Some thoughts for this round:

Karlsruhe - Hertha

A lot of missing and in doubt players for tonight's game when Karlsruhe will miss Iashvilli and probably Carnell and Timm (all first team players), and for Hertha the brazilian trio and the heart of the team will miss Gilberto, Mineiro and Lucio with Pantelic being doubtful for the game after he hasn't played in the last game with Serbia. Despite all this both teams will have strong defensive lines so under 2.5 looks a good option here.

Bayern - Wolfsburg

First of all Lucio and Jansen will miss the game according to kicker so Van Buyten is going to start for the second time this season along Demichelis. The thing is i think Maggath is a loser because he has one of the best squads in the league and the team isn't even in top 10 in the league. Secondly Wolfsburg's defense is awful having kept a clean sheet only once this whole year against Hansa Rostock. The only thing that can be somewhat in Wolfsburg's favor is that almost half of the Bayern's starting line-up has played in both games for their country this and last week. But with all these negative points and the pressure on Hitzfeld, Wolfsburg might pull a trick or two to not get completely outplayed, so the bet i'm considering is Wolfsburg 1.5,2.

Cottbus - Werder

Even though Werder will be missing their most affective attacking duo Almeida and Sanogo for this game they can still score 2-3 goals against Cottbus that will miss 2 important players for this game: Kukielka and Bassila. On the other side Cottbus should play to score if they want to improve their place in the table. I know the players might think about keeping a clean sheet against a good team like Werder and to think about it as an achievement, but they aren't in the right position right now and i think their coach knows it very well. The bet is over 3 goals.

Tricky match tonight I guess. Hertha weakened but with Pantelic, still favour Karlsruhe rather.
To really back them, I dunno if I dare this, maybe I should just let it be so.

I agree with the under atothek, might be a smart bet. Nice write up mate.

I can see good value in Stuttgart. Frankfurt haven't won in 4 and Stuttgart are on good recent run of form. If the league champions are to have any chance of getting a European spot, these are the kind of games they must win.

Decided for small stake on Karlsruhe. I think Hertha are more weakened by the outs of the 2 Selecao players and overall still have been no convincing áway, except a few periods at Hamburg and Werder. Karlsruhe were not much of a force recently in terms of scoring but definately have as good offence quality as the guests tonight. One thing is sure I guess, it will get a tough game for the Hertha.

Karlsruhe (0) AH @ 1.74 looks good to me

A strong side who have impressed me in many areas of the pitch. Hertha just aren't a side that can be relied upon IMO. I'm pretty sure this handicap is fairly safe and the hosts should at least draw....

I've gone for HT/FT 1/X. Karlsruhe usually strong in the first half but they don't score many goals at home. Hertha is picking up a bit of form lately. They lost the last 3 away games but to be honest, losing to Hamburg, Bremen, Schalke is not bad at all. In between, they managed 2 good wins against mediocre teams. Karlsruhe is an average team at best and they will have to stop somewhere. Interestingly, Hertha have not earned any draw away this season so this may well be the 1st. I can imagine Karslruhe dominate the first half and score a goal but Hertha fight back hard in the second and equalise with a moment of magic from Pantelic. Just can't stay away from the juicy odd at Laddy, 15 is too big for such a balanced match.

Sorry if it's a bit late but this is a last minute bet because I was twisted between the 2 teams. You can still take it live somewhere I guess.

Sanogo and Carlos Alberto got into a fight in today's training so both suspended until further a due. Cottbus with Prašnikar seem to be giving a lot of beating since their football is not enough to keep them in Bundesliga, and they enjoyed a win over Schalke last time at home, so maybe a small bet on home side could be worth although it's against all my principles

Bochum should have good chances to continue the uptrend with a win over Bielefeld. The 5-3 over Wolfsburg and the 2-0 at Duisburg showed a muchly improved VfL side in contrast to a row of games before. Coach Koller achieved it with a few smaller changes within his prefered first XI. Imhof as replacement for captain Zdebel did a great job in DM and even scored, no need to take him off the field actually. Bielefeld could stop further downfall and a seria of poor performance as well with the win over Nürnberg. The first half indicated on another poor Arminia perfomance but it speaks for them that they could turn the game with better football later. But generally, Bochum look like the more powerful team currently, they could produce quite a lot in attack recently.

Bochum @1.93 betfair 4/10

It seems unlikely that Duisburg can stop the winless run at in form Leverkusen. The host confirmed their good shape with the away win at Wolfsburg which is not so easy to achieve these days. To recognise that Leverkusen perform pretty well on the road mostly, in their home games they are forcing anyway. Schneider probably won't make it back, besides Bayer are at full strength. Well, Duisburg played a little better football partly in recent games but that's been not enough as they couldn't even net in last 3. 8 defeats in last 10 look too bad to be confident with Duisburg for the rest of this year at least. Defence is still weakened, still coach Bommer considers to let his team start with a 2 man attack.

Leverkusen (-1.25) AH @1.87 bet365 4/10

Taking the over in H96-Schalke. Hannover played overs in 8/14, Schalke only 3 times profiting from a stable defence and suffering from hardly scoring for a top side. Surely not encouraging that Schalke didn't play a single over in last 7, still I rather expect the over in this one. Schalke are under huge pressure, until the next vital win in league, coach Slomka will stay heavily threatened. Recent home performances were okay (not succesful though), but the impression of the games at Rostock and Cottbus were no good ones. Schalke should be able to score at Hannover however, and I think Hannover will do so as well. They gave good performances in previous 3 home games, winning 2 of them. Hannover are capable of playing their role in an possibly ambitous game. Jones, Pander and Kobiasvili what weakens deefence/midfield of Schalke. Hopes are lying on returning Kuranyi and Altintop.

Over 2.5 goals @2.12 betdaq 3/10

Finally also some moderate stake on Bayern to win by 2 at least. It wasn't much necessary for the first rumours in and around the club at first glance, but of course are draws to Dortmund and Frankfurt and the defeat at Stuttgart a very poor outcome for Bayern. Partly it was bad luck but mainly have Bayern simply to give what they can even if the opponents appear makeable. Ribery and Demichelis are slightly doubtful now but expected to play since they passed the last training. Van Buyten replaces suspended Lucio besides. Wolfsburg are in good shape regarding offence play at least and should be good for a goal or so as well. On the other hand, defence was quite struggling recently, at least Magath has full choice there for this tough match. I'm relying on a angry Bayern team though.

Bayern (-1.5) AH @1.76 betdaq 4/10

Don't have a really good feeling for Werder even though they are faourites of course. But the suspension of Sanogo might be of consequence for them since quality in attack can't hold pace with the powerful midfield in which Andreasen is out. Cottbus were alright in the last few games and the Werder odds also can be resisted here.

In terms of form, Stuttgart should be favored but I don't really trust them yet really. Offence is doing alright again what is to question in defence partly. Frankfurt need to improve and play more forward but I don't see them chanceless. The over might be a good bet but both team haven't been very stable.

Well I'm rather reluctant to bet today as its so soon after the international break, so could be dangerous.

But Bochum @ 1.94 looks like a good bet I agree with you there Mcfly. The only other bet that tempted me was Hannover (0) AH, but it's probably a bit too risky.

I do like the look of Nurnberg for Sunday. Their price seems a little too big despite their recent problems. Have to wait for some team news before deciding.

GL all today

Leverkusen - Duisburg
imo Leverkusen will be the winner here. Duisburg miss 9 players and they didn´t win one of their last 3 rounds. Only 3 wins in this season versus Bielefeld,Cottbus and Dortmund. 10 defeats also versus the co-climbers Rostock and Karlsruhe. Leverkusen at home won in the last home round versus Bielefeld 4-0. Bernd Schneider is back in the squad but it´s too early to bring him in the first eleven. But Leverkusens coach Michael Skibbe miss only schwegler! No injured players..

Leverkusen to win

Nobets for me are ...

Cottbus - Bremen
2-1-1! Cottbus have a possitive home balance versus bremen. Cottbus get their once win in this season in their last home round versus Schalke 04 (1-0). Bremen will have a hard fight versus a defensive cottbus. Not easy to predict if the bremen attackline will crack the cottbus defense...

and

Bayern - Wolfsburg
Ex bayern coach Magath is the new king of wolfsburg.he´s the manager the general manager and the coach of the club. he know the bayern team very good and wolfsburg invested the second highest budget in new players. 30 millon euros for a lot new players. Sousa is back and also Marcelinho is a good midfielder. It´ll be not an easy win - if bayern win.
