Congrats also to the Köln-backers. Glad I stayed, as said, out of that match completely, cause my bet would have been 1X. The way it is only 1 bet in the second Bundesliga for the start and since it won I am pleased.

Augsburg v 1860 München

A derby, Augsburg aint far away from Munich what will some guest supporters encourage to travel a bit up into North. In terms of strength, both sides should be located in first table half at season end, so some quality will be there. Augsburg played a fantastic first season after promotion and quality has been further raised. The national players Drobny (D), Hlinka (DM, impressed yet) and the totally new offence with well-known Szabics, Ledezma and Vorbeck. Defence again should do a good job and also offence is powerful enough with playmaker da Costa in top form. Testings were consistently good performances.

No easy opponent though despite the limited finances - Bierofka and Schroth (injured) have been good signings but more quality got lost with Vucicevic, Milchraum, Schäfer and Milchraum. 1860 will think of the 0-3 from previous year also. And with Kurz they now have a better coach than Schachner was imo. 1860 could covince already, too, especially defence made some good impression (despite the loss of Schäfer). Without Schroth, offence dont look very mighty, Göktan is in bad shape. Efficiency has been a big problem last year yet and can partly be explained by the young average age of the team. Last year's away record was 3-4-10, home record of Augsburg 9-4-4.

1860 may have a stable defence as well tomorrow but Augsburg prooved that they can produce hell of pressure. On the other side, the 1860 offence is weakened and don't have the same class. Odds of 2.46 at betfair are a bit weird and that one should be worth it to be played straightly. Well, it's the first round and 1860 no mugs, so the AH aint unproper.

Augsburg (-0.25) AH 2.06 betfair 5/10

Hoffenheim v Wehen

The first game in 2.Bundesliga for the times which come from Regionalliga Süd. Wehen finished on top position, still is Hoofenheim treated as stronger side due the massive sponsorship of the president (SAP-guru). Hoffenheim's mid-term objective is to play 1.Bundesliga, structure are on that level today yet - besides the tiny stadium. Nilsson (Odd Grenland) and Ibisevic (Alemannia Aachen) as highlights of new signings give defence and offence further quality. Teber, Salihovic and Copado for example are proper for first league actually. Play is modern, former Schalke coach Rangnick leads the developement. In the cup victory over Augsburg, Hoffenheim impressed with their excellent physical shape although a weak before, several guys had had the flu.

Wehen begins season as outsider but for reason did they win the championship of 3rd league - performances had been very consistent. Wehen were on eye line to VfB Stuttgart in the cup recently and had good chances to score more often than once. With Diakité (TuS Koblenz), Dick (Braunscheig) and Nicu (Burghausen), Wehen strengthened the team. Defence was excellent in 3rd league and will be at a high level now as well. With Cenci, they lost their best striker though and it's not clear if he can get compensated. But there is class in the team and chances for holding the class shouldn't be that bad.

Hoffenheim has the better offence being capable of beating the guest's defence. Quality advantage also on the host side and the Regionalliga record clearly speaks for them so that the home win is well-possible.

Hoffenheim 1.91 betdaq 4/10

Paderborn v Offenbach

Paderborn gained much of quality with experienced and skilled players like Kläsener, Noll, Männer, Boskovic and Siradze, not important ones have left. Defence is reliable and yet in previous season they prooved to have a solid offence play as well but quite a lot got missed. On fire Röttger possibly is the only really striker today, with Krupnikovic and Männer there is quality support behind. An option for offence is recently signed Löbe, top striker Müller is ruled out. The cup game at Leverkusen U23 was a close 1-0. Paderborn has a very good team spirit and overall, they may surprise a little this season since there is no big weakneess besides that last year's home record wasn't too strong with
7-4-6.

Offenbach played a pretty poor pre-season where coach Frank couldn't really find his first XI. A better game then was the 4-0 at Sandhausen where at least offence could convince, defence looked shaky despite the clear outcome. Top striker Türker is out for this one, new signing Agritis was succesful at Sandhausen yet and seems to be in good shape. Midfield also is a pretty good one, comparable to the Paderborn one in terms of quality. Offenbach couldn't ever sneak a point from Paderborn and away record was 3-4-10.

Overall, I see Paderborn as slightly stronger team with more drive. This and the not so satisfying pre-season of Offenbach make them my favourites here.

Paderborn 1.95 betfair 4/10

Mainz v Koblenz

Relegated Mainz made a big cut but actually "only" Andreasen, Friedrich and Zidan are losses. All parts of team have new players but anyway is squad very small what might give problems as now yet where many are out yet and Soto inujured severly midweaks. Still we can expect further fresh offence football, technically and tactically can Mainz be counted to the stronger teams. mainz gave some good impression in pre-season.

Koblenz may get a surprise this season, especially the already before strong offence gained further quality (Bogavac and Vata by instances). They already impressed with fast offence play in recent weeks, only concern is that the players have to stop to be satisfied early. Koblenz ain't much weaker than Mainz really and given their full squad and big competition, Koblenz should be worth an unit. However, we should see 3 goals at least, I reckon.

Over 2.5 goals 1.86 betdaq 5/10
Koblenz 4.7 betfair 1/10

Paderborn 1.95 betfair 4/10
I liked this one more than others, mate. I think Offenbach couldn't find the right first 11,too. Suat is out and this is huge blow at offence. New transfer Agritis is not in good shape IMO.Only Toppmöller wont be so dangerous against strong Paderborn's defence..

Captain and top scorer Müller and new transfer Boskovic'll not play for Paderborn but I think Siradze and Röttger are enough replacement..

GL with ur bets, mate

Bloody hell, that was a strange Bundesliga day yesterday. Hope the first rounds will not go on to be pretty unpredictable like in previous year. Well, we'll see what the next rounds bring, some caution seems necessary. Like in tonights game between K'lautern and Gladbach. Lautern as very young team became complete late so that they may need a few weeks to reach their potential strength. Scoring has been the problem of the first some weeks (Rundström not in form), with Hajnal their heart of previous season has gone, too. An even bigger cut at Gladbach where the huge squad got thiner. Also here, defence looks more reliable yet than offence. Id say there is slightly more quality in the Gladbach team but this one easily might become a game on the edge, so to keep away seems the best.

So Mönchengladbach not to lose is good bet?

I've read it,too.. I know that M'Gladbach has the best squad in 2. Bundesliga and K'Lautern has young squad so firstly I think M'Gladbach not to lose but I'm afraid of K'Lautern's home performance.. They're strong at home with good home record..

erhmm.. keep away is the best for me,too
