Bilbao - Xerez

Bilbao will be looking to bounce back after their poor away form and they should do that today against the leagues worst team at home, where they are relatively strong. Bilbao have been on a poor run of form, but 4 of the last 5 were away and their one home game ended up with them beating Real. Xerez have just beaten Mallorca but I'd imagine that's only a blip.

Bilbao @
Bilbao -1 @

Mallorca - Villarreal

We all know about Mallorca's amazing home form, 9 played and 9 wins, but they come up against a revived Villarreal team under new management. Could go either way this with the new manager but without Santi Corzola I'd have to plump for the home side.

Mallorca @ 13/10

Osasuna - Tenerife

Osasuna look good value today against a side who have only picked up 2 draws away from home all season. Osasuna are coming off three straight wins in the league and I'd expect them to continue that run today.

Osasuna @ 5/6
Osasuna -1 @ 12/5

Zaragoza - Sevilla : 2 Rank 2

Info: Again the betting companies makes a huge mistake here in my mind. Sevilla has begined to play very well lately and have been impressing on me as they did defeat Valencia. Zaragoza is not impressing me at all with losses after losses and is now on the second place if you turn the league upside down. If Barcelona or Real Madrid would be playing against Zaragoza, then the odds would be 1.45 but now just because it's Sevilla, it's 2.10!!! That is just eye candy and will be taken all days.

Mallorca is going to miss out on Central Defender Ramis.

Rossi and Cazorla out for Villarreal

Going to be a tight one here. Maybe under?

Sport Football (Spain)
Event Athletic Bilbao (-0.75) - Xerez
Selection 1 (Asian Handicap)
Strength 10/10
Date 07/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price 10bet @ 1.74 (Back)
Reasoning Leones suffered two away defeats in last two rounds at Depor and Espanyol, so they have plenty of motivation to win this game agains struggling Xerez who won their second win of the season last week against solid Mallorca side. Still, i see that result as a bad day in the office for Mallorca, Xerez is short of quality anyway so they have nothing to hope for at San Mames against hosts who are fighting for European positions.

Santander v Atletico - draw @3.40 ladbrokes
Gona say i wasnt especting that 4-0 result in the cup and i think Santander wasnt either . For sure they will give much more atention at the game this time and would of learn from their erors . This is practicly a miror match were they have the chance to play the same game again bu to change the result . Still Atletico cant be opposed either cause they've beat them already and they have confidence , but having in mind their bad away-form i believe this will end in a draw . Is just fair and plausible...

Osasauna v Tenerife - @1.85 canbet
This i'll make my strongest decision of the day . Osasuna are behaving good nowadays winning the last 3 games they've played where Tenerife is really struggling loosing 6 points with Zaragoza in the last match . Tenerife are just the worsts team away from home from the spanish division , their best results on foreign soil being two draws... from nine games played .

Zaragoza v Sevillia - @2.24 betfair
Fair odds for Sevillia here . They are boosted again after the core of the team has recoverd from injuries and they will favor their chances tonigh with a relegation candidate like Zaragoza . The draw could stand in the way of this bet but looking at Sevillias away stats i see that they dont like this outcome - either they win or loos , from 9 games , 5 wins and 4 looses .

Selection 1 (Asian Handicap)

Reasoning Decent price for Osasuna who raised their form lately, and has 3 consecutive wins including the last one at Madrigal.
Tenerife will struggle untill the last round IMO to avoid relegation, they have only 4 wins so far and all of them on their ground. One of those wins was against Osasuna, so hosts have enough motive to win this game tongiht, and stay in the race for EL maybe, next season. GL.
