__________________ Last time I was inside a woman was when I visited Statue of Liberty - Woody Werder Bremen v Wolfsburg Werder at Bayern was a great game, there were no tactics but offence. Klasnic is doubtful, but Borowski and Klose are excellent in form (and there's still Micoud). Bremen have had some problems with their defence, but to be honest, I think they needn't much of it here. Wolfsburg are a strange team. If a game ended at halftime, they would be first - but counting only second halfs they would be last!! So they have some discipline and mental problems, they don't play constantly. Often they play without passion, their last game was a disappointing 1-1 at home against Köln. At the cup some weeks ago they reached a 1-1 after 90 minutes at Bremen. But here too, Wolfsburg had a single chance and Werder problems to score. But this isn't probable to happen again, Klose or Borowski can currently bring the points alone. I just can't see here anything else but a home win, and probably an high one! Bet Werder Bremen 9/10 Bet Werder (HC -1) 8/10 Borussia Dortmund v Hertha BSC Berlin Dortmunder's injury problems have become bigger - Ricken has heavily injured and will be missed for a lon time, as well as Koller. Defence star Metzelder is doubtful and Rosicky isn't really fit for the 2nd playoff leg, too. Besides, they were not good at Leverkusen last round, and now their opponent is even stronger. Hertha's coach Götz is doing a superb job combining discipline and tactics with thier offensive style. Finally their offence has elements besides Marcelinho. Home scorer Pantellic has yet made it in Berlin, former Ajax rookie Nando Rafael is in splendid form (did an excellent job at the U21 playoffs). The defence has quality, too. I'm sure that Hertha won't loose there. I even put medium stake on Hertha, odds about 3.0 have much value. LAY Dortmund 9/10 Bet Berlin 7/10 VfB Stuttgart v Hannover 96 Surprisingly Hannover coach Lienen was fired after the 2-2 at home against Mainz. The dismiss was caused by some argues between Lienen and the manager, who liked to contract player without having had talked to Lienen. After all the team wanted to go on with him. However, they didn't convince up to now with only two wins. Stuttgart has played volatile up to now. Excellent halftime performances were followed by poor ones. They defintely have quality and I expect them to find their way. With Tomasson, Groenkjaer or Ljuboja their offence is very strong. Hannover is a proper opponent to that time and Stuttgart won't miss the chance for finally winning two games in a row. Bet Stuttgart 8/10 1.FC Köln v Schalke 04 Köln made the first point at Wolfsburg after 6 defeats in a row. Of course coach Rapolder is still in danger. They were not bad at Wolfsburg, but we can't consider Wolfsburg to be always a tough opponent. On average against Köln 2.5 goals per game were shot. Schalke won the important game against Duisburg 3-0 and certainly the break was good for them to recover from the recent hard pressure. I expect further improved Schalker who should be able to win at Köln. Bet Schalke 6/10 Borussia Mönchengladbach v Bayer Leverkusen It has been a very good first third of this season for Mönchengladbach. With the points there has come some confidence, which could be seen recently. Hamburg was lucky against them last round to get a draw. Leverkusen played engaged against Dortmund, winning deservingly. Somehow I'm not convinced of them yet. Even Selecaos Juan and Roque Junior had been both very weak the last some matches before Dortmund. Besides a relaxed and good form Mönchengladbach seems to be stronger than current Leverkusen. Bet Mönchengladbach 7/10 Arminia Bielefeld v Bayern München Hamburger SV v MSV Duisburg These games will probably be wins for Bayern and Hamburg, but the odds are very small. At that price I won't put too much on Bayern, but the handicap draw is a good option. I think it's more realistc than a higher win, Bielefeld had won 3 times before the 0-3 loss at Frankfurt and should be able to challenge Bayern at least partly. Finally Van der Vaart is back at Hamburg and everyone expects a home win. To avoid the poor price it was good to rely on Hamburg and bet on a win by two or more goals. Bet Bayern(-1) 0 5/10 (odds probably around 3.50) Bet Hamburg(-1) 6/10 ( ~ 1.90) 1.FC Kaiserslautern v 1.FC Nürnberg ![]() What a game - last Nürnberg at one position better red devils. If Kaiserslautern don't win their coach Henke will be dismissed. This can't happen to Nürnberg, they've already done that after the 0-1 loss against Stuttgart. New coach Meyer is a pretty good man for them, I guess. The experienced coach certainly can give the young Nürnberger players some confidence back. It was an anxious last performance, the quality is defintely there. Kiesling is a skilled U21 player who has attracted some top clubs yet. In the midfield there's Jan Polak, a czech international player for example, and defence chef is Cantaluppi. They defintely have more potential than Kaiserslautern. At Kaiserslautern there is even more trouble than in Nürnberg. Next to the mediocre performances, there's theatre about club boss Jäggi who is made more and more responsible for the lack of developement since years. Now he probably sooner or later will have the problem to fire a coach again. He was fixed on the current coach, so now people can say that he neither catches proper players nor choses succesful coaches. Looking at the quality and season performances, Nürnberg is in advantage, they shouldn't loose. I even propose some stake on the away win, it's great value! LAY Kaiserslautern 8/10 Bet Nürnberg 5/10 ![]() Last edited by McFly; 17-11-2005 at 04:45. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hi McFly! I`m not so sure that Schalke will win against Köln. We should not forget that Schalke has a very important match in the Champions League against Eindhoven. I also think that they are able to win in Köln. They also need the three points because there sitation in the Bundesliga isn`t satisfying. I will wait with my discission to take Schalke until I have read the Kicker on Thursday. I recommend you to make a bet on Celtic, because we are looking forward to the next victory in the Old Firm Derby!!! Cheers celticmad

| Initial thoughts for the weekend are as follows: Schalke to heap more troubles on my favourite side in Germany, FC Koln. Koln have had a poor run of late and Lukas Podolski's been very quiet for them. Schalke are a solid team and are progressing well in Europe. Werder Bremen look like a good thing to beat Wolfsburg. WB have a great home record and are scoring goals galore so far and are the top scorers in the Bundesliga. On Sunday Hamburg have a great chance to stay in touch at the top. They've already taken Munics unbeaten record and should prove way too strong for Duisburg who languish in 16th with 1pt from 6 away games. Confirmed selections nearer the time.

| Hi McFly! Yes, Mönchsroth is next to Dinkelsbühl. Very interesting that you also come from Franconia. So did you spend your childhood in Dinkelsbühl? I guess that you come back to Dinkelsbühl when there is the Kinderzeche. Cheers Heinz

| M'Gladbach v Leverkusen Agree with Mcfly on the Gladbach pick, who will be looking to carry on their unbeaten home record so far, and that includes 4 wins from 6. Leverkusen have been shakey at the start of this season, but did have a good win in the last round over Dortmund, however i just don't think they are the team they have been in previous seasons, and definately make Gladbach strong favourites here. 2.12 at pinnacle for the -0.25 handicap is far to much IMO, and should be priced around the 1.95-2.00 mark. Werder Bremen v Wolfsburg Werder go into this one off the back of the defeat to Bayern, but did no disgrace in that game, and by some accounts matching Bayern especially in the first half. Wolfsburg are a funny team, one who looks like they can do good performences one week, but throwing in a shocker the next. Mostly Wolfsburg's good work comes at home, and are not really a team who are feared on the road. Anyway, Werder don't often let down at home, and the 1.95 at canbet for the -1 is well worth a shot here. Picks M'gladbach -0.25 (2.12) 7/10 Werder Bremen -1 (1.95) 7/10

| Hi, this is my first post here. You have to excuse my terrible english ![]() Great Forum you have here! This weekend has tough games... Only Hamburg -1 looks very good. Van der Vaart will return and Duisburg has lost 4:0 in München although their Keeper Georg Koch had a fabolous day! So i think Hamburg will squash them out of the AOL Arena Then i go small on Frankfurt to win away @ Mainz. The Odds seem to be quiet good. There are expected half of the stadium to be Frankfurt Fans. This is a hot derby and Frankfurt is on good streak at the moment! And this is half a home game for them! |

| Hertha BSC(3.00) look like a great deal this weekend.Borussia Dortmund are facing some serious squad problems ahead of this match and will certainly struggle to take anything from this match.Defender C.Worns is suspended, attacking midfielder L.Ricken is ruled out for the season, forward Koller is injured as well as Germany U21 defender Brzenska and forward van der Gun(long-term injury), while both Metzelder and playmaker Rosicky are doubtful according to latest news. As for Arminia-Bayern match, keep in mind Ballack is doubtful. |

| Hi seinfeld, are you sure hamburg will score more than 2? they don't seem to be a high scoring side,or is it that duisburg are so bad? I'd like to know if duisburg have a decent goalscorer as they seem to have scored more away than a lot of the top sides? will they score against hamburg?what do you think seinfeld? thanks! and your english is excellent by the way! ps,kinderzeche? -thought it sounded interesting but isn't in my german dictionary! |

| Hamburg v Duisburg Skinny price only for the home win but Hamburg should be more than capable of obliging. Rafael Van der Vaart has been fantastic since signing for Hamburg and has been pulling the strings all season, so much so he could replace Bayerns Michael Ballack if he elaves in January. German international Benjamin Lauth ended his quest for a goal in the UEFA Cup lately. Hamburg enjoyed a good home win over Schalke and this suggests that Duisburgs away record of 0-1-5 should pose no threat to Hamburg who look set for a good campaign in the new year. Hamburg 8/10 @ 1.40 totesport

| Werder Bremen v Wolfsburg Bremen come into this on the back of a 3-1 loss, however it was at Bayern Munich so not too much to worry about. Before that they'd 4-1-0 with 10 goals coming in 2 crushing home wins. Tim Borowski's been the key man and has attracted the attention of many a club in Europe. Wolfsburg have recorded a few wins on their travels including a great win at Hamburg. I believe Bremen to be on top of their game of late and did play well in losing to Munich. Their home record is 5-1-0 and I see no reason why that won't be 6-1-0 come the end of the game. Werder Bremen 7/10 @ 1.57 skybet

| 1 FC Koln v Schalke Colognes 1-1 draw at Wolfsburg last time out ended a shocking run of 6 losses on the spin. They started well to life back in the Bundesliga win back to back wins including a win at Stuttgart. Since then its been all downhill with a record of 1-1-10, striker Peter Madsen is out for a few weeks and Lukas Podolski is rumoured to on his way in January to Bayern. Schalke on the other hand have been solid if un spectacular with just 1 loss all season away to Hamburg. Schalke won well last time out with a 3-0 win at home to Duisburg. Last time this fixture was played Schalke won 2-0 back in 2004 and a repeat of that score is possible. Schalke 5/10 @ 2.12 betfair

| i already said this is a tough weekend, but i think Hamburg will win by two goals. Only Ahanfouf is quiet dangerous, but against van Buyten i don´t see him scoring. Also the other striker Kurth is far from scoring i think. The Danger in here is Hamburg to miss their big oppurtunities and Duisburg scoring by a Free Kick or a corner...But the matter a fact i suppose the game to be 3:0... Also as someone said already Hertha to win @ 3 could be very interessting. Metzelder and Rosicky are questionable and Ricken is injured. So theres only Smolarek who could probarbly score a goal. But Hertha is to up and down for me.... So i´ll stay with Hamburg -1 and Frankfurt away |

| Hi guys! Take caution of Schalke. Keeper Rost is injured and reserve keeper Heimeroth is very doubtful. That means that their youth keeper will probably play, and he has absolutely no Bundesliga experience. Furthermore Schalke will probably focus on their important CL-fixture in the coming mid-week. I still believe, however, that Schalke will win because of their excellent strikeforce, but be aware of the situation.
