Hoffenheim v Augsburg

Hoffenheim as best team this year made a good performance at Mainz and deserved the 1-1. Previous 2 home games were won 1-0 but didn't Hoffenheim show the used dominance there. Still, Hoffenheim can be called consitent, not only in terms of results. Ba and Obasi are out so that the first choice attack will be replaced by Ibisevic and Copado. This should mean no big weakness at least. Outstanding is also defence work that conceded in 1/6 only.

Augsburg lost 3/4 and have to face promotion fight again possibly. The away win at Osnabrück looked promising but was follwed by a mediocre home performance against Paderborn. Augsburg hardly score and Thurk alone won't be enough in long term. The top forward is back for the guests but Augsburg often lacked of creativity and chances in general.

Missing Ba and Obasi plus recent 2 home games let me be a bit careful, still do I trust Hoffenheim who simply justify bigger stake also in this one.

Hoffenheim @ 1.79 betdaq 6/10

Aue v Mainz

Erzgebirge Aue missed to make a step out of bottom only drawing to Freiburg after a 2-0 lead over Freiburg at home last weekend. They had several further chances in first half and showed their better face. Aue use to convince at home, a recent exception was the defeat to Osnbrück. But the host gained quality in offense with in form Orahovac and Nemec. Aue already conceded 42 but only 1/4 (5/10) recent games were Overs. Overall, Aue home games ended over in 8/12.

Mainz also look like in good shape regarding the Hoffenheim game lately. They are defeatless in 4 on the road, in each of them, Mainz could net once. Not too many goals were scored away but consistency and the achieved points have been alright. Mainz played Under in last 4 and in 8/10 including four 1-1's. Offense can be optimised and the good defence makes it hard for the other team. Goalie Wache seems to get fight, otherwise there would be a problem on this position.

The Aue stats speak for few goals, the oppsoite for Mainz'. I think Aue are not without a chance but the guests should have better cards to win it. Odds are well set and value hard to find IMO. The way both teams have performed of late, let me expect a very lively games and chances for the Over being good ones. The 1-1 cover makes sense though.

Over 2.5 goals @ 2.04 betfair 4/10

Freiburg v Aachen

Freiburg are not eager enough on the road but snekaed 2 points recently at least. Home games have been as convincing as succesful like the 1-0 over Köln and the improvement of defence could be seen. Even though scoring must have been better, with their pressing and the generaly appearance in home games, Freiburg can be expected to keep promotion dreams alive. Coach Dutt has as good as full choice so that Pitroipa may sit on bench again.

Aachen showed improved agaist M'gladbach playing a good but slightly overpaced first half. Not new that Aachen are capable of a solid play but they hardly have shown this in last few weeks. Last few away performances were hestitating and defensive ones, according low scoring results came out. Yet did Aachen perform more enganged ad at least Aachen play with 2 men in attack.

Can't help to expect an Over here despite all the low scoring games of both. Freiburg is the team with more class and playable at even odds.

Freiburg @ 2.0 betfair 3/10
Over 2.5 goals @ 2.0 betfair 3/10

Just watching Hoffenheim - Agsburg... A lady is the referee in this match and I find some of her decisions really ehm.. not so sure...

Anyway, Hoffenheim have fast legs as usual but Augsburg defending welll, Hoffenheim blew 2 big chances (both Ibisevic, grrr!)..

Hopefully they can make it in the 2nd HT.

Great stuff Mcfly - how easy was that over 2.5 bet eh

Interesting to hear about a Woman referee in the Hoffenheim match

To me, its unacceptable that this should happen in the 2nd tier of German football

Mens football should be refereed by men and womens football refereed by Women - simple as that IMO

Understandable your point and I generally agree with you. Female referees just look misplaced in a way.

I'd make an exception with Steinhaus though, she lets one feel to have games under control after all.

I don't hope that too many birds will follow though....
