Well done on your bet AL XXX, it was a wise one. One of the rare Borussia days I'm afraid.

Good that Hannover and Schalke won, Rostock are as good as relegated.

1.FC Nürnberg v MSV Duisburg

Well, Nürnberg have been in quite good shape but neither over Bielefeld (being 2-0 up yet) nor at Dortmund, the possible despserately eeded wins were achived. Offense play has been okay neglecting that they simply have to convert more, that's what may cost them to survive season besides to have started season as felt ambitous team. However, it's still possible and Nürberg will keep storming. Koller had an massive argue with the Nürnberg supporters at Dortmund and I'm not sure if the fans will forgive him for his argueable rudeness towards them. However, another draw would be fatal for the Club, even the guests from Duisburg have better chances having one point more and the better goal margin than Bielefeld on place 15. The 3-2 over Leverkusen was a little lucky but did Duisburg keep up the engaged play of the last few weeks. They also had a few away games winning at Hamburg ad Bremen, so it may be a challenge to beat them. On the other hand, Nürnberg would have deserved more points lately and the shown football let me believe in the home win.

Nürnberg @ 1.8 Ladbrokes 5/10

Eintracht Frankfurt v VfL Wolfsburg

Frankfurt are coming into this with the mediocre performance at Stuttgart. Well, defense made the early goals possible but they soon gave up also. Recent home performances were alright but they suffered two defeats and one draw anyway. They use to be pretty home strong though and Coach Funkel surely will have pushed his guys for this one after one of the poorest season performances. Three wins in a row made the early rescue perfect, afterwards, four of five games got lost. Defence gotta improve and at least I'm convinced we will see more the offence in this one as well. But Wolfsburg are a hard nut of course and only failed to beat Bayern due to missing too much. You never know with Wolfsburg on the road, nevertheless have they widely convinced in seacond season half and were succesful as well. Recent performance at Leverkusen was great, to have achieved a 2-2 alone deserves respect. They surely can't be written off and I'm actually leaning towards the guests but an outcome bet looks risky. It might well give a lively game so that I reckon the Over is a good bet.

Over 2.5 @ 1.8 stan james 4/10

Bochum with nothing much to play for in the league, even though, from what I know about Germany and the Bundesliga this is a local derby.
Schalke are currently 3rd two points behind 2nd place Bremen and from the direct Champions League qualification.
My pick: away win; won

B. Dortmund-Stuttgart
Dortmund with nothing much to play for in the league while Stuttgart is still looking at a Champions League qualification spot.
I expect Stuttgart's motivation and best quality as a team to play an important role here.
My pick: away win; lost

Good luck!

JC
Dortmund decided to screw Stuttgart's plans yesterday...

Soccer Re: Germany - Bundesliga (6-7 May 08)

My bets for today:

B. Leverkusen-Hertha Berlin
Leverkusen is still fighting for a UEFA Cup spot and they have 19 overs and 12 unders in the league this season.
Hertha has 17 overs and 14 unders in the league and not much to play for.
Last 10 meetings between these teams went over and 15 of the last 18 meetings have also gone over the total.
My pick: >2.75;

E. Frankfurt-Wolfsburg
Frankfurt has not won a match since March 29th and has not much to play for in the league.
Wolfsburg still has a remote chance of qualifying to the UEFA Cup and has a 7-5-2 record in the last 14 meeting beteween these teams.
Last 5 meetings were draws.
My pick: Wolfsburg +0.25AH (Asian Handicap);

Nuremberg-Duisburg
This should be a "dog fight" as both teams are trying to avoid relegation.
Nuremberg is 2-5-3 in their last 10 games overall while Duisburg is 2-1-0 in their last 3 away games with victories away to Hamburg and Bremen.
My pick: away +0.75AH (Asian Handicap);

Good luck!

HSV v Werder

Hamburg bounced back with the win at Rostock but regarding the Hansa performances, this needn't say too much after the downfall of the HSV. At least UEFA Cup is looking good again and they can profit from the defeat of Stuttgart, Well, Hamburg have lost force and discipline towards season end but I don't think they'll lack of motivation for this one after a few disappoiting home performaces in a row even though a draw would secure them fivth place. After all, they may still dream of the Champions League but therefor they need to improve. Werder Bremen were passed in table by Schalke yesterday, they need a draw to get on second place again. Werder have become stable again and the 2-0 over Cottbus was more than deserved. Defence still can be shaky like at Karlsruhe, for that reason Frings will be missed tonight while Diego is back. Offense of Werder has been looking alright anyway with Klasnic,Borowski and Özil in good shape. I fancy to a certain degree Werder to sneak sth from Hamburg and like both the draw and away win actually. Hamburg heavily tend to Unders while the opposite is the case for Werder. Hamburg may keep up scoring also so that I like the look of the Over.

Werder (0) AH
@ 2.23 betdaq 3/10
Over 2.5 @ 1.75 stan james 4/10

Bayern (-1) AH @ 1.7 betdaq 4/10

Odds are solid enough to play Bayern IMO even though they are oly playing for pride and a few club records. Bayern surprisingly left a few regulars at home and only came to the rather lucky draw at Wolfsburg. They're expected with the best XI also this time besides injured Klose ad Altinotop. There is still the bitter taste of the Zenith game but neverthelss, Bayern have done a great job national but need to improve in Europe what can be said about all German teams actually. However, I expect Bayern to invest into this game what is of need as Bielefeld will give their best to resist and thus hold bottom on distance. Not all performances have been impressing but three wins in last five and the draws from Hamburg and Nürnberg proove the good shape of the Arminia. They have the big advantage to be experienced in relegation fight. Kamper and Zuma seem to start the games what would be a good choice as Kamper decided the Bochum game and also Zuma has been important for the team. Still, I just can think of a win from Bayern by one goal at least and this odd surely considers the lacking actual motivaion for Bayern.

Bayer Leverkusen have gone over in 6 of their last 8 games including 3 of their last 4 home games. They need a win here to continue their push for a european spot next year.
Hertha Berlin have gone over in 5 of their last 8 games, having scored and conceded in their last 3 away games.
This is a fixture that usually produces goals so expect top see some here.

Bayern Munich -1.5
Bayern Munich have won the Bundesliga and will look to parade their trophy at home in front of their home crowd. What they don't want to do is then go out and play poorly, so look for the team to give another good game form them. They have won by 2+ margins in 4 of their last 5 games as including their last 3 at home. In their 15 home games, they have scored 35 goals and conceded only 7 while Bielfield have only won once away in their 15 games on the road, where they have scored 12 but conceded 38 goals. Bayern should be able to showcase the reason why they are the champions in front of their crowd with an easy victory

Right, it will get hard now for Duisburg depending on failures of Bielefeld and Nürnberg.

Nice calls on Wolfsburg and the Hertha Over, JC!
