Holland Jupiler
Soccer - Volendam/Cambuur - total Over 3 (-105)
for the regulation time held on Mar 14 at 2:00pm [pending]

2nd-place Volendam (42-18 GF/GA in 16 home games; 69% overs) takes on 18th-place Cambuur (25-37 GF/GA in 16 away games; 69% overs). Volendam have played five straight overs; Cambuur three straight unders, but two were at home where they tend toward unders and the other was at Haarlem, the league's only reliable unders team.

The only other game that tempts me today is RKC Waalwijk against AGOVV, but the line is O 3.5, +100...believe me, with AGOVV playing, any game can get to 4 goals, and RKC in spite of playing three straight low-scoring games is pretty reliable at home in terms of goal scoring (they've had four of their last 10 get to 4 goals, and three of those games were at home). However, what's putting me off if that aside from the 4-4 laugher at Omniworld, AGOVV's other recent away games finished 0-2, 0-3 and 0-5...and RKC really reminds me of another promotion hopeful, ADO, which was AGOVV's last road opponent...AGOVV held ADO to 0-0 until the 77th minute, losing 0-3 in the end for a push. I would not be at all surprised if AGOVV tries to play tight and RKC doesn't push them, so the extra half-goal makes a big difference in my view.

My main pick tonight is Volendam -1.25@1.85

The main reason for this pick is the artificial pitch volendam use!.They have a home record of 9-5-2 (42:18) wheras cambuur are 4-3-9 (25:37)away.Volendam are 2nd in the table and it is the sort of game they need to win if they have any hope of going up as champions.

Currently looking at other games and telstar away 23/10 and fortuna sittard at home 7/5 show some value.Odds for RKC -1.5 are drifting a little (out to 1.70) and if they can drift out a little more then this will become playable.

Hurry up with your views Davidmphil

RKC moved from -1.5@1.60 to -1.75@1.70 with bet365

What a joke. They may well win comfy but no way does a jupiler league team deserve these odds!!

Good luck ATT, missed the good picks, trying to make something on the in-play in Germany. Hope you will be posting earlier tomorrow

Dordrecht v Telstar

Both sides here are in midtable now but Telstar are the side moving in the right direction and are good value for the away win for me. 4-1-1 in their last 6 games is proof of that and that loss was to a side I expect to finish the season strong in the form of Den Haag. Dordrecht started the season well and missed out on a playoff place which at the time they should have secured. It seesm they are playing out time now with nothing at stake bar pride and thats evident with their current run of 1 win in 11 games. Tough ask for Telstar but that can do it for me.

Telstar @ 3.55 betfair

GA Eagles v RBC

Eagles since claiming their place in the playoffs have been very ordinary in the league. 2 wins in 14 league games have followed since then which is relegation form in any league bar this one maybe! RBC are a better side than their results have shown and have surprised me with their indifferent showings this season. They have lost 3 of their last 4 but those defeats were to sides in the top 6. As much as I would like to back the Eagles here I can't defend them, they struggled last weekend in Deventer to a 1-1 home draw with FC Eindhoven who have yet to win on their travels. Confidence must be shot with the Eagles and I expect RBC to come through this and take advantage and claim an away win.

RBC @ 2.92 betfair

Fortuna v MVV

Fortuna have struggled for several seasons lately but have given their fans some hope in recent weeks with some impressive displays. Last weekends win at form side FC Zwolle was the result of the weekend for me and they ended the home sides unbeaten record with a fine 3-2 win. They also won at Volendam 3-2 which only one other side has managed all season so their recent efforts on the road are impressive to say the least. They just need to nail it at home in Sittard. Tonight sees a good side in MVV visiting but they come here off the back of no win in 7 games, an ideal time for the home side to play them. Anything near their efforts in Zwolle and Volendam will for me see them secure the 3 pts.

Fortuna Sittard @ 2.6 stan james

Haarlem v Helmond

Haarlem are bottom and that takes some doing with some of the sides in this league. Their recent run on no win in 8 games has helped them achieve that placing and they wont fancy their chances tonight of ending that run when high fliers Helmond visit them. Helmond are going well in 6th place right now and have 7 wins from 10 to show for their efforts. 2 of the 3 defeats have come on the road but they also have won at tough places like MVV and Go Ahead so they can win when the chips are against them. Tonight I fully expect them to follow up last weeks win at MVV with another one here tonight.

Helmond @ 2.2 coral

Quite fancy a double with RKC and Volendam but Cambuur beating RKC the other week has put me off that. Interestingly enough Cambuur play Volendam tonight.

Game to watch has to be Den Bosch v FC Zwolle, should be a tight affair and an interesting one when you consider that FC Zwolle lost their home record last week.

Good stuff as always.

The only one that does'nt appeal is RBC.....IMO they are as poor as the eagles this season.I also had helmond as a possible but even money or less at most bookies is just not high enough for an away win for me.

Lol! Do I want to trust this league, such a crazy league, some funny results last week....

It tend to agree on Volendam, they have a good home record, while Cambuur are poor away - but Cambuur's away record was worse last week before they won

Watching the scores...this morning you could have had O 2.5 in the Fortuna-MVV game for even money...0-3 after 27 minutes.

Who with?

Bet365 who i mostly use tend to start most jupiler games at at least 2.75 goals.

the score is typical of this league.Fortuna beat Zwolle away last week then go 4 down at home within 30 mins tonight

The Greek. They had three games at 2.5 tonight, but that was the only one at even money.

Volendam 3-0 for a push, but then I gave away my Germany winnings on Eindhoven...oh well, at least the RKC game went as I predicted...
