Default Some infos from Italy.

Hello folks, someone of just said that there is a big suspsect about Bologna- Siena drawn fixed, in Italy the bets on it are closed, it is quite clear that it is fixed.

about PERSONAL HOPINIONS about other matches I'd say that:

1) I'm going to bet on Ancona- Chievo 1 (4.25/1), it will not a fixed match, but Ancona after the relegation played well all the matches and Chievo it is just save from the relegation!
2) A good bet could be on Genoa- Salernitana 1 (in Serie B), Genoa is doing great lately and the "1" pays 1.65/1 here
3) Reggina- Parma, it will be a deathmatch, I would have bet on Reggina this morning (2.65/1) but I heard just in time that Di Michele still could risk for not playing the match. It is a quite difficult match, avoid it!

I'll continue tomorrow if I'll have some more infos!

Good info, Luigi. Just to clarify - the odds you took on Ancona were surely 4.25 and NOT 4.25/1 as it would mean 5.25. As most people around here are from the UK, they could be misled by this.

FYI - Bologna v Siena is blocked in most places, some books (none on the web) are still offering it, but @ odds between 1.25 and 1.35 for the draw it's NO BET, fix or not.

Default Bologna-Siena

Thanks for the info.

Re: Bologna-Siena

I haven't had another check of internet bookies since I got back in this evening - as the previous post states, it looks like none of them are offering this game. But...

I have Ladbrokes, William Hill, Stanley and Coral high-street bookies all local to me, and they'll all have their european coupons in their shops tomorrow. What chance they'll still be taking bets on the game over the counter? [More importantly, perhaps, is if they do take the bet, what chance they'll actually pay out?] And how about the 0-0 again?

They'll pretty sure not list many matches - out of interest, only three fixtures are listed @ B365 for instance and they can be considered one of more adventurous books in the business. Will be interesting to see if anyone will offer the match but I pretty much doubt it.
0-0 not that certain either, 1-1 is much the same and looks better (if you are fixing the game, that is).

Default Italian matches

Can't find the Bologna-Sienna game anywhere, except Betfair who are offering a price of around 1.55. Can't see the Brescia-Perugia game at many bookies although curiously Ladbrokes have priced it up at 11/5 which is very tempting..Anyone got any news on this game?

Well Jack, it is possible that the match will not played, infact the owner of Perugia (Luciano Gaucci) would have retired the team from the championship seen the "bad refrees" it had had during this season. But a last news is saying that Perugia will play against Brescia. We could say that Perugia is in war against the president of FederCalcio Franco Carraro, so they risk for been "punished" by refree also this Sunday, but maybe this time they'll not doing nothing against Perugia, seen that it is hopeless for saving at this moment!
Just my 2 cents!

Default No surprises...

So...the results of my trip to the bookies this morning...

William Hill: not offering any Serie A games at all - not even Inter-Lazio (live on Eurosport).

Ladbrokes: offering seven Serie A games - matches at Ancona and Bologna not available. Game at Brescia is priced 1.83/3.00/4.00.

Coral: offering seven Serie A games - matches at Brescia and Bologna not available. Game at Ancona is priced 4.50/3.25/1.67.

Didn't make it to Stanley.

Modena v Sampdoria (2) Flanchi is a striker in the Samp side that has impressed and might go to euro 2004.

Reggina are as side you can take on with 6th placed Parma who have a very good away record and are priced at 9/5

Tables toppers Ac Milan away to Udinese chancey this one but Milan are priced the right side of evens.

Default Bologna - Siena

FT : Bologna 3-1 Siena

Funny where the source came from for Bologna-Siena! Even funnier how bookies all round took to that speculation...

Luigi, mind sharing where you got your 'news' from?

edtkh - there must have been a major draw coup on this one - if odds were available, as short as 1.15 was seen by myself. Anyway - as I said last week or so - I don't actually buy such "well-known" gambles as they are watched closely by everyone and have a tendency to fail. At the same time, there are several small coups week in, week out and - interestingly - they NEVER mean a collapse of odds or only @ some books. Interesting.
Well - would you back a draw @ 1.15 - 1.35 (my local books' odds)? I wuldn't even think about it.
