Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund

A tricky fixture regarding the recent defeats of both teams, yet is the Eintracht looking like the more powerful team these days. The host lost last three though. Well, Frankfurt can't be blamed really for the home defeats to Nürnberg and Bayern except that they missed to decide these games to their favour. The Eintracht didn't disappoint really at Hannover as well so that current shape is alright. And it can be said that Frankfurt developed and improved during season, in contrast to the guests.
Dortmund could improve the damaged reputation thanks to the cup final a little even though they were starting the games like so often looking hestitating and with a poor offense. A Bayern team with more force would have had not many problems to decide the game but they didn't and Dortmund then held against and gave one of the best perfomances this year. It seems to be a problem to begin their games with passion, often Dortmund got rid off being harmless (too) late. Bottom is seven points away only now so that motivation actually should be not the point actually. The only consistency has been the inconsistency though. Coach Doll freaked out midweeks what reminded of the legendary speech of Trappatoni. Indeed it's a difficult situation for him and the team as Doll hardly gets supported by the club leadership - boss Watzke even anounced he was the only one the team would listen to... It appears unlikely to see Doll as coach in next season still. In terms of line-up, Frei is expected in the attack what should help there. Still, level of performances of the two teams have differed quite much and I give the team a go which could convince in the last few weeks despite the bad results. Regarding the expected Dortmund team, they are not looking weak at all but I rather don't expect them to win this. This fixture often ended 1-1 in the last couple of years, the AH would reduce loss if it ends with a draw again.

Frankfurt (-0.25) AH @ 2.05 bet365 3/10

Eintracht Frankfurt - Borussia Dortmund over 2.5
Frankfurt have gone over in 4 of their last 5 games inclduing their last 3 at home while Dortmund have gone over in their last 4 games including their last 2 away. They have scored 18 goals but conceded 35 in their 15 away games.
Both teams are in mid table position and with little to play for, they will probably be a bit more relaxed in their games and hence should see more open play, which usually leads to goals

Karlsruhe - Bremen
13-8-22 balance in total here. Bremen is the team that striked the most time in league (62 times) so far and they won the first leg 4-0 versus the climber KSC. Karlsruhe didn´t won one of their last 6 rounds before they won versus Duisburg last round tight 1-0 away from home. Bremen miss Frings, Baumann and Boenisch - KSC can´t count on forward kennedy as most important injured player. Bremen could be the winner in this round. Bremen won the last 3 in a row and be back in the top of the ladder.

goal average in total: 3,09
goal average at Wildpark: 3,28

balance in total: 13-8-22
balance at wildpark: 10-5-6

Bremen to win (6/10)
over 2.5 goals (7/10)

Frankfurt - Dortmund
I watched the cup final (bayern-dortmund) and must say that dortmund was underrated here. They performed good but not self-confident enough to crack bayern. The 2nd goal by Toni was lucky.
Dortmund could play for the head coach Doll here. He fliped out on wednesday at the press conference and need points to depose his words of wednesday. Dortmund is 7 points infront to the relegation area. Not safed. They need the points and could be a bit more self-confident after the good game versus Bayern Munich in my opinion. Frankfurt miss Chris,Chaftar,Meier,Preuß and coach Friedhelm Funkel sideline the greek defender Kyriakos who´s important for their defense. Dortmund miss Kehl again also Degen and first keeper Weidenfeller are not able to play. But 2nd goalkeeper Marc Ziegler is a good one. He has very good days but the negative also very bad days. If he´ll has a good one today it´s possible that Dortmund catch the points.

some stuff:
- Dortmund won the most time in Bundesliga versus Frankfurt (33times)
- Funkel never won versus a team that was coached by Thomas Doll

balance:
in total: 25-26-25
at Frankfurt: 19-12-7

goal average:
in total: 3,23
at Frankfurt:3,68

Dortmund to win 3/10

watching a fkcing broadcast with a very comical language over sopcast. understand nothing. Sounds like swedish or something like that...

Both teams Frankfurt and Dortmund are in a controlled offense. I can´t see a winner of the first 45 minutes. Tinga didn´t make a 100 percent chance in the 39th minute. Both with a good performance. Dortmund with some better actions. 0-0 after the first half. Hope to see some goals in the second half.

cheers

btw. some beers and I´ll understand what they say

yeah at least the second half was exciting.

The teams seem to fancy the 1-1 when they face each other.

Hannover (-0.25) AH @ 1.88 betdaq 4/10
Hannover found back to form winning at Dortmund and against Frankfurt in last home game. Also the 2-3 to Wolfsburg was a class performance, in those three games, H96 hit seven times but also condeded five. No need for changes though, the host is defeatless in previous four home games. Hertha come on the back of a winless run of seven. Without Pantelic, force simply is not big enough, at least he is in squad again and may begin the game just like returning Raffael. So the guests may improve in play and offense compared to the poor performance against Hamburg, still it won't get easy to avoid a defeat facing in form Hannover.

Nürnberg @ 1.83 stan james 4/10
The host with the chance to leave bottom with a victory over Bielefeld who would drop down there in that case. The win of Nürnberg over Wolfsburg was vital and totally deserved, especially considering that they were the better teams in all three halves... So the team reacted well on the poor performance at Stuttgart and two wins in last three surely gave them confidence for this extremely important relegation clash. Misimovic is still out but replacement Mintal has been in good shape. Bielefeld surely shouldn't be underestimated after two home wins in a row where from especially the performance against Leverkusen was alright. Well, the guests would be satisfied with a draw probably and thus may concectrate on defense just like at Cottbus where that tactics failed though. But the Arminia had sneaked draws at Hannover and Hamburg before. Home odds are nothing special but acceptable given the better quality. Bielefeld haven't lost last eight at Nürnberg though and won twice in last four travels.

Liking Nurnberg alot tommorow. And will probly play this game with pretty much max stakes. Obviously they come into this game in the drop zone needing a win and quite simply if there was ever a perfect spot for 3 points this surely must be it. I think this price is somewhat generous considering this is such an important game for them and Bielefeld are rubbish on the road allowing 36 goals in 14 games. And Nurnberg aren't great at home by any means but, they are alot better at home than Bielefeld is on the road. See Nurnberg winning this game and wouldnt be suprised if it was a comfortable margain.

Werder Bremen @ 1.9 stan james 4/10
Wouldn't go so far to pretend that Werder are in form again but three consecutive wins (9 goals) and a clear improvement pushed them on second place. They came to two wins and one draw in previous three away games and against struggling Karlsruhe, the next victory is reachable even though Frings and Baumann are out. Yet, considering the toothless KSC of the last few weeks, this doesn't bother me too much. Karlsruhe came to a lucky win at Duisburg after six winless games. Hardly a good performance could be seen of them lately and three goals in last seven underline the harmless offense. None of last three home games got won as consequence.

HSV-Schalke Over 2.5 @ 2.26 betdaq 3/10
I pretend this line is value even though stats rather speak against the over. Hamburg totally have come off the road being winless in last five and even without a single goal in last three. There are severe rumours in the team and it is obvious that the players lack of discipline what really started after coach Stevens had anounced his leave at season end. So performances simply were disappointing ones, still they were close to win at Berlin. Van der Vaart is back and the HSV has the chance to get on place three where Schalke are standing. The guests have been in good form recently, Cottbus was hammered 5-0 and the 1-5 to Werder no bad performance as well, at least in offense. In terms of missings, the HSV is without Jarolim mainly, Schalke miss Pander but Rakitic and Kobiashvili return into squad. Well, preference gotta go to Schalke what the odds do reflect, still this is a game I don't want to get involved in an outcome bet. Both teams tend to unders, Hamburg's previous six games all ended so. Still, I rather expect a few goals to happen .

Leaning towards the home teams in the remaining games but right now not as much as I would fancy to back them. Cottbus home strong of course but they could live with a draw and gave a mediocre performance at Schalke. Bochum haven't played well recently and Duisburg had a few solid away performances in the last few weeks and showing better perfomances in second season half.

Good luck all.

it´s a hard matchday.

Hamburg - Schalke,Nurnberg - Bielefeld and the east side derby Rostock-Cottbus are no bets for me. Schalke and Hamburg fight for a place in champs league. Could be a hard match with lot of fouls, maybe over 6.5 cards. Nurnberg versus Bielefeld is a tight match. Both need the points to remain in the first league. And the east side derby will be a rough match in my eyes. The city of cottbus will closed off and a lot of police will be there. Not sure if the match will going to the 90th minute.

2 goals in 12 minutes for a team that had 10 on the road all year coming in?

What a freaky round. It was looking so promising at HT that I didin't even had the idea to secure the bets.

Especially the Hannover draw annoyed me as Hertha didn't deserve anything.

Bayern @ 1.94 betdaq 5/10

I think Bayern odds are too high partly, personally I'd give them 1.8 or sth. Okay, Bayern often lack of efficiency but they do come to many chances and quality to convert them is there actually. People may think that Bayern are slowing down in league being as good as through, I rather don't believe this and the team may try to compensate the bitter taste of the 1-1 vs. Zenith. Toni plays what is most important, Klose not therefor. But I'm pleased with Podolski lately, he has done an alright job mostly when he played. Stuttgart need to win this if CL shouldn't become a dream only and they actually can be confident after the good win over Nürnberg and with Gomez returning probably (two strikers expected). On the other hand, Stuttgart hardly have had a good away performance and they need to improve significantly there to challenge the host, I reckon.

Leverkusen should win despite the bad going. Wolfsburg have been rather harmless on the road lately.

In terms of betting, I'd say more value is on the guests though.
