Default Re: Germany - Bundesliga 1 (6 May)

Notice that last 2 rounds now are completely played on Saturday.

Of big importance this round is for Bayern and Hamburg who could decide the championship, besides the relegation battle where Kaiserslautern, Mainz, Wolfsburg and Frankfurt are still really involved.

Kaiserslautern v Bayern
If Bayern win they can celebrate their 20th championship title. Also the draw should be enough with +9 goals. Interesting that Bayern made last year's title true at K'lautern with a 4-0. After an average performance in Cup final they convinced beating Stuttagart with an engaged and good looking play. For sure Bayern will have more problems to beat heavily threatened Kaiserslautern. The host needs a win to get sure of a final at Wolfsburg. With 2 points less than them, a draw could be fatal for the devils. Confidence still seems not the best within the young team, after a very dominating 1st half at Frankfurt they got very nervous after the 1-1 and saved the 2-2 short before end at least. Well K'lautern is capable of a good performance also against Bayern and I expect them here. Bayern seems in form, still FCK is capable to force a draw at least. Bayern could live with that and the big price for K'lautern be exploited. Kaiserslautern has a horrible home stat against Bayern but does not influence me really. I fancy alot the over besides - K'lautern can't affort to begin too cautious, it should become an open and offensive game. Ismael and Hargreaves are out for Bayern, Sanogo for FCK.

Over 2.5 1.74 betfair 7/10
Kaiserslautern(+1) 2.0 bet365 4/10

Hertha v Hamburg
Difficult task for Hamburg though Hertha got hammered by Leverkusen. It sounds strange, but Herta was not the worse team but in terms of scoring. They just did not have appropriate results of late, so it's no surprise that UEFA Cup stays a wish. A heavy blow is the missing of their recent MIP Bastürk. He's a candidate at Bayern for leaving Ballack. For Hamburg Jarolim returns into team, still there are a few huge blows, especially in midfield. They were very lucky at Koln and had not deserved in most of some game before. If Hamburg don't win this one, a final for place 2 at Bremen next week is likely. Well with Bastürk I would have been pretty confident of a home win. Still I favour Hertha a little, they will be more likely to play the better football I guess. Odds let be the value on home side imo. Hertha won 6/7 of last home games against Hamburg.

Hertha 2.8 betfair 4/10

Leverkusen v Nurnberg
Leverkusen is the best team of this year, they really had amazinly big succes after the horrible time before. They need only 1 point to make 5th place safe, but I expect them to be so strong like in recent past, things are simply working these days at them. There have been 6 wins in a row. Nurnberg also is one of the succesful teams in 2006 and made their next year ticket already clear. Nurnberg has what is needed to push against, but current Leverkusen should be too strong to avoid a defeat. Both nearly have full squad, Freier will be replaced by Voronin.

Leverkusen 1.55 betfair 6/10

Monchengaladbach v Hannover
Well the only thing both teams are still playing for are their extra money and the standing in the midfield of table. Hannover finally made a good home play despite the defeat. Well also few succes had both sides at the end of season where overall there were better plays of Monchengladbach. Coach Korbel probably won't stay it because of recent disappointments. Hannover managed only 2 points in 6 games and theoretically need 1 point to get safe for sure. Gladbach used to be weak away and solid at home. There is more quality than on side of Hannover imo. Gladbach can field the best team, Hannover's Enke and Stajner are missing.

Gladbach 2.14 betfair 5/10

Dortmund v Frankfurt
Including the goal difference Frankfurt is 4 points away from Kaiserslautern, with the game Wolfsburg v Lautern next weak Frankfurt should be as good as through yet. Although the home match against K'lautern ended 2-2 Frankfurt was the winner and kept the guests on distance. They could be grateful that Lautern missed to make the 1-0 lead bigger in first half. With the 1-1 Frankfurt began to dominate suddenly. Frankfurt's injury situation lightened up a bit. Preuß, Jones and Rehmer can't play. On Dortmund side, Worns got suspended. Jan Koller has returned on Saturday, he will be a good joker probably. I believe Dortmund wins the game, with nearly all important men on board they have big potential. They use to be strong at home and it will be hard for Frankfurt to survive.

Dortmund 1.8 betfair 5/10

Stuttgart v Wolfsburg
There is big theatre these days at Stuttgart, there was few of succes and several lethargic performances. No doubt they have quality which is rather only potential today. Also if there was wil, it mostly did not help them. Coach Veh warned his players, we will see if this leads to anything. Wolfsburg is 2 points over K'lautern. If they want to avoid a big final game against Lautern, they firstly have to win and hope Kaiserslautern will not do so against Bayern. Wolfsburg for sure is no good side, still they are better than in terrible last year. They lost not undeserved against Mainz at the weekend but I trust them to make a good play here. Van der Leegte and Hofland are missings, importand Klimowicz and Hanke return into team. Under current circumstances an away win seems likely. Bookies reacted on developements so that Wolfsburg(+1) is priced lowly. I try small stake straight on them.

Wolfsburg 3.35 betfair 3/10

Mainz v Schalke
Mainz' win at Wolfsburg was of great importance, they are 3 points over Kaiserslautern knowing that FCK face Wolfsburg next week. So they should survive the season. I think the reduced pressure is rather productive for them and their straight offense footy. I guess Mainz will put more passion into the game, Schalke I expect rather unmotivated. Schalke did too seldom play what they are capable of. Against a powering Mainz, Schalke is not the big favourite, I back Mainz here.

Mainz 2.42 betfair 4/10

Bremen v Koln
Bremen play without suspended Micoud. Werder was not very strong this year and I never would take the home price. The handicap also is not worth it for me, therefor they have not been good enough. I consider to bet Koln a very little, 14.0 is simply far too high even though they are actually already relegated. On the road Koln is doing easier and Werder could not like their perfomance style. Somehow I would not be surprised of a pretty struggling Werder.

Koln 14.0 betdaq 2/10

Herta - Hamburg

Hamburg still have some chances for the tittle, but only if Bayern loose both remaining games and of course Hamburg wins t oday with Herta and in last round with Werder at home.

Herta had some good results lately, but they slowed down a bit and didn't win in last 3 rounds. In last game they lost to Leverkuzen 5-1.

Hamburg is the best away team in Bundesliga and I don't think they will loose in Berlin.

So decided to lay homewin, betfair@2.78. 5/10

And also lay Under 2.5 goals, betfair@2.14. 10/10

Herta is playing relaxed lately and with many goals, first 2-2 at home with 'Gladbach and then 5-1 loss in Leverkusen. I think both teams will score and there's a high probablity that this game will end in Over 2.5goals. Hamburg must push till the end if they want to hope for the tittle.

GL~

Bilefeld - Duisburg

The last rounds in Bundesliga are always full of goals, and I decided to try with laying Under 2.5 goals in this match.

Bilefed hosting already relegated Duisburg. Both teams don't have pressure to play for something so it's expected relaxed game with many goals.

Duisburg lost 5-3 their last match.

I will lay Under 2.5 goals, betfair@2.38.

GL~

Great work as ever McFly. I'm having a little bet on Cologne today as they bid to avoid the drop., looks a hopeless mission mind you! 13.0 with bet365 is a huge price for Cologne who are not in too bad form right now.

3-0 already, surprises me.

Werder seem to have one of their hooray days. Against Duisburg they relaxed too much after 3-0, still no big hope I fear.

Munich 1-0 down and Hamburg 2-1 up. If it stays like that could be a very interesting last day in da bundesliga.

well sorry for the treble. Gladbach and Leverkusen got late goals which lead to draws. Kaiserslautern missed to make the 2-0 even.

Mainz and Hertha made it not that bitter, still I was hoping for more of course

Bayern is champion now, so not that bad day for me.
