Tonights game is too tough for me to call. Heerenveen have a good overall record againts Groningen both home and away so they look the pick. Gronignen are a tough side at home but that was blown out of the water by their last game when they lost to Heracles 2-1. Heerenveen had gone through a winless run of 4 games but they ended that in style by disposing of in form NAC 3-0 at home last weekend. Groningen have only won 1 of the last 14 home and away v Heerenveen and that makes me choose the DNB on Heerenveen tonight.

Fully expect NAC Breda to bounce back from their poor showing at Heerenveen last weekend where they lost 3-0. Heerenveen showed that wasnt a one off by recording a fine 1-0 win at Groningen last night. Excelsior since winning back to back away games have gone 3 without a win. NAC have won all 5 of recent encounters and they look good here for 3 more points.

Feyenoord should follow their win over AZ win another 3 pts when they host VVV at De Kuip on Saturday. The loss of Roy Maakay is an obvious blow but despite that they should still have enough to win at home. VVV have won well on their last 2 trips away at Vitesse and Utrecht and shouldnt be underestimated and with that I shall leave the game alone but I fully expect the Rotterdammers to secure the win.


De Graafschap have struggled lately and their rivals to avoid the drop Heracles have picked up some form to boost their survival hopes. No wins in 7 for De Graafschap is bad news and Heracles face them at the right time. They come here off the back of 2 successive wins at home to Utrecht and away to Groningen. Only one side is moving in the right directio here and thats the visitors, they are the ones to be backed for me.

FC Twente v Vitesse

Fred Ruttens side have found wins harder to come by in the second half of the season following a stronger showing earlier on but they do come here with wins at VVV and a good win at home over Heerenveen. Vitesse are a good side and always tend to put up a good effort but on the road of late they have suffered some bad results notably a 7-0 destruction at Heerenveen and a poor effort at Willem II when they lost 4-0. A win at Excelsior last week was expected so it came as no shock to me but this is a different task and a lot more tougher and for me the home side should prevail.
