Here's my pick for today in the Portuguese League:

Leiria-Braga
Leiria is a decent team and I've said it here before they'll move up the table sooner or later and will avoid relegation but they're still at the bottom and these things do not happen overnight even with a new coach in place.
Braga also has a new coach and I think they will also improve a bit from now on.
They'll be missing Central defender Rodriguez who arrived late from his International duty for Peru but Braga has more quality and players who can win the game by themselves if needed.
I'll take Braga's higher quality tonight.
My pick: away PK;

Good luck!

There are things you can't control when placing a bet...refereeing mistakes is one of them.
Tonight Braga scored a "clean" goal but it was (wrongly) disallowed by the linesman...

Cheers.

Not much time today...

Leixoes vs Sporting
1 unit on Leixoes or X at 2,30 at Bwin

Leixoes has lots of support at home, will be with full squad, only lost 2 times in 10 games and are playing well. They dont score a lot, but they dont concede too, and they come from a 3-0 win against Braga, a team that one week ago won to Sporting by 3-0.

Sporting will miss Tonel, Stojkovic, Djaló, and Miguel Veloso and Moutinho will be tired after playing in the mid-week. Also Romagnoli only trained half of the week. The squad trained all together only a day and after bad results, this isnt the best can happen. Sporting only scored 2 goals in 5 games away from home and only won 1 out of 5... Tough match for them..

Also take a look at Mattersburg in Austria and Liverpool and Under 2,5 at Arsenal.

Good luck,

Benfica will win, but not easily... The odds has no value... Maybe a 2-1 or a 1-0 the final score.

Soccer Re: Portugal - Super Liga (Nov 23-26)

My picks for today:

Leixoes-Sporting
Leixoes has a good coach and a young but talented team.
They also have strong support from their supporters.
They have only lost twice out of 10 games so far in the League.
Sporting is in bad form lately and have only won once away from home this season, scoring only 2 goals and allowing 4. Even though they already played away to Benfica and Porto this is still a poor away record for a team like Sporting.
Sporting will also be without centre back Tonel (suspended) and Serbian Keeper Stojkovic and forward Djalo.
My pick: home +0.5AH/+1AH (Asian Handicap)

Academica-Benfica
Academica is not doing very well so far this season despite the recent coach change.
They have not beaten Benfica at home for 34 years now and have won only 1 game in their last 10 (1-0 at home against P. Ferreira).
Benfica will be without Uruguayan Internationals Maxi Pereira and Christian Rodriguez who arrived late from their International duty for their country and will be rested for wednesday but IMO the team will have a big boost in terms of quality and (even more) security at the back with the return to the roster and both from injury of Brazilian Under-20 International centre back David Luis and Portuguese International midfielder Petit.
With them back (they were out for around 2 months) and even without the appropriate rythm yet the team surely improves.
Paraguayan forward Oscar Cardozo is also doubtful for tonight and I think coach Camacho will spare him for next Wednesday home game against AC Milan.
Still, with Nuno Gomes, Rui Costa and Di Maria Benfica has more than enough quality upfront to score and win the game.
My pick: away -1AH;

Good luck!

Exactly as I expected, only in the injury time Benfica got the 3-1...

From JCTips and me, you have a 2-0 for start this weekend...

That's right Zigoto, as expected we got a 2-0 start for the weekend in the Portuguese League ...
...I must admit I was concerned when Nuno Assis had to be replaced after a few minutes into the game and after Academica scored that extremely lucky goal as it seemed luck was going their way.
Benfica games are like Hitchcock movies this year ...
I went 9-2-1 overall today and surely had a very nice profit (won Benfica in the last minute, lost the Roma bet in the last minute...luck evens itself out in the long term).

Porto probably will win, but a 1,30 odd against the team that are playing the best football in Portugal at the moment have value? Dont even think about that...

After a great day yesterday, tomorrow is other day where I spent my time analysing the games, so I have few time to write about them... Here are the main lines...

Belenenses vs Amadora
1 unit in Belenenses at 1,82 at Betfair
Belenenses is a team that fights for the top 6 in Portugal while Amadora usually only fights to dont relegate. There's no absences on the teams, so this bet is because of the difference in quality between the squads. Belenenses are good at home, and Amadora is bad playing as visitor. Also Belenenses got this week to strenght the team as they have many new players and they need to train together to gain mechanisms of play.

Maritimo vs Naval
1 unit in X or Naval at 2,16 at Bwin
Yes, Maritimo are doing good results and have quality in their squad. I know it, I even got a 6,4 odd on them last week. But for this game they will be without Bruno, their playmaker, Olberdam, a defensive midfielder that controls most of the defensive plays of the team and Fabio Felicio, an excellent winger. Maritimo will replace those offensive players for 2 defensive midfielders and a central defender that will play as a midfielder. There's no one to build the plays and Naval defence can stop the few plays that they do. Also Naval 4-4-2 will control the midfield, and their 2 fast forwards can do damage to Maritimo.

Good luck,
