Default Re: Italy 19/20 Nov

Quite a few games could interest me come the weekend.
Juve at Roma I like. Juve been going great guns in Italy losing just to Milan the other week. Roma have been very average at home so far 2-1-2 and need to improve if they're to cause Juve problems.
Inter at home to Parma looks like a good thing on paper. Inter havent quite clicked yet and have a good record at home 4-0-1 and should improve that when Parma come to Milan minus last season talisman Gilardino who's now residing at city rivals AC. Parmas away record could do with improving! 0-0-5.
Siena have a chance to add to their 2 away wins when they travel to bottom side Lecce who look to have a season of struggle ahead. Never the same side since Bojinov left for life at Fiorentina. Siena have already won at Roma which suggests they can win at Siena!
Treviso have lost the lot at home so far and that record suggests that Palermo can win there and make it 2 away wins and add to their decent start.

lecce look like a CS backers dream with a straight line of 0-2's and 0-3's behind them!
but they were extremely unlucky in parma last time out hitting the woodwork 2 or 3 times and I really fancy them to notch against siena.
>2.5gls and a sly punt on 2-2 for me here.

the 3 roma netted are the only goals inter have conceeded at home so far this season and I expect that statement to remain true even after sundays visiters have departed!
parma, depending of course on team news- post internationals, are heading for a pummelling-imo! 4 or 5 nil wouldn't surprise me! but certainly something to nil!

that said I backed them before the roma game and got stung- and it is a CL week next week isn't it!
just before that roma game gazzy_g very confidently posted a lay inter recommendation and I'd still love to know how you saw that result coming gazzy?

fiorentina have been a joy this season -italys wigan but with a lot more history and a damn site more goals!
but their wonderful record doesn't stand up to scrutiny as they prepare for the visit of a true giant-imo! I think they land with a bump and get a reality check from AC this sunday! coming from a goal down to win at home to cagliari and forcing acsoli to their first home defeat this season is all well and good -I even expect them to score- but it's 3-1 milan for me! again team news and CL add doubts but they'll be getting my money!

three straight wins for roma must have them confident of getting something from juve'! but any dropped points and I think the old lady's off top spot sunday night!
another clean sheet and a hard fought 1-0 win for juve'-imo!

I think Roma benefits from playing as underdogs, they feel more comfortable when they can rely on counter-attacks instead of being expected to b the playing team. At least thats my impression of todays Roma.

From reading, Milans record away to Fiorentina is average at best. 3 wins 4 draws and 4 defeats.

in my opinion a good away record is often a fair indication of an effective counter-attacking side, greven
but I think the bitch slapping juve' took at AC will have then more determined than ever, and they'll prove too strong for roma!

hi davidmphill,
we all prioritise the stats and info we can find differently, and previous meetings is something I certainly consider closely!- it highlights bogey teams very well for a start!
but I'm not sure I'd go back quite as far as you have to gather my H2H stats!
some of them were so far away you must have needed a telescope to find them!
just pulling your leg david thanks for the input mate and GL

Treviso v Palermo

Treviso have changed their coach finally after a shocking start to the season, and a season in truth that they really were not prepared for. However, they of course will not lose every game of the season, and will pick up some points along the way, despite come the end of the season, heading for relegation. Palermo are not the greatest travellers in the world, and so tend to let in goals. Treviso are good for a point here i think, and who knows, maybe even the win. +0.25 for the home side at pinnacle at 2.07, IMO, is a little generous on their part, so worth a shot.

Picks

Treviso +0.25 (2.07) 6/10

Roma v Juventus

Juve have won the lot bar the game at Milan where they lost. They bounced back well from that with a 3-0 home win. Roma, unpredicatble have won 3 on the spin including a 3-2 win at Inter in a great game. Roma expect to be without Cassano where as Juve will be missing Birindelli, Buffon, Zebina, Olivera & Mutu however they do have strength in depth and can call upon the likes of Christian Abbiati, Giorgio Chiellini, Patrick Vieira, Pavel Nedved to name a few!
This game of late has thrown up 6 draws out of the last ten games but this season Juve are a different force to Roma and will look to emulate last season 2-1 win here.

Juventus 5/10 @ 2.48 betfair

Inter Milan v Parma

Fallen giants Parma look set for another tough season especially without talisman Gilardino who left for Milan. Parma come into this with plenty of injury problems with the likes of Pisanu, Bonera, Cannavaro & Couto set to miss out. Adriano for Inters been give a kick up the backside by club president Massimo Moratti due to some sub standard games of late for Inter. Inters record in this game of late is decent with a 5-4-1 record to boast of. Parma won last time out but that was against Lecce and their away record is without a point. Inter before that loss to Roma were 100% and with Parma in town they should get back to winning ways.

Inter Milan 10/10 @ 1.33 skybet

Lecce v Siena

Lecce as mentioned before are struggling and heading one way, Serie B. Siena on the other hand are making a good fist of this season and doing ok. Lecce have a 1-1-9 overall record and thjeir only win was a 3-0 home win over fellow strugglers Cagliari. Siena on the other hand have won 3-2 at Roma. The h2h is 0-3-0 which suggests a tight game and its a tight game I believe can swing Sienas way with the help of veteran striker Chiesa.

Siena 4/10 @ 3.65 betfair

Treviso v Palermo

Treviso have a 100% home record, losses that is! Played 5 lost 5. Palermo have been solid so far with just the 2 defeats on the road to Lazio & Milan. Fabio Grosso will look to help take the heat of coach Luigi Delneri following comments made by the club president in the wake of the 2-0 home defeat to Sampdoria last week. Palermo if they're to break into the top quarter of sides this season have to start winning game slike this one.

Palermo 4/10 @ 2.25 totesport

Hello David and others!

I don't think Siena will win at Lecce. Siena missing some important characters - Legrottaglie (suspended) and Tudor, Colonnese, Locatelli (injured). It's time that Lecce show some teets at home. And meanwhile Vucinic (Lecce) shown in U21 qualifiers his current form (hattrick against strong Croats). I expect at least draw, but Lecce all the way is more valuable

GL to all

Does anyone know where I could find team news for the crotone rimini game tonight? On pure stats the 1.99 Crotone at betfair looks a decent price but I have no local info whatsoever.

Team news for Crotone-Rimini from Rimini (so you know the bias!)

Crotone missing Maietta (disqu), Scarlatto, Ferrari and Russo are out but Borghetti is back from disqualification.

Rimini have an unchanged defensive line up from the Catania game with Dei in goal, Pugliesi on the bench, Mastronicola, D'Angelo, Porchia and Manfredini. In centre mid there should be Baccin on the right, Di Giulio and Cascione centre, and Valiani on the left. Ricchiuti and Floccari in attack.

They did lose with that line up, mind!
