Lazio - Catania

Lazio need a win big time here. A loss could see them slip into the relegation places. They welcome back Floccari today which should be a boost. I just can't see them losing this vitally important game regardless of how poor they've been this season.

Lazio @ 10/11

Genoa - Chievo

Too tight to actually call this game but if I pushed I'd take Genoa. However I can see goals in this one considering Genoas goal differential.

Genoa @ 10/11
Over 2.5 @ evens

inter cagliari, guess this is all about mourinho with 128 unbeaten home games out of the way cagliari are the next lambs

inter got a few injuries so guess that means the away team could have more of the ball and posiibly could score a couple especially with a few high scoring games lately

this could end up quite high scoring i think as milito is on form and cagliari got trouble with their keepers, their third choice is playing today cagliari know they arent going to stop inter scoring so should have the mentality that saw them score 3 against milan in this stadium a few weeks ago

over 3.5 goals @ 2/1 looks a very strong bet or more depends on how brave you are over 5.5 goals is about 12/1 this really should come close i think
could be 3-2 or 4-2
and think cagliari will score first @ 4/1 with skybet
or inter to win from behind @13/2 will hill or 7/1 blue sq

I definitely fear La Viola and 2.50 at home is fairly good value. But we're awesome so...

Inter v Cagliari - @9.60 betdaq
Very good odds for Cagliari who are a tough proposal for Inter this weekend . This is clearly a value pick and you cant find real strong reasons to back it . My view at this game is influenced by the missing of Sneijder , Lucio and Chivu who are some big guns for Murinho's squad . Cagliary are decent attacking side and will have some space to play a little of their game with those missing Inter players .

Siena v Sampdoria - @2.90 betfair
It seems that Sampdorians have turned the corner this season with two wins back to back in the last two games whilist Siena is realy sinking . Five loses and a draw in the last six games says the whole story of their situation and even if they will have the motivation to fight its obviouse that they dont have the weapons . If Samdoria play their new game they will overcome them easily... nice price IMO .

Lazio v Catania
- draw @3.40 ladbrokes
Catania has showned some good play in the last 6 games by winning 3 of them and drawing 2 . I cant be on Lazio at this kind of odds under evens , when their play is so rusty . Three draws in the last four games for them and it gives me confidence to back the same outcome today also .

Strictly from the value number of the odds mate ! Not giving it 100 chances to prove its self but only in this particular situation < ordinary betting day > where normaly you wouldnt touch priceses higher than 3 < i suppose > . Value in therms of : it actualy has a chance to be a winner , and odds near 10 worth one such shot !

just cant see with mourinhos record and the third choice keeper that its possible for cag to outscore inter think it should be about 20/1 in all honesty

Yes i've caught you point from the first time and they are 2-0 now , but it was worth a shot giving the fact that Inter were almost outscored by Siena and Bari 2 and 3 games ago and the fact that Cagliari are an attack minded team .

Still half a game infrount ,

P.S. i've said they are a value pick because i dont use strong objective reason to suport the pick , but instead i've take it for the high price , near 10 .

Sport Football (Italy)
Event Fiorentina - Roma (+0)
Selection 2
Strength 10/10
Date 07/02/2010
Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 2.18 (Back)
Reasoning I give small advantage to Roma here cause they are simply playing better football at the moment. Fiorentina can't find their form for some time, they are winless for 3 games, last week though, they played 2-2 against solid Cagliari at Sardinia.
Rainieri's team is making steps towards top 4 every week, they might play without Totti tonight who is doubtful, but Mexes will hold keys of their defense again. Anyway, i expect a nervous game between two teams which have plenty to lose, and narrow away win, let's say 1-2. GL.

fair enough mate, inter just sat back but the poxy linesman screwed my over 3.5 goals as he disallowed a goal when he couldnt even see the action

god knows how the powers that control the game dont introduce video technology in the top leagues, corrupt bastads me thinks

I see this game being a nailed on draw. Roma are in fine form and are doing very well under Ranieri. Fiorentina are gonig thropugh a bad patch and i heard there manager will be looking for a response from the players also they will be trying to get some form going in time for their Champs league encounter.

All in all i see this being tight affair with neither team wanting to lose

Roma V Fiorentina Draw 2/1

Not a good weekend for me. Ended in negative 6 or so units. A bit unfortunate with Napoli playing well despite being down to 10 for the entire second half. Still, that was a pretty crazy game with lots of action that I would have accepted having my stake returned in. Bari just didn't really turn up as I expected them to. The weekend would have been a disaster had Simplicio not got a late winner. Well done to anyone who ended positive this round.

If Napoli had Eleven players for whole 90 min's, we would have been talking about an away win. Stupid sending off cost me £££ , onwards and upwards.

There is one more match remaining. it is the mid-week re-arrangement of Parma - Inter. I had originally picked Inter with a strength of 5 points before the match was called of due to snow. Since then Parma lost 2-1 away to Palermo which does not seem such a bad result considering their form, and the fact it was a late Simplicio goal that won it. However they were on the balance outplayed. Palermo missed some good chances and there was controversy surrounding Parma's goal.
Meanwhile Inter cruised to an easy victory against Cagliari. 3-0 winners with very few scares along the way. While I have not been able to obtain some concrete team news there are no fresh concerns so far as I know. Lucio should be back after serving a 1 match ban. Etoo is back and played his first game since ACN against Cagliari. Between Pandev, Milito and Etoo Inter have three definite goal scorers, even if they are not the most exciting players to watch. I am somewhat rushing into this bet as it is the only mid-week game and I expect the price to drop over time. I took it first time round with the same team circumstances as now so I will follow it with this time. Inter are simply relentless and if I am to trust anyone in a late mid-week game then it will be them. I think it could be a close match and I would not want to get involved with any H'cap betting. I forsee a trademark Inter ground out result. Or at least I hope so.

Inter win - 1.87 - 5 points.

Parma v Inter - 1.86 / betfair
I agree with you 'vires on this one . When the game was originaly scheduled i was picking Parma to get something from it but now i have a different opinion about it . The cruising stile of play that Inter showned with Cagliari made me change my inclination . Even if they are with out Sneijder suspended , it seems that they easily can creat and score with the class attack they have got now - Millito , Eto , Pandev and Balotteli . Two convicing wins in the last two games , one with Milan "2-0" and one with Cagliari "3-0" and i think , that they are on the road to become a force , as a team , this season in the Seria . Yeah i know that they are allready but they are showing signals of further improving and becoming a real winning team , and not just scraping results at a one goal difference ! Anyway , i like the odds for this game cause Parma will be missing two regular defenders at the back , in the person of Panuci and Paci suspended for cumulativ yelows.... and they will be also whitout the midfielder Dzemalli , who played in their last game with Palermo but got out in the 30 minute with an injury at his knee, and will miss for the rest of the season . Parma have good home stats , but i cant see them matching with the quality that Inter has got to offer , and also their form is pretty bad loosing 5 out of their last 6 games ! Inter for me all the way .

Parma

Damiano Zenoni, Hernan Crespo and Blerim Dzemaili all are unavailable while Hernan Paolo Dellafiore, Alberto Paloschi and Antonio Mirante are struggling with injuries. Both Christian Panucci and Massimo Paci are suspended.

Probable Lineup (4-3-1-2): Mirante, Zaccardo, Lucarelli, Dellafiore, Castellini; Valiani, Morrone, Galloppa; Jimenez; Biabiany, Bojinov

Probable Lineup (4-3-3): Julio Cesar, Maicon, Lucio, Samuel, Santon; Zanetti, Cambiasso, Thiago Motta; Balotelli, Milito, Eto'o

Not much more to say, Bearr and ultravires said it all. Anything but an Inter win would be a suprise

Pick : Inter to win @ 1.82

Inter is heading by 8 points. Do they underestimate Parma? and also Parma could be more focus to weekend game Lazio. Inter have nothing to lose but Parma's position is dangerous.
