Villarreal vs Atletico Madrid

Villarreal is sixth with just two points in front of Atletico who is seventh.

Important match for both teams as this match will decide who will occupy for now the last spot with the right to qualify to UEFA. Villarreal currently sixth will try to resist the fierce attack of growing giant Atletico who has been great last few matches. Unfortunately for Villarreal, they will not be counting with the valuable help of midfielder Riquelme who is the brain of all the offence in Villarreal. Without him they cannot create that many chances and the statistics show how decisive he is and how much he is missed by his team mates when he is absent. From 11 matches in which Riquelme was not on the field they have won only 1 match, drew 8 and lost 2. I don’t think Villarreal will have a chance against a huge team like Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid has been magnificent lately with seven wins out of last eight matches. A Champions League spot is the main objective and I don’t think that anyone thought they could make it two months ago. But with a change of manager plus a long run of victories, what looked like an impossible mission is now more then possible. On Saturday their main objective will be to take over Villarreal's UEFA spot and I think they will make it without much of a problem. To do this they will have to win and I think they are more then capable of doing so. They will not have midfielder Maxi Rodriguez due to injury, but they have a quality replacement in Galletti. Ateltico’s creative midfielder Ibagaza who was in doubt will play. I expect Atletico to get a result.

Villarreal with no Riquelme makes the team harmless. The European dream of Atletico will surely motivate them as UEFA is right in front of their noses. I think Atletico will win, but Villarreal can be lucky at times, a lucky draw is possible.

Atletico Madrid 0:0(AH) is safe in my opinion. Gambookers @2.35 10/10

after the Osasuna debacle I was planning to lump big on Barca expecting a backlash bitch-slap for Sociedad but Barca haven't won there since 2001!

though according to stat365 Barca have a VBottomHalf record of 12-2-0 and Sociedad are in 14th! so?
Sociedad have only been behind twice at HT in 14 home games -perhaps the X/2 HT/FT double is on the cards?

any thoughts?

Seems to be a mistake there - the 2.35 with Gamebookers is for the draw no bet, not for Atletico (+0.5)

No worries Eksperto . I agree with Adythom myself, I quite the look of the draw in this one. Villarreal without Riquelme, Sorin, Javi Venta and Guayre, Atletico without Gabi, Petrov, Maxi Rodriguez and Valera.

As you pointed out, Villarreal draw a lot when Riquelme is missing, and Atletico haven't won in their 4 trips to El Madrigal. I think Atletico will be happy just not to lose this one, and although Villarreal may not be so happy with a draw, I'm not sure they'll have what it takes to win this one. I don't often back draws, but I think I will be on this occasion.

I took the +1 handicap to Atletico Madrid at 1.65 Expekt
Looks more safe than a straight draw or the away win

Racing Santander-Valencia away win 8/10 interwetten:2.00

Valencia will play today very hard and critic game, but in this situation big clubs like Valencia know ow to control game and take from that what they want.
I found this bet at interwetten and think that is more then sure for 1.50.
Valencia is on the 3th and racing on the 13th position.Valencia didnt win last away games when it was 0-0 against Malaga where Valencia played very poor.On the another side Racing drawed 0-0 last home game with Mallorca.Racing already lost some home games from teams wich are not so strong and quality like Valencia and i think that Valencia can find way to take all three points here.

Racing Santander-Valencia over 2.5 7/10 10bet:2.26

Valencia drawed last two games with 0-0 and playin like that can have same days like Liverpool in england, coz that kind of futbool is not so atractiv and have not positif results. Now they play away game against Racing where thay need to take three points.Racing also drawed last home game 0-0 with Mallorca and looking for that it seems that we can expect again a hard games without or with just one goal but i think different.
Valencia a big part of their games played with under this season and one time they will must to score more then 2 goals and this is nice opportunity against Racing wich will not play under preasure.

RE-Celta Vigo V Athletico BilBao

Celta vigo a very good home team stats 10-0-3 against Bilbao stats 2-4-8

staraight win 1.7

A blip on asian @ -0.5 on celta is on off @2.0 which is the same as a straight win.

very unusual for an asian to throw this up.

realmadrid have not lost in the last 6 head to heads, but i am steering clear of them after they lost to mallorca during that torrential rain storm. shocking. i lost a wadge of money. may be worth a punt today though.
good luck mate

Exclamation Re: Spain - La Liga (18-19 March)

Real M. - Betis

I dont like REAL but, they are just 2 games without win and 2 games without scoring a single goal.... Time for changes in that way...

-We shall see today many goals from REAL in betis`s net... yes the odds for real are small but they play at home , so 1.40 in some kind of combo is good enough...

-Valencia has 52 points just like REAL and they play away with stronger oponent...

-betis is in downtrend , in last 4 games they have 0 wins and they scored just one goal ,,, so sad...

-Today Betis is in wrong time in wrong place,,, agree?

I'm thinking Malaga at 1.9 A.H 0

It is a critical game & they need the points badly, on the other hand Saragosa has the cup final & 2 of their best players Milito & Alvaro will be left out.
