Default Re: Italian Serie A 18th 19th

In most games this weekend the home teams are looking like good bets, but draws are a serious threat in Italy. Games that stand out for me are :

Roma - Parma : 1 @ 1.44

Roma is having a bad season so far with a home record of 2/4/1. Nevertheless against Parma they should be able to snatch a much needed win. Parma is the worst away team in the league with a record of 0/2/5. In my form table Roma stands 5th while Parma is 17th, the high position of Roma mainly caused by awaywins at Brescia and Siena. This shows to me Roma can still produce the goods. 1.44 are fair odds in my opinion.

Messina - Atalanta : 1 @ 1.833

Messina has a decent home record of 3/3/1 while Atalanta could only get 7 points out of 15 matches and have an away record of 0/2/5. Both Messina and Atalanta are out of form but 1.8 for a home win here looks like good.

Other games that are pointing to a homewin but imo are a bit more vulnerable to a draw are Fiorentina-Chievo, Palermo-Cagliari and Bologna-Reggina. Cover with the draw looks needed here.

Not much chances for the away teams this round I guess, only Sampdoria and Livorno stand a decent chance imo.

Good luck

roma def looks like a worthwhile puntplus parma will have played in the uefa
thats the only one that stands out to me..
and i'll be avoiding inter like the plague..they've screwed me over in quite a few bets so far despite managing to get themselves psyched for the CL and perform in it
in serie a they look a different team

Hi! I can't see any good choice for Serie A this weekend. However, here is some news. I hope it helps.

Palermo - Cagliari. Arrigoni, trainer of Cagliari, won't sit on the bench for the match v. Palermo. He has been banned for one week after the red card got at the end of the game in Reggio Calabria.
The team should be managed by Arrigoni's assistant Corino, but he doesn't have the "licence", so it could be a problem.
Cagliari will miss difender Bega, suspended for one week (red card for him in Reggio). He is not very important and many alternatives are available.
Zamparini (owner of Palermo) said in an interview he fears the upcoming game v. Cagliari a think that a loss for his team wouldn't be a surprise.
This has been considered as a mere pretactical statement.

Last year in serie B Palermo - Cagliari 1-0

2002/2003 (Serie B) Palermo - Cagliari 1-1
2001/2002 (Serie B) Palermo - Cagliari 0-0

In Serie A there is no recent H2H, in the past Palermo and Cagliari met 3 times with perfect balance: 1 victory each and 1 draw.

Udinese - Lazio. Actually I have no news for this game; just a thought of mine.
I think I'll stake few units on away win. I know Udinese is flying high and Lazio is very poor this year, but if there will be an upset in Serie A I think it will be in this match. Udinese won last 2 games without having fully deserved it. Agains Siena they struggled for large parts of the match and in Bergamo a draw would have been the most fair result.
Udinese plays better on the road than at home and so does Lazio.
Furthermore Lazio has an excellent traditon at Friuli, where it won 4 out of 5 last matches played there.
Of course last years Lazio was much stronger than now, so let's say I won't bet on the team, but on the upset!!
Italian bookie SNAI offers 5,00 for away win and I'll go with low stakes (2/10) for fun.

Milan(0)@2.14 at Pinnacle to beat Juventus

Should be a good deal IMO.At the moment, Milan look far better than Juve(amazing results though, but I can't say that I'm impressed with some of their performances - vs.Lecce, Bologna,...), and with 4 points of difference between the sides, they won't give them a chance to make this advantage being even bigger.Except a few long-term injuries, Milan coach Ancelotti will be able to field the strongest available side.

Juventus: Buffon - Zebina, Thuram, Cannavaro, Zambrotta - Camoranesi, Emerson, Blasi, Nedved - Ibrahimovic, Del Piero
Milan: Dida - Cafu, Nesta, Maldini, Kaladze - Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf - Kaka - Crespo, Schevchenko

Lecce(-1/4)@2.05 at Bet365 to beat Sampdoria

With so much talent up front, Lecce should be all over Sampdoria on Sunday afternoon. The visitors look pretty organized at the back, but IMO it won't be enough for players like Babu, Pinardi and Bojinov.Lecce really impressed in last week's 3:3 at Olimpico, against Lazio. With just a few passes, they are able to easily break any defense and to create a fantastic chances, so I really can't see Sampdoria surviving this game, despite their strong defensive record.

Lecce: Sicignano - Silvestri, Diamoutene, Stovini, Rullo - Dalla Bona, Ledesma, Eremenko - Babu, Bojinov, Pinardi
Sampdoria: Antonioli - Zenoni, Castellini, Falcone, Pisano - Diana, Palombo, Donadel, Tonetto - Flachi, Doni

Also, Brescia(11.00 at Pinnacle) looks to me like a wort-of-shot pick.Inter's dream about the title is definitely over after last week's 2:2 draw with 10-men Siena and I really have doubts in their real motivation.I watched the Siena-Inter match last week, and I'm surprised how unorganized was the Inter side. When you mix those performances with the pressure on Mancini and players, you can get a very nice coctel.Brescia coach De Biasi will have a fully fit squad to choose from and after an disappointing 0:1 defeat at home to Roma(93min Mancini - penalty) they'll be up for this one.IMO, Brescia surely have enough quality to make a hell of day for Inter.

Big bet on Milan for me, bet of the weekend, juventus have been slowing down lately and have not looked too impressive to me, milan have been playing very well and are on a high after thrashing fiorentina 6-0 last week, milan are a quality side and just have a better team than juve, home advantage won't matter much as juve fans don't bother to turn up, saw juve v lazio, there looked to be more lazio fans there, juve are unbeaten at home but have only played average teams, Milan also have an excellent away record. I am so very confident of a Milan victory, most people will stay away from this game or back a draw but Milan have to be backed at that price.

My last big bet this year probably will be Bologna-Regina 1 2,0.After good game ex sunday when they lost undeserved from Juventus,Bologna will sure win.Because they was stolen and because they gave points to Regina before two years ,I think it will be strong 1.Also I think that much money will be on Bologna but never mind.Odds is going down already ,now 1,8
