Lot of strange things going on around the Zurich team.
Star player Rafael disappeared before the Sunday match, the Club claimed he was kidnapped. He is now back in training, just been drinking for 2 days and he wants more money (got to try that trick with my employer as well ).
How will this affect Zurich? They reacted well on Sunday, showing a lot of character, so I might still give them credit. Will wait what happens until tomorrow though.

currently sitting on the train (yes, UMTS can be cool if you commute and can still access punters lounge at a decent speed) and definately too drunk for a clear thought (no, haven't been hanging out with Rafael). Better leave the analysis for tomorrow.

cheers mate

Xamax - Zurich
Xamax has sent out a sign that they are still alive by beating Schaffhausen on the weekend. Though they did not have a great match, they were still able to push over their opponent when they badly needed a win. They hope to get even more out of the series of 4 home machtes - this being match 4 - to avoid relegation. Looking at their list of missing players, Mangane is a big blow but was out on WE already, Bedenik can be compensated and notably, Rey could be back, probably not for a whole match though. He would add a lot of experience and danger to their attack.
Zurich is unbeaten for 18 matches, albeit many of them not convincing, still they are definately on a run. They won 3-2 in St. Gallen on WE and showed good character, with 2 goals coming in very late and sort of lucky. They can shorten the gap to Basel today again to 3 points, but always when they were close, they let it slip. OTOH, they have won all matches this year against the bottom 4 except for the match in Aarau. Zurich had some trouble in the team with star player Rafael dissappearing before last match. He is now back and if allowed to play will probably be rather fired up. Missing Keita when having Rafael should not be a problem, and Dzemaili coming in for Margairaz should not be a problem either.

Top 4 against bottom proved pretty reliable going for the top teams lately and there is no doubt that Zurich has much the better team than Xamax. I can't see Zurich loosing this one, actually they should win it (Xamax lost 1-4 and 1-5 against YB and Basel respectively).

5/10 AH -0.5 Zurich @1.75 (Bet365)

to PL Dalas

if Blazevic really left for Croatia, than I dont expect Xamax to take anything from this match.

Hi Dalas

thnx for the info, though I do not think it will make a lot of difference. It is been pretty clear for some time that Blazevic would not stay for next season, no matter what the outcome is. Anyway, definately speaks as well for the away win.

graet preview libi, i think the zurich win is certain and will definitely be backing the away win1, after basel getting a draw on the weekend zurich will want to take full advantage of the situation, away win with plenty of goals
do u have any idea why the basel game has been cancelled today?
good luck anyone having a punt

YB - Basel had to be postponed, because the business lounges of the stadium were already booked otherwise (as this match should have been played when Basel played "surprisingly" in the last 8 of UEFA-Cup). It is now going to be played on 10th of May.

Always makes me weary when everyone agrees, but that is seing ghosts under the bed, I guess

Just made it before kick-off! Put a bet on Zurich based on your write-up libi. I also put a bet on over 2.5, found some value in it... This is going to be Zurich all the way I believe. Good luck all...
