Default South American football (1-2 March 06)

I see some sites have this league spilt into 2 seasons - the Apertura and Clausura, while others stick both together. Does anyone know if they are the same season, or separate seasons?

Gimnasia has 100% record in this seasons home matches. They won all three and have 9 points from possible 9 with goal difference 4:1. But their away record very poor. We all know what means home support in chapionships like the Argentinian one.

Example for great influence of the home crowd is Instituto's away record too. They played three matches away and lost all with goal difference 1:7.

Gimnasia J's last 6 matches (all matches this season):

a Banfield 2-1 L
h Lanus 1-0 W
a Newells 3-1 L
a River Plate 2-0 L
h Rosario Cent 1-0 W
h Boca Juniors 2-1 W

Instituto's last 6 matches (all matches this season):
h Lanus 2-1 W
a Rosario Cent 1-0 L
h Boca Juniors 1-1 D
a Olimpo 2-0 L
h Independiente 0-5 L
a Estudiantes LP 4-1 L

Instituto is know as very weak team and everybody expects them to have very bad season. Gimansia J is not one of the strongest teams in Argentina, but they are stronger that Instituto for sure. When we add home crowd support, then we will find out who is the big favorite for this match. For me this is home win.

PS I am sorry because of not good explanation

Anyone have any thoughts on ESTUDIANTES tomorrow night? On paper it looks a banker, they are home to 3rd bottom Tiro Federal, who are a poor side and have 1-1-4 record since Clausura began , losing both away games. In Apertura, they were poor, finishing 2nd bottom with a 4-3-12 record (2-1-7 away). Estudiantes are much the better side, Copa Lib qualifiers and currently 5th with a 2-1-0 home record (3-2-1 overall).

Possible bets:

ESTUDIANTES @ 1.5+ BETFAIR

ESTUDIANTES HT/FT @ 2.0 STAN JAMES

ESTUDIANTES - 1.5 ASIAN HANDICAP @ 2.38 STAN JAMES

Got a treble on tonight in the Primera Division.

Boca Jnrs. They have a great head 2 head against thier opponents tonight. Boca have not lost in the last 10 matches with Gimnasia LP. Although Gimnasia have a good away record and Boca have been less than impressive at home in the Clausura I still feel that Boca should win this game.

Estudiantes is my next pick. Only lost once in 8 at home and do have an outside chance of the Clausura title if they pick up more points. They play against Tiro Federal who are one of the worst in the division. They have only one win in the Clausura and are struggling near the bottom of the table.

My last pick is Gimnasia J. They have a very good home record and play another side who are struggling near the bottom with just one win, Instituto. Gimnasia J last lost at home way back in October against Velez and incedentally October was the month where Instituto last won away from home, a 3-2 win against a very poor Racing side. Home win for me here.

Good luck tonight guys
