Default Norway. Sun 27.06.2004

Help, team news etc greatfully accepted! I think that these games look pretty good.

Vard Haugesund v Mandalskameratene (2)
Vard are poor. Mandal have been involved in quite a few high scoring games and are (3 1 2) away. The two defeats were by Pors (4-0) and Aalesund (5-2). The Pors game is their only defeat in the last eight. 10/11 is good value to me.

Bryne v Stromsgodset (1)
Bryne are a strong home team (5 0 1 20 4) and inflicted the only defeat so far on leaders Start Kristiansand, who've won all their other games. The one defeat (0-1) was to Mandalskameratene on the opening day of the season. Stromsgodset are 4 0 2 9 7) away from home but their four victories were against teams below Bryne, with three in the bottom four at the time. Their defeats were against Aalesund (3-0) and Mandal (1-0). To me the games a home with possible X cover.

Moss v Tromsdalen (1)
Short odds but a banker all the same. Moss are (3 1 3) at home but their defeats were at the hands of the top two and Mandal.

Bodo/Glimt v Molde (2)
Molde have only lost two of the last nine, one of which was (2-1) away at leaders Tromso. They also inflicted Rosenborg's only home defeat (2-0).
Since beating Tromso at home (2-1) in the Arctic derby Bodo have gone in to something approaching freefall, picking up just two points from six games, scoring two and letting in fourteen. At 12/5 this is the standout price on the coupon.

What a strange set of results today! I had Viking and Mandelskameratene as my two bets this weekend on merits of value, form and stats to date, and they both let me down so disappointing day for me too nezfan...

Well, sorry about that. All 4 games were down. A suprisingly high number of shock results as you say Metalliclan. Does this explain the absence of Snowman et al?

I still maintain that this is one of the more predictable leagues and I'll be back next week. Until then...

I'm tempted going for the straight draw in Lyn - Rosenborg tonight at 19:00 CET.

Gamebookers has it 3.20

Lyn has had a good run lately and and could pass Rosenborg and secure the second spot with a win. Rosenborg are still strong but not as dominating as before.

Any comments ?

Lyn being at home I give them about a 40% win chance and I got odds of 4.35 from Expekt, so gone for a Lyn win tonight - purely because I saw it as a value bet.
