, Chaux-de-Fonds Damien Greub and Murat Yesil. Sion should be fresher with 26 players to chose from, additionally Chaux-de-Fonds played on Wednesday.
Again, I am going for this one as there is a gap in skill and a huge gap in motivation. Guess as well a good crowd will turn up here to cheer on Sion, who have the added pressure to win, as Lausanne passed them yesterday.

3/10 Sion @1.44 (Bet 365)

no bet Lucerne

Default Re: Swiss Leagues (26th - 30th April)

Schaffhausen - Yverdon
One of the relegation derbys of this WE. And what a match, the worst home team against the worst away team. Schaffhausen had just one win at home (last summer against YB) and Yverdon just one away win and guess where, right, against Schaffhausen. Same points, lying 7th and 8th in the league, one point before relegation places, so motivation is the same for both teams.

Schaffhausen missing Rama and Sereinig weakening the team somewhat. All in all I would say that Schaffhausen is slightly the better team, but there home record is just pathetic. These are the two teams of the Super League I know the least and I find it always hard to predict how the bottom 4 play against each other, therefore I will leave my finger from this one.

NO BET

BTW: david, good luck with your punt on this one
