| Here Iam fans... Akratitos - AEK Akratitos has scored 4 goals so far in 9 games. 3 of them was at home (all vs Iraklis). Their home record is 1-2-1 with 3-2 goals. Akratitos scored just in 2 league games so far... vs Iraklis (3-1) on 28th August!!! and one vs Levadeiakos on 6th Nov. I watched Akratitos live some weeks ago in Panathinaikos-Akratitos, Panathinaikos beat 1-0 but Akratitos was dangerous in counter attacks. But that was probably due to the fact Pana players were thinking about the Pana-Barca game which followed in 3 days and since they had scored 1-0 in 3rd min they didnt try harder. AEK away record is 3-1-0 with 9-4 goals. They do not have the squad that Panathinaikos or Olympiakos have but they do work hard and play like a team always plus they got a great manager (Fernando Santos). AEK beat Larisa, Panionios, Ionikos away and drew Atromitos 0-0 on August 29th. That means they got 3 wins since then... They scored in the last 8 games... 3 of their matches were won 2-0 and two 1-0. In 2 of their away games they were winning from HT and won FT, another was draw HT, win for AEK FT and another, Draw HT/FT. 8 of their total 13 goals were scored at the last 15 minutes of each Half (3 from 31-45 and 5 from 76-90). AEK will miss Ivic and Vienglysnski, but i think AEK can do without em. Akratitos is based in Athens, just like AEK, so there will be many AEK fans present.. If you want to bet on Goalscorer Lyberopoulos of AEK is on form... AEK official site is http://www.aekfc.gr/ Akratitos official site is
I dont know about other betting sites but BAW is giving AEK-Akratitos on 20/11 but its actually on Monday 21:00 Greek Time.

| Egaleo v Levadiakos This will be a tight game, with few goals i expect, but i firmly give the advantage to the home side in this one, who although sitting average in the league, have been pretty solid at home, albeit scoring few goals. Like many teams in the homer league, Levadiakos have really struggled to get going away from home, and have just managed 1 goal on the road in 4 games. The likely result here is going to be a 1-0 or a 2-0 home win i feel. The 1.70 at gamebookers for the home win is definately worth a shot. Panathinakios v Apollon The greek giants go into this one in pretty solid form, with 5 wins from the last 6 after an indifferent start to the season. Apollon look their for the taking to be honest, and have lost their 3 away losses all by at least 2 goals, and i don't see why this one should be an different to be honest. -1.75 on the home side, seems big, but i would like to think it can be defended. 1.95 at pointbet is worth at least average stakes. Picks Egaleo (1.70) 7/10 Panathinakios -1.75 (1.95) 6/10

| Pompey Punt Pana is playing on Saturday cause they got a CL match on Tuesday. The last time they were to play on CL Tuesday it was vs Barca and the game beore that which i attended it was Pana 1-0 Akratitos, im just trying to say that Pana players might save powers for CL clash vs Udinese which they must win at all costs to have any hopes for qualification. But then again, in the match prior to Pana-Werder some weeks ago they played home vs Panionios and won 3-0. So you never know... After being knocked out of Cup from a 2nd Div side Pana president gave a visit to the training grounds to talk to players and also ordered manager Malesani to cut out squad rotation (Pana has played with 16 different starting lineups in 16 matches so far) and find a regular XI side.

| it's got to be bad news if the president interferes in team selection just because there's been one poor result! he's completely undermined his managers authority! is this normal in greece? |

| adythom i dont know what odds you found Skoda Xanthi at but since BAW is giving 1.35 i decided not to even give a 2nd look. So in my opinion if you have it at anything under 1.60 drop it. Thats my opinion, but as a smart guy said once 'opinions are just like assholes, everyone got one' i will post some more info. Skoda Xanthi is the pleasant surprise of Greek League for the past 2 years. They have financial stability, produce some good youngsters, built an excellent training ground and also a brand new little stadium. All their tickets are season tickets, so in every match the stadium is full. Although the weather in Greece is getting worse the past few days and it might be very cold in Thrace (Xanthi) and might have an affect on players and on fans. Skoda Xanthi got a 5-0-0 record at home (best of League) with goals record 9-1. Ionikos will be the first Athens based side which will visit Xanthi (out of 8 totally). Skoda have kept a clean sheet at home in 4/5 matches (the one they didnt manage to do it they won 4-1). They ve won 4 matches with a 1-0 score so far. At home matches they wwere winning HT and won FT at 4 and at the other ones they were draw HT and won FT. 9 of their total 13 goals for were scored from 31-45 min. They conceded only 2 of their total 7 goals with a shot or a header, rest of the goals were conceded with foul (1), penalty (1) and own goals (3!!!). They ve played only 1 match on Saturday so far and won 1-0. Torosidis (starting defender) and Antzas (starting Def Mid and Greek International) are missing due to suspension. Paviot (starting defender) is also missing. Their 2 Brazilian stars Emerson and Luciano will play. Ionikos got an away record of 0-3-1. That means they only lost 1 away match so far. Their goals record is 5-10. (conceding 10 goals in 4 away matches is considered high for Greece if you think that almost all matches end with under 2.5 goals). They conceded 6 vs PAOK a few days back and 3 vs Panionios in early stages of league. Ionikos has drawn 3 games with 1-1. They ve conceded 5/14 goals in the time between 46-60 min. They ve scored 4/11 in the first 15 minutes. This will be the first time Ionikos is playing on a Saturday. Ionikos will be missing Konstantinidis (starting forward), Also Zivkovic and Goodman (starting forward) will be missing. Their youngster Portugeese star Da Costa will play. Last season score was SKODA-Xanthi 2-0 Ionikos [532] 45' LUCIANO de Souza, 60' Carabas 2003/04 Xanthi 2-0 Ionikos [36' Zapropoulos, 88' Zografakis] 2002/03 Skoda Xanthi 0-0 Ionikos 2001/02 Skoda Xanthi 1-0 Ionikos Generally a side (Xanthi) that has beaten both Panathinaikos and Olympiakos aty home last season and PAOK and Larisa this season can overcome Ionikos. But its not worth it at under 1.60.

| Yes adythom its pretty much normal. Clubs in Greece are run differently that in UK for example. Here a guy (who is a billionaire for example and football is his hobby (like Pana president) or some gloryhunter businessman who buys smaller clubs (like Akratitos president) think they are geniouses and know everything and dont let the manager do his job). They decide about the transfers, about disciplining players and even about players physiotherapy. Some of the smaller clubs president buy the clubs shares just to control them for one year and get money from ads, tv right and and other sales and they do not care if they manage to stay clear of relegation (like Akratitos). If you ask me the only club which is ran responsibly and correctly is Panathinaikos Basketball Club. And we have seen results of this. European Champion 1996,2000,2004 numerous qualifrication to European Cup semi finals and so on...

| Atromitos - Olympiakos Atromitos 8th with 12 pts, home record 2-2-1 with goals 5-1. They managed to held AEK at 0-0 at homeeasily i can say. They only lost to Xanthi at home with 0-1. And drew 0-0 at the big derby of Western Suburbs with Aigaleo. They got 4 clean sheets so far in 5 home matches. They had a little crisis in the past few weeks with bad results and got knocked out of Cup by the youth team of a 2nd Div club. They will be missing Karadimos (starting midfielder), Iliopoulos (starting att mid), Corbas and Doe (both subs). Petkov (star of team) is returnuing after a long time out and Chalaris (sub). Dont be fooled by the fact that Atromitos comes from lower divisions. They were playing at Div 2 last seaosn and got relegated to Div 3 but they united with Chalkidona. So one club (Atromitos) gave its name, its logo and its big fanbase and Chalkidona put cash, players and coaching staff. They have a fanatic fanbase and Western Suburbs of Athens where this team is based is notorious. Olympiakos is top with 21 pts. Away record 4-0-1 with 10-3 goals. Has kept only 2 clean sheets away, conceded 1 goal in each of 3 last away games. They will be missing Nikopolidis (DOUBTFUL) (starting Greek international GK), Lemmens (sub Belgian GK), Kapsis (sub Greek international defender), Venetidis (Greek international, is injured from last season), Patsatzoglou (Greek international, injured for 2 years now), Koulocheris (sub defender), Djordjevic (starting Serb international forward), Taralidis (sub Greek U21), Konstantinou (starting Cypriot international), Toure (starting Ivory Coast international). Plus they are playing away in Norway on wednesday and must win if they want to have any hopes of qualification (UEFA Cup). They will have 1200 fans with them (out of 10 000 which is the capacity of stadium). I will advice for Atromitos - Olympiakos draw @3.60

| Ilisiakos - Veroia Ilisiakos 11th with 10 pts in 8 games. Home record 2-1-0 with 8-4 goals. Ilisiakos are my neighbourhood team so i get the chance to watch them oftenly. Their power lies on their home ground and they win most of their points in Zografou (Ilisiakos home, Athens). They got some class players like Kaba (i think he should play at national team) who is for me the best forward of Div 2. Veroia is from Northern Greece so they will have to travel. Their players got stamina problems. Their president got pissed off over the defeat vs Aris and wont pauy the players. Samaras, Koukoulis, Babatsikos are missing and Guela just returned yesterday from abroad. Ilisiakos @1.75

| Kallithea is last (16th) with 4 pts in 9 matches. Home record 1-1-2. Goals 5-8. The 2 home defeats they got are from Pana(2-4) and Oly(0-3) which can be taken as normal results for Kallithea. In the rest 2 games they drew Aigaleo 1-1 and won Akratitos 2-0. It is strange that all 4 home games they played were vs Athens based teams. Kallithea got a now a very good manager (Dumitrescu, x-Spurs player) and are trying to make a fresh start. I think Kallithea is too good to be relegated and is not worth to be last. They also got 2 International Bulgarian players. So in order to be saved Kallithea need to get all possible pts at home and at elast 1 point vs PAOK. They do not face injury or suspension problems PAOK is travelling to Athens without Konstantinides (scored both goals in 2-1 away win vs Olympiakos), Egomitis (sub Cypriots midfielder), Zografakis (sub midfielder), Giasemakis (sub Cypriot striker), Malezas (sub youngster). Egyptian Megahead is coming back from his long term injury. PAOK is having troubles whenever coming down to play in Athens. PAOK Current Season Results in Athens. Olympiakos 1-2 PAOK Panathinaikos 1-0 PAOK 2004/05 PAOK Results in Athens: Panionios 2-0 P.A.O.K. [2.335] Kallithea 1-1 P.A.O.K. [1.659] Olympiakos 5-1 P.A.O.K. [26.792] Chalkidona 2-0 P.A.O.K. [537] Panathinaikos 2-1 P.A.O.K. [11.001] Aigaleo 2-1 P.A.O.K. A.E.K. 2-0 P.A.O.K. [35.994] Ionikos 1-1 P.A.O.K. [1.071] A.O. Aigaleo - A.S. P.A.O.K. ..................... 2:0 (Cup Match) So as you see in 1 1/2 year and in 11 trips to Athens their record is 1-2-8 with 7-21 goals!!! So this will be a draw @3.20 for me

| thanks once again your knowledge of greek football arkadios! I like correct score betting so 1X2 odds don't worry me! the previous results xanthi v ionikos are exactly what I fancy this time! 1-0,2-0 maybe 0-0 aswell for you but not for me! I've decided to add iraklis 1-0,2-0 v larissa to my accumulator - xanthi 1-0,2-0 AEK 1-0,2-0 aigaleo 1-0,2-0 ikaklis 1-0,2-0 thanks again arkadios! |

| maybe I should have gone for <2.5gls? correct score betting is always hit and miss arkadios! but big returns when they do come in make it worthwhile! how close was I by the way? did they just sneak one near the end? thanks arkadios- you're another true PL gem! |

| I wrote about the bad weather, so i think that was the main reason Xanthi didnt win. The pitch was full of water and the ball wouldnt roll for more than half a metre after each pass. So a technical team like Xanthi full of Brazilians couldnt play like they use to. Ionikos hit in a counter attack in 1st half and then it was a massive attack from Xanthi who scored in the later minutes.
