Aue Erzgebirge-Offenbach

These two have quite interesting H2H:

German 2nd Bundesliga 2007/2008
19.08.2007 Offenbach-Aue Erzgebirge 3:2
German 2nd Bundesliga 2006/2007
18.03.2007 Aue Erzgebirge-Offenbach 2:1
29.10.2006 Offenbach-Aue Erzgebirge 3:1
German 2nd Bundesliga 2005/2006
07.04.2006 Offenbach-Aue Erzgebirge 2:1
06.11.2005 Aue Erzgebirge-Offenbach 1:0

All previous meetings were won by home team.

Aue Erzgebirge had much more success at their Erzgebirgsstadion this season with 3-4-1. Only Borussia Mönchengladbach won 2-3 in Aue in 5th round. In last season Aue Erzgebirge also won most of their points at home with excelent 10-4-3 score.
Aue was active during january transfer window and brought:
GK Steffen Süßner (played mainly in lower German leagues)
MF Leandro Grech (solid midfielder, played last and first half of this season for SC Pfullendorf)
DF Adam Petrous (played for Austria Vienna,Sparta Prague,Ankaraspor and Slovan Liberec)
MF Dusan Pavlovic(expirienced midfielder,played for Grasshopper-Club Zurich,FC Saint Gallen,FC Will,AC Bellinzona,FC Baden and AC Lugano)
MF/FW Sanibal Orahovac (played for FC Penafiel, Vitória Guimãres, Red Star Belgrade, Buducnost Podgorica, Mladost Podgorica)

Offenbach managed to get out of relegation zone with good run of results (1-3-1 in last 5 matches). Offenbach have problems when playing away and won only in Paderborn, against worst team in German 2nd Bundesliga.

Still waiting for team news but it looks like this could be home win.

For now my pick is Aue Erzgebirge @ 2.10 stake 5/10

Hello I need some advice.

I am not a german II expert so would like someone with knowledge to help.

I was browsing the the fixtures when St Pauli 4/5 at home to beat CZ Jena 11/4 caught my eye.

St Pauli i understand has a solid defence??

What are there chances tonight Vs CZ Jena who r 2nd to bottom.

Mcfly or any one with knowledge on the games please get back to me

Thank you in advance

Kaiserslautern v 1860 München

Incredible that a 9 man K'lautern sneaked 1 point from Gladbach, considering the effort Lauern had put into it was well deserved even. That definately was a push for them but we also shouldn't forget the widely god impresions they gave in last few games before the break. They haven't won last 3 home games though and are without suspended Beda and Simpson that I'd really fancy to see them play. Still, the team has the class to leave bottom sooner or later and to be more than on eye line to the Löwen tonight. 1860 played a good first half against Augsburg but just missed to net what Thurk punished later. 1860 with only Kucukovic in attack can't be at full strength, performances in late '07 were not the best ones to say it modestly. Therefor, I quite fancy the home odds and play them straight. A worry is the so far ften lacking efficiency of Lautern.

K'lautern @2.54 betfair 4/10

Aue v Offenbach

It's hard to believe in a improving Aue after the last couple performances. For reason, they didn't score in 4/5 I think so that harmless describes it well. They use to be stronger at home at least but as said are the good times some time back now. The strong tendency of home win in this fixture, to which Homer refered nicely in first post, shows that both are home teams rather. Still, I trust Offenbach to sneak at least 1 point from Aue, the better form might give the edge. Offenbach were strong in first half vs. Paderborn but got into troubles in 2nd. It was enough and the long winless run could be stopped. The Kickers are defeatless in last few games and offense got significantly strengthened by the signings of Sousa and Bancé. Forward play needn't hide also nominally now. The away record is just poor, the draw at Hoffenheim as last one deserves respect though. The Offenbach defence uses to be solid so that Aue will probably face resistance at least.

Offenbach (+0.5) AH 1.87 betdaq 4/10

I also like Pauli, Adam, but dare to back them with 2 points only. After their Köln performance and great season anyway, the home side deserves more than that, but maybe this one becomes a close one. Actually I was shocked by the lacking Jena fitness towards end vs. Aachen, still they prooved to be always capable of good offense performances, especially on the road. Still, preference gotta go to Pauli who shouldn't be treated as just a fighting team. GL Adam.

3/10 on the over for me in addition, the match looks like some goals will happen.

Kaiserslautern sacked Rekdal yesterday, just like Paderborn did with Fach. Well, bizare biz, I'm sure if Lautern had converted the penalty to a 2-1, Rekdal would have celebrated a big victory and he'd still be on bord.

Anyway, trying today to recover from a personally poor betting weekend so far.

Btw Homer, well done on Aue on Friday! A great bet, impressing Aue were never in danger.

Mainz v Greuther Fürth

2nd vs. 3rd and this game is likely to become an according game. A weakened Mainz were close to win at Koblenz, at least they could convince. Offense is with Boakye and Borja again, therefor Gunkel is suspended what is a weakness for midfield. But Mainz are not severly weakened, nor are Fürth. Mainz played Under in 4/5 recently, 5/8 home games were Overs though and actually Mainz tend to Overs. The best defence may make it hard for the guests, but Greuther Fürth prooved their offens power often enough. They just beat Aue 2-0 and Hoffenheim before and can seriously be counted to the promotion favourites. The team already plays much better than it was expected, still I don't see the at the level of Mainz yet. But they're surely good enough to challenge Mainz and score here, too. It's two of my favourite sides atm, playing superb football. So I believe in the Over and backed it relatively high.

Over 2.5 goals @1.83 betfair 6/10
Mainz @2.02 betfair 4/10

Osnabrück v Wehen

Osnabrück are unbeaten at home (5-3-0) and come on the back of a great 1-1 at Freiburg. They are unbeaten in last 3, outstanding player is the reliable forward Reichenberger again. Osnabrück use to push, trying to destroy the opponents' play early. Themselves netted 12 times in the last 6 games, once at last in each of them. Wehen are winless in last 10 and are in table middle only thanks to the great season start. Interesting note that they didn't loose last 5 away games at all, drawing last 4 of them. I don't expect them to attack with confidence though what might make up the edge between the 2 promoters.

Osnabrück (-0.25) AH @1.85 betdaq 5/10

Hoffenheim v M'gladbach

The next top match of this round. Hoffenheim are one of the worst away teams with 3 wins only, they couldn't win last 3. Still, they never can be writen off and @2.9 doesn't look bad even for them at home. Hoffenheim had a good start into year with a quite easy 2-0 at Wehen. Individually, they're on eye line to the guests, Gladbach are the more mature team though. But things could be better with the guests, the late 1-1 against a 9 men K'lautern simply was embarassing. 3 of 4 recent games were draws only what shows that Gladbach had stronger periods yet. Both sides suffer from a few injuries but can field more than potent teams. I hope that Ndjeng will really play, with him or without him we should see a few goals in this one, the Hoffenheim defence didn't give the impress to be very stable atm. I fancy Hoffenheim a little tho but it might be good to stay away from an outcome bet in this one. Gladbach played 3 1-1's in last 4, so a small cover on that scoreline is useful here.

Over 2.5 goals @1.88 betfair 5/10
Cover CS 1-1 0.5/10

Paderborn v Freiburg

A fixture in which I don't feel too confident with Freiburg what is a consequence of the 1-1's in last 2 games of these teams. Still, Freiburg have to e fancied a little considering their substance. Akrout has been an useful additon to attack to support guys like Pitroipa or Jäger. Form is no good one though, they are winless in previous 6 drawing 5 of them. The disappointing 1-1 to Osnabrück in last round was the consequence of lacking force in their play, on the other hand it was one of the rare really disappointing performance of Freiburg this season. Pitroipa may miss this one now, what would hurt. Paderborn still are weakened by a few missings but still a team which is not as bad as table is saying. They gave what they had but couldn't prevent the 1-2 defeat at Offenbach which meant the out for former Coach Fach. Still, only 11 goals so far simply ain't enough. It's surely no easy away match for Freiburg but I don't think that Paderborn can achieve more than a draw. The Over is tempting me, but stats speak against it too much.

Freiburg (-0.25) AH @1.89 betdaq 4/10

Augsburg v Koblenz

Augsburg quickly left bottom with an impressive run of 3 wins. That were high wins over 1860 and Fürth and a 2-1 at Jena. Thurk had a dream of a start with Augsburg, scoring twice. Along Diabang and supported by midfielders like Hdioudad or da Costa, Augsburg have an offense which gotta be respected. Defence returned to used reliance so that I see them slightly up here despite facing a tough side with Koblenz. The guests are unbeaten in last 6 and draws to Mainz and Hoffenheim deserve respect. Koblenz didn't scored as often as ususal, but they're always good for scoring even though they didn't make it in 2/3 recently. It is hard to decide between the Over and Both teams to score to be played in this game. The Over is paid 0.2 higher and generally, Augsburg home games use to be rich of goals standing against the mixed trend of this season. Koblenz disappointed at Aue in last away game of '07, still the Over is looking to good to ignore totally.

Augsburg @1.97 betfair 3/10
Over 2.5 goals @2.0 betfair 3/10

Was a good day in german last sunday so im hopin for some home wins, the obv choices are Augsburg Mainz and Osnabruck, i tend to do doubles in Germany and had luck with it but i really cant choose out these three today, im confident they can all win. I had a double of Greuther Furth and Offenbach last sunday so another double would be nice. I think im leaning more towards a Mainz and another just to decide what other team it is. Augsburg or Osnabruck? Good luck everyone

I'm watching Mainz - Furth. Good tempo of the game here. So far chances for both teams to score. a plus for Mainz who brings more players in Furth's 16 metres when they attack. Furth - counters and set plays may be their only chance to score.

The over looks good / Mainz win - too

Tough match tonight. The Over is quite short, just considering small stake on Köln.

But those disappointed against St. Paul and generally, I could be more confident. I'll see if I'll have a bet at all.
