FC Utrecht v Sparta

Utrecht have come back to good form with back to back wins over NEC and Willem II following a run of 1 win in 5. Tonight should for me see them make it 3 on the spin with struggling Sparta paying them a visit. They've yet to win all season and last weeks 1-1 home draw with FC Twente ended a 5 game losing streak. Robin Nelisse has been in fine goalscoring form for the home side and his killer instinct in front of goal could be the key factor here for me.

I totally agree with you David , i see Utrecht also beat Sparta, who will come to try and grap a point here, with Adri "de spijker" Van Tiggelen as headcoach for the second week.FC Utrecht miss Vandenbergh (striker, who also every game starts on the bench), Vander Gun, Sanmartaen and Van Bueren are longtime absentees , now also shew - Atjon is out , but he is this also much on the bench. But due to the other absentees coach Van Haneghem needs to take a youngster for a spot on the bench.
Sparta saw this week defender Jaggy falling out (meniscus).
M.Vorm Utrecht first goallie will be back on the bench after being out for a month, so this is always dangerous betting on Utrecht with F.Grandel on goal. he really is the poorest thing i saw standing between 2 posts in the 20 year i go watch Belgian ,German and Dutch games. This man is capable of everything
although Grandel i'll back Utrecht

Utrecht - Sparta 1

haha, utreg supporter here about nelisse, not the favorite player for utrecht supporters, aldue he scored this season 7 times, this season he's playin not bad that's a plus. before this season with other coach he was SO bad, nobody liked him etc. always blame on him he couldn't score etc. but now with new coach he's on the run. about Utrecht, finally a home-win, away good performance....but coming away games are az, psv, vitesse and ajax..so, 0 points I think hahaha. so the points need to be grabbed in home-games, espacially against teams like sparta(with 0 winnings this season so far), so for me, Pick: Utrecht, Stake: 7/10

Groningen - VVVenlo

This is a pick purely on diffence in class. Groningen isn't very consistent this season but i see here a clear home win. out of their last 4 homegames they won 3 (with last week beating Feyenoord).
VV Venlo won and draw their last 2 outings after they lost the first 4. But the draw and victory were against lowerclass teams (Heracles and WillemII) .
Groningen miss the same players as last week Luciano(secondchoice goallie) , Kolder (striker ,leg injury) and Mathijs(midfield)
VV Venlo miss Ofrany(suspended) and Timisela(inj),Kantelberg(small operation)and Verbeeck(inj).
It's a long trip up north for the players and supporters (the board gives every sup who goes along 5 euro), they expect 150 will travel with them.

Groningen - VV Venlo 1 at 1.50 (8/10)

Never anticpated such a landslide win for Utrecht. Good to see ex Eagle Loic Loval scoring a hat-trick for the home side.

It's a mess @ willem II, new coach etc. still no good results. supporters are complaning.. but this could be the turn around, against weak apponent Excelsior, but on the other hand, this is also a chance for Excelsior to get distance from the last 3(play-off and relegation).. so it could be anyway, i would say Over 2.5, because both defences are terrible. Agree with Pater here dodgy. Big game for both sides tonight. The kind of game both need the 3pts to boost their survival hopes and for me any result is possible here and with that in mind I shall be leaving it well alone.

De Graafschap v PSV

Tough looking game for PSV here tonight. Normally you'd have this down as a nailed on banker away and especially so after the home sides opening game in the Eredivisie, an 8-1 loss here against Ajax. However, credit to them they came back well from that horrific start and since then they're unbeaten at home. They have shown they can perform on the road too winning at Heerenveen and Vitesse so should be safe come the end of the season. PSV have got over the loss of Koeman to Valencia and have wins over Excelsior 4-1 and CSKA Moscow in the CL coming into this. Wouters has a strong squad to choose from for this game and they should have enough quality to come through this for me.

PSV @ 1.53 ladbrokes
